  1. I'm going to say "No". That is not because i'm homophobic or anything.Marriage is a religeous ceremony, which has been taught by the bible. The bible also states that homosexuality is a god-declared sin. Isn't going against the whole concept of marriage totally contriversial?I do not disagree with homosexuality, since it has been proven many times by science that homosexuallity is not just a wild choice, its a choice made subconciously, which nobody can help. What I DO disagree with is going against the concept and marriage, and then blasphomously calling it "marriage".I'm quite sure that there's other ways and ceremonies of declaring loyalty and bonding of people of the same sex. There's no need, in this day in age, to go against religeous teachings.

  2. Yipster... Mars said that its MORE than an RPG maker.I used to hate this program a few years ago, with no programming experience, since I couldn't figure out how to work it. Now I develop on a professional level, maybe I can work this.I'm too lazy to give it a shot though.By the way, do you have to pay for this program now? If you do it's a cheat, cause in the first place all he was doing was demonstrating what he uses to teach his students game design.I think the score was that you weren't allowed to sell your finished products.I'll take a look later maybe, when I get home...

  3. Once you reformat, remember to run Windows Update straight away. Some viruses stick in your boot sector and copy themselves even after you format.Windows Update usually neutralises such virii.Dispite some bad things people say about it, it may be a good idea to get SP2 aswell. SP2 fixes a lot of security holes, and you can bet on Microsoft to halt any further updates on older versions of Windows XP.

  4. There are many programs on the internet which formulate such maths while you're not using the computer, to help find a cancer cure. These are free to download, take 5 minutes of your time, and take up hardly and space on your hard disk.Everyone can do their part to cure cancer. What i'ld love to do is slap every single person who runs that stupid SETI@Home crap. Run the cancer programs, they're exactly the same, and you're protecting people from your own world, rather than searching for people from others.

  5. hey there to all you guild wars players here  i have formed a new guild on guild wars with a small group of friends who also own the game. Currently only at 4 members, but were looking to recruit many more   if there is anyone interested in here ( we are a european guild, european members would be easiest) Then please feel free to message me in game, my character is Link Elvenpath, or e-mail me on richardday31@hotmail.com. For those of you that dont know, guild wars is a mmorpg, which is why i felt that this topic should be put here, if anyone thinks this is in the wrong place, do say :D hope to hear from some of u in guild wars

"friends who also own the game"... what do you mean by that? Do you mean people who are good at it (i.e. ownage), or developers?

I always thought game owners and developers stayed neutral without a guild...

  6. I like nokias, but unless they make a counterpart of my Nokia 6820 (http://www.nokia.com/en_int) with the flip-out qwerty keyboard, I won't be buying any of their new high-tech models.I love the way my Nokia can be used to write text messages in seconds which usually take people up to 5 mins :rolleyes:But another feature i'ld like to see on a Nokia is Windows Mobile Edition. I know Nokia has a pretty stable OS already, but it lacks some functionalities that Windows boasts. It'll probably never happen, but i'ld like to see windows on a mobile that has the versitility of a Nokia.

  7. Pretty cool. Makes me wish I had one  Anyway, 4GB RAM seems pretty miniscule in comparasion to 500GB HDD... Its unbelievable that progress has leaped for HDD, but just took a few steps for RAM.I'm currently on a 2GB RAM/100GB HDD, and I know it just doesn't quite work like this... but shouldn't the RAM be 10GB in comparasion? :rolleyes:Well, maybe you can get 10GB RAM... if not I can see it as 100% possible for the future.

  8. I don't know if this is exactly what you're asking, but Linux seems to me to be much more widely-supportive than BSD.It's much easier to use, anyway.IMO, Linux supports more technology, there are more and more distro's coming out, and being as they're all opensource, they all seem share ideas and eventually support more and more things.

  9. WHAT!!!???? I just saw the picture of the xbox in this topic and there was a memory slot a and a memory slot b!!! Does that mean that your going to need to buy a memory card to save the games?? I thought those days were over....

I think a bit of logic would benifit you greatly. Who wants to lug a 5.25" hard drive in weight of excess of 750g around to their friends... let alone who wants to mess around ripping open your XBox to remove it?

The memory cards are probably just so you can transfer your save games from your hard drive onto the card and take them around...

Anyway, I'm a PS2 man really, but the standard harddrives in the Xbox make my mouth water a little... I really hope Sony jump up to Xbox standards in the PS3...

I mean really, I was a bit disappointed to learn that the PS2 only boasts a measly 32mb RAM and you had to buy your own hard drive.

  10. I like blue for some reason. All my family do really. Maybe because all my family have blue eyes... maybe we just like the sky... something weird probably.

    My favorite color is green.

I like the dark rich greens, I don't know what it is about them but I could just stare at them for days strait if I was bored enough.

Are you Chris? Co-incidence if you are.

  11. The payout may be low, but the payout doesn't really make a difference to these companies. You'll probably find the payout using cheque will be a lot higher. Electronic methods don't cost StormOfCash anything. You'll probably also find the PayPerClick rate is lower, so you're getting less money in the long run.Although, this site does seem to be more stable than NetBux. I hate NetBux's downtime.

  12. My guess is finaldesign didn't work it out for him/herself cos I'd seen it posted on other forums before it appeared on Xisto.

Sorry for the double post, but tricks like these are distributed the 'net over, and were probably started by Firefox developers or contributers. Many of the people here haven't found this trick yet, and were only wise to it once they read it here.

Finaldesign did a good thing posting it here... hopefully the people here will go and spread the word to another forum, or by word of mouth, that way more and more people will be able to do this.

  13. This is an awesome trick! Thanks a bunch.I noticed the difference when switching from dialup to broadband a couple of years ago, and now i'm having flashbacks... you put my Firefox on steriods!@FaLgoR: I think it just increases the amount of threads/connections Firefox opens to the webserver to retrieve files... Instead of loading index.php, image1.gif and image2.gif one after another, it loads them all at the same time.

  14. Yeah, RPGMXP was a disappointment.
RPG Maker 3D would be cool... though I agree that it could be hard to distribute on the internet. Maybe Enterbrain can dsitribute the 3D files from their servers, so all we (fully registered customers, of course *cough*) have to upload is the game files.

http://www.dqdirect.com/ is a good 2D MMORPG engine which is like RPGM2K, its okay if you have Visual Basic 6 and want to create your own online RPG. Yes, it is the engine which Playerworld's is made from.
You're probably thinking... UGH... Playerworlds, crap. But so far, from an hours work i've been able to get scrolling maps and a day/night system in... it's worth a try.

  15. What kind of coding do you use on your sites?

I have so far learnt using a little tables and div/css.

When I started out, I was about 9 (no joke, i'm just 14 now). I was using Frontpage 2000, and making a lot of bad decisions such as frames and BMP images, things like that.

Now I tend to do one of the following: code my site in notepad using PHP, HTML, CSS, SSI and Javascript. Or whip up a design in Macromedia Fireworks and export the slices to html, either just a site header, and add the extra work in Dreamweaver, or a full site design, wherever I want to add HTML, I just remove the image from the cell, and set it as the cell background.

I use PHP, CSS and Javascript quite often.

Although I do have ASP knowledge (which comes from 2 years of VB programming) on my back, incase I have to work with any Windows servers. (Plug: http://www.ashenempires.com/ - A site I designed and coded)
