  1. Thanks. I looked into it. It's probably going to help me in the second phase, when I will have the time to do a bit of studying and the money to buy Adobe's product. I googled some more (till my eyes came out) and found some promising directions. But any comment/advice is welcome. I'll revise my post when I know more.
  2. Hi there!I need a bit of advice regarding what program to use for creating an escape the room game.I already went trough some postings but they are not exactly the answer to my situation. I am a soon-to-be-out-of-work designer and I am looking into game making as a hobby and, maybe in the future, an alternate source of income. I have almost no programming skills (if you don't count the few Basic and Pascal and C notions I encountered in high-school, a long time ago).So I need a tool (some kind of game development software) that is cheap, or, even better, free, to help me develop a quite simple, casual, point'n click, escape the room game. I want to put it online (ideally to have it playable in a browser window), for free, to test out my ideas, see if others like them and it's worth investing more in this. I already have the scenario and most of the scenes prepared, I just need an engine to make it work. I already looked a bit at Adventure Game Studio, but the graphic is blah, and at Visionaire Editor which is better but needs character development and I don't need a character for this one, just a changeable cursor for a few different interactions. Plus that both are for downloadable games, not online games, as far as I could see, and not quite what I was looking for.To sum it up - game development software: -suitable for escape the room games (2d, no characters)-cheap or free-able to support many, many colors (not 256) and at least 800x600 resolution-easy to use (very little or no programming involved)-online game (optional)Thank you very much!PS I attach a draft of one of the scenes:
