  1. Poor guy. This is all a result of crazy consumerism that's been on the rise for a long time now. I guess with the current "economic crisis" people want more deals to save a bit of cash. It's still pathetic though and I hope all those people who trampled him know that they did it and feel guilty for the rest of their lives.
  2. I think Steam is absolutely genius. Not only the games released by ValvE absolutely amazing, but the interface works really well. The Steam overlay is great and the new cloud system will be awesome. Your progress and savegames are uploaded online, so if you go to a friend's house and you want to continue playing from where you started off, you just log in and your savegames are on the server. The other extremely appealing thing about Steam is the fact that the games are about half price. I live in Australia and it seems like developers and publishers love to rip us off. Games are so ridiculously overpriced that I rarely buy them. But steam makes them much more accessible and much cheaper too! For example, Team Fortress 2 was $60 AU when it came out retail. On Steam, at the time, I bought the Orange Box for $55 AU. I really don't mind the fact that you have to log in as it's nice to talk to your friends while you play anyway and my games install very quickly, with a download speed of 750 KiB/s for games.
  3. The clear buttons that come with the case are actually pretty crappy. You have to press them quite hard to get the PSP to register them. Plus putting LEDs into them is a huge pain and requires a lot of cutting and fitting the wires around. I've seen some people make push-activated ones, but it's extremely fiddly. There are heaps of similar mods to mine at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. I used to moderate there and post a lot until I had certain issues with what the administration staff was doing and how they were running the place.Anyway, my favourite part of that mod is the second joystick because it improves the way you play FPS on the PSP heaps!
  4. Hey guys I found this while browsing http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/tutorial/mspaint It's a set of barely known features of MS Paint. Sure, Photoshop is superior, but sometimes it's just easier to do something in Paint. Besides, I find Photoshop a bit too fiddly. Hope this is useful to some of you!
  5. Hope they make a great map editor so we can have DotA on a new engine
  6. I run homebrew on my Wii.The program Blackboard is pretty interesting, as is WAD loader. Also try Quake for the Wii. It works very well.
  7. Here it is: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ 8 LEDs with a power switch at the back Second joystick Clear shell Jewel with the Offspring logo USB charging Custom firmware I sold this for about $500. Not a bad way to make money, although requires a lot of patience.
  8. Not only will they know how to get around the filters, the whole idea is dangerous anyway. What if a blacklist were to be leaked? Someone would have a list of active child pornography websites. The entire idea is extremely poorly thought out and frankly, I wouldn't be too hesitant to move country if this were to happen.
  9. Hope this isn't too bad:Deep in a forest long forgottenLived a man of nature rotten,He watched as the sun setThinking of things he should forgetAnd in this forest lived a catWho enjoyed a tasty ratAlthough they were hard to findThe cat did not seem to mindOnce upon a midnight drearyWhen the man was walking tired, weary,He came across an empty spaceWhich the cat used as his living spaceAnd naturally the cat came outAnd seeing the man, began to shoutThe man just stood and staredAs the cat's eyes almost flaredWhen the cat ceased his rantingThe man spoke, eyes slanting,"In ten years I haven't talked to anyone,Just spent my time looking at the sun"The cat forgot why it was screamingAnd now stood with its eyes beamingThem something odd came to passAs the man had found his friend at lastAnd now they live togetherBoth their hearts light as a featherDeep in a forest long forgottenNeither with a nature rottenPlease don't tear it apart too much.
