It depends on the availability of technology. It can alienate people that do not have the technology at their disposal. They do not have the access to the knowledge and benefits it provides. I see more alienation in areas where the technology is less available.

Its amazing how as humans we will reteach ourselves to believe that something so bad for us gives us pleasure. I know when I first began smoking it was to feel part of. Now I just want to stop but there is a small pleasure I find in killing myself. Dude, I need to quit.
