  1. Fixed it by uninstalling and re-installing RAID drivers.
  2. Thanks. I tried that first just to make sure. Please note: the BIOS does recognize the drive as an IDE drive on Channel 3. XP Pro does not.
  3. I just bought and installed a new Sony Optiarc SATA DVD drive in my pc running XP Pro. The bios recognizes the drive on IDE Channel 3 but XP does not. I did the registry hack found in another post but it did not work. I did an Add New Hardware hardware scan and it did not find it either. I have two ATA hard drives and one ATA DVD drive already installed. Any ideas??
