That would be right, I have wanted a DSLR for a while now, and the D40 was in my price range, the macro filter is nice, although it has a very small range of where it can focus. Lens hood I assume you mean barn doors? No it didn't but I plan on getting one, and a external flash. (Probably a speedlight) All the CB's I have seen still have dials, except hand held ones. Here is a little selection of my photography. I use a Nikon D40, with the Nikkor 18-55mm Lens. UV Filter, Polarizing Filter, Foggilizer, and macro filter, since a macro lens is so expensive. Hope you enjoyed it!
