iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 22, 2004 Can you believe it?THis afternoon a package appears at my doorstepand inside are the ten ubuntu cds!The intel cardboard case comes with a live and an installaction cd.I tried the live cd on an athlon 1.8, 500mb ram ,with an onboard nvidia n soundblastern it worked excellent. boot up was a bit slow, but understandable.it gives you a basic desktop (openoffice, gimp, totem video,cd ripper, cd player, some games, etc ..),with internet n some network tools.everything worked well.their site, where you can sign up for the free cds is:https://www.ubuntu.com/try it out and share it with friends...
