It has been often told and shown to us that sharks are beings of prey, they spill the blood of other organisms across the sea. There were movies made on the horrifying incidents where human beings have fallen prey to the "JAWS" of these predating fish, I also remember various pranks being played on people where just a shark tail is used and that drives the hell out of the people swimming in the water. The hunters, as they are mostly depicted come in more than 350 species, and as a matter of surprise, it comes down to us as that they need to be protected. There has been some assessment done by the group Oceania where they observed close to 307 species of sharks and found that 50 of the species could be categorised as "endangered". However, under the Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species (CITES), the white, whale and basking sharks stand to receive protection. The International Union for Conservation of Nature maintains a list which is known as the "Red List" and deals with the endangered species that require to be taken care of. Sharks have occupied the top position in that list as they are the most vulnerable marine beings. The dangers that they supposedly face are The myth related to sharks preying on humans has been falsified, as it has been found that out of all only 20 species consume human meat. The International Shark Attack file reveals that in the year 2011, only 12 deaths have caused due to shark attacks, whereas in the fisheries regulated by humans, millions of sharks are being killed, so the picture stands clear as to who needs to be more protected. So, as we have the power of conserving the nature, why not take a step and even if we do not have the time to make an effort to save them, lets not think about killing them. Source
