Dont really like his book.. especially "Animal Farm"... but 1984 seems pretty good..

that was sucha intersting book i read it for my Advance english class in 7th grade i dont rember much, but it makes you wonder could that ever happen? and if so would it turn out like that?

i thought 1984 was a really boring and pointless book. animal farm was actually a lot better in my opinion.

Boring and Pointless?If you even have a fauge overunderstanding of politics and world issues, you should easily see why this book is not pointless. Just take a sec and think for a second how "free" America actually is. There are alot of correlations from where the book is culturally and where we might be going if certain things continue to happen.

I agree, I liked 1984. It was one of those books that was just long enough, but not too long to be boring. I also think that the revisionist history, and obstruction of information parrallel where America might be headed.

Despite the fact that 1984 does correlate to issues in the world well of political powers brainwashing people to their liking, and as someone mentioned "free" USofA is a good example, I still think that Animal Farm is a far superior book, because it's much simpler. It has all those issues converted to an ordinary farm experience, with a deep message.I thought the film 1984, was rather boring though, not the way I'd make it...
