The project which started great and i was using it is now dead. According to ComScore, the avg. user of Google + spents 3.3 minutes on the social network. :(Wall Street Journal says that , unlike Facebook users spend over 7 hours, users of Google + spend an average of three minutes from September to January.In contrast to these infos, Larry Page, CEO of Google says that Google became strong competition on Facebook, with 90 million new users since the June launch. But their statistics are only the numbers of new registrations, do not reflect the true user interest because Google requires registration of their social network when you make an account on Google.Anyway Google owns many key services like YouTube and Gmail, every new user of Google + may simply need to use only those services and have no interest in their social network. We can actually see that on youtube there are many google+ features and a direct link to G+.

In an earlier post I had described how Google maintains the human touch while dealing with its employees, even after they leave for their heavenly abode. But here's something that shows up to be quite the other way round. Google has done with the acquisition of Motorola Mobility and aims to register some more innovations in the history of technology, therefore they have decided to emphasize on the "reorganizing" and restructuring of the company. This leads to the decision that 20% of the work force of Motorola has to be laid off, even the top notch position holders like Vice Presidents also have to give up their jobs and a good percentage of offices mainly in India and some other parts of Asia would be targeted, more of the work would now be handled by the staff in Chicago, Sunnyvale and Beijing.The decision also extends to producing less but quality handsets each year in place manufacturing incompetent stuff. They also plan to drop a number of suppliers as well and the amount of components would also reduce consequently. Though that would be bringing bad news to many, there is ultimate growth expected to mark in the records for Motorola. Source This act of google is indeed fantastic. Google is always trying to do good things in some or the other way. It is really very important that all the ancient languages should be preserved as our history depends on these ancient languages. Preserving these languages is like preserving our culture. There are some people who think that the whole world should speak only one common language (mainly english) because this will ease the gap of communication. Using only one language may help reducing boundaries and exchanging their ideas in a better way. What do you think? Is it a good initiative or is this useless?

Announced in 2010 after securing a patent, Google has been working on a car that could help automate further the process of traveling. The volunteer in question was Steve Mahan, a blind person who quite honestly seems to be loving every second of the ride The Google team modified a Prius for the sake of this project and apparently the driver less driver uses different technologies as sensors ranging from lasers, radars and video cameras. As many news websites have mentioned, the common advantages of having these bot cars is that it reduces the number of owned cars, parking hassles and possibly a lot of pollution. Though they have stressed this to be a solution for the blind, it could be a solution for a lot of people. Because if it is a solution for blind people, it obviously would mean that no sort of supervision is required to keep the journey safe and user friendly. Handicapped or recently handicapped people, old people who aren't as alert but still need a car. Pregnant women, drunk people, deaf people, those who can't drive. Epileptic people or even pet owners. A lot of people in this world needing cars but are not allowed to or cannot drive would really benefit. I would not mind if my car dropped me off at work and went along to do the same for others only to return back in the evening to pick me up Even though it is true that there are still a lot of hurdles that need to be crossed before this car is ever seen on the road, it is a nice dream to float on. I would only hope that existing rules for human drivers would get stricter if these cars are coming onto the road since even with the best of technology, no driver is more responsive than a human driver and we remove the reckless ones, driving can be fun for all once again.
