The Belisarius series by David Drake & Eric Flint is great........both of this authors make for great reading, and amazingly enough when combined they produced this awesome series of five books which you can read for free at baen.com.....

I like mostly one author... But I haven't read as much as before tho :oops: The author is named Eoin Colfer, author of the series called Artemis Fowl, which erned an awar, but I forgot which one, and a book called Wish List.
