iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 2, 2004 CAMERA is a cafe bar and media gallery in the West Queen West neighbouhood of Toronto, in the heart of the Gallery District. We offer a unique entertainment experience - a counterpoint to the mega theatre, supporting and encouraging local talent as well as bringing an eclectic mix of rare, hard-to-see and first-run films that otherwise would not find a screen. This truly distinctive concept was a long-time dream of co-owner Atom Egoyan who was inspired by places such as Cinema Parallel in Montreal and the ICA in London. 1028 Queen Street West, Toronto 416.530.0011
iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 3, 2004 Is this the singles bar where people look at eachother through cameras? I think that place was in Toronto.
iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 3, 2004 Nah, sounds like a weird cool idea though. Have you been to one like that?
iGuest 3 Report post Posted December 4, 2004 No! I saw it on A Cook's Tour one day and he totally ripped the sheet out of it. It was hilarious. People sit six feet away from eachother and look at eachother through video phones. You could clearly see both people and they were really sitting close to eachother and she said "Hi you look cute" and he said something and she said "Um, I'll meet you at.. um, the bar!" and he said "OK" and it was so STUPID! hahahaha
