  1. well...no, becauce magick consists of many arts, PSI, telekinesis, mater shifting, pirokinesis, OBE. It depends on what field really interests you. And you could just google for it, but many pages i saw are: a) childrens stuff; speculations; c) people there have no regard to their own and others safety; That is why i started my own small project. But that is off topic. So as i said, first try to choose a speciality and then do research. If i find anything usefull in terms of web sites, i will post the adress.
  2. I haven't played Civilizations for quite a while, but this games is really really good. At first i was also kind of suspicious about this turn-based system, but actualy i preffer it more then real-time. Just now there are like 2 expansion packs and a bunch of patches out there, each bringing something new and unique. I tend to play Civilizations IV soon, but i want to go chronologicaly from IV to the newest expansion 'Colonization'.
  3. yes, it seems my IP has been band. Got to be more carefull. Where's the link for the live support?
  4. I just got my whole web hosting thing set up, but the trouble is, all of the suddent, whenever i push the cPanel link it tries to connect for a while and then i fails, the same with FTP connection. Everything was ok just a while ago...is it a temporary thing?
  5. What od i mean by that is simple. The practice is based on domination over a doll, that means your will is tronger than the doll, but if you snooze - without knowing it, you might be doing the bidding of the doll. But this is just a theory, as such principle applies in several other practices, so i am not sayinh i really know about it. I see we have different fields, you are better in the dark arts and i'm more of a forest boy
  6. Old cultures are a good source of information, if one is interested in so called magick. Druids and Pagans are a good start, especialy if you intend to be close to the nature. I skip the sacrifises as i don't practise any sort of blood magic, anyway, wanna sacrifise something? How about yourself, it's your hobby anyone, so why involve anyone else? You can do more thatn enough harm without the blood spillage, though i see no reason for destroing when you can create and give life. But this is a matter of taste and mind wickedness. As horrifying as it is, children did suffer from such practicioners, as when you a newborn you know not a single sin, and you just left a place of great strength, you are pure as the 'heaven' it self, a good source of power. The dolls you mentioned, i have not heard of them before, but i do think that you must be strong yourself, as all of the sudden the doll might start giving the commands and the dark mage will be one listening to the orders
  7. The word you forgot was induction. Forced induction. These puppies push extra air in to the engine, letting more fuel to be burned and giving more power (not to mention the strain on the engine...). Which is better? This question is impossible to answer since it deppend on your taste. Now for others who might be interested in the post let's review:Turbo Chager: this gizmo uses the exaust air (the 'nice' and 'fresh' arome you get from the exaust pipe) to spin and pump the air. Exaust makes turbo charger to spin, and turbocharger makes air compressor pump in the air. Now the drawback of this one is that it is being moved by the exaust air, meaning there is a lag. Lag occurs when you switch gears, push accelerator then some time passes before the pressure in the exaust becomes high enough to overcome the spinning speed of the charger and give boost. There are some ways to reduce this. For example by using lighter parts in the turbine but this is a bit off-topic. Another drawback is that it gives little boost on low RPM, and gives good boost solely on high RPM.Super Charger: this thingy gives boost with the help of...the engine it self. Yes, supercharger is connected directly to the engine, meaning it starts working as soon as the engine does (opposite of turbo charger). You can connect it to crankshaft, by belt, by chain so different systems are possible depending on your taste or room under the hood. Now SP gives boost on lower RPM's so you would jump-start with this one, shifting gears like mad. Well at least 2 first gears, because then you go with the higher RPM's and that is where SP becomes more or less useless, as it gives little boost. Another dissadvantage of this thing is that it need the engine power to run. If you need to more power, you use extra fuel, so not only use use more because you gain a boost from the charger, you need to spend even more just because the charger is in motion. So this is the big disadvantage of Super Charger. Ofcourse in the end you do have much more HP, but you also have more fuel cosumption then with the Turbo charger. Summary: which is 'better' ,depends on your driving style. Maeby your car is good on low RPM' but not that quick on higher ones - use Turbo, or maeby it just can't jump-start like others, but feels great once you pass those first few gears - use Super. In my opinion, the best option is both! If you are ready for the fuel bills of course
  8. Well what is mp3 we all know well enough. mp3pro supposed to be an evolution of mp3, by using different algorithms, it was supposed to be able to offer same bitrates as mp3, but take up less space, unfortunately, it seems mp3pro failed, as i haven't heard about it in a very long time. Even the player industry didn't include support for this format, exept 1 company, but they droped it as well. Now i might be wrong, but LAME mp3 and mp3 is originaly the same thing, because LAME is just the encoder used to convert audio to mp3. Now regarding your question about stereo and joint stereo. As you said, stereo offers more than one channel, which enables us to make an impression that sound is comming from different directions, as in case of natural hearing. But stereo doesn't offer just 2 channels, it offers 2 or more channels. Would we have 5.1 audio sistems if it only offered 2 channels? Joint stereo. I will paste a small clip of info from wikipedia on this, as i am not a specialist in this field, i have basic knowledge, so to make shure i get this right, here is a small clip from Wikipedia. Just to clarify if any part is confusing to anyone. The general idea behind this is to merge identical information from left and right chanel in to one, in places where it is possible, thus saving space. It is not continuos, meaning as soon as 'stereo effects' start, like car zooming on left, joint stereo ends, and you continue to hear only the left speaker emmiting sound - the passing cars roar, and starts only when sound on both channels becomes identical again, like a conversation between actors.
  9. Loved the new album, a heroic return after the last fiasco, improved guitar, drums, lyrics. You just feel that good old Metallica spirit returning, bought it recently in HMV and i ain't sorry for a single pound i spent on it. I can't say i have a favourite song, not yet at least. I'm digesting the whole album at once. Ahh...it's albuims that these that make my headbangig life meaningfull
  10. Private servers count...as fraud. All these private servers are illegal unless authorised by the game publisher and since they were not, it is unlawfull to be running such servers. Wanna play? buy it. Your money will go in to making the game better, so the less people pay, the less they get.
  11. Well compared to Vista, XP is faster (if this what you mean by more powerfull), but Vista leads in all those gadgets and options, which i personaly find unnescecary, but some might find them useful, so it's a matter of taste. But XP has more bugs, no doubt about this. Plus, many know about upcoming Windows 7, they just might make something descent and people will jump to reformating their hard drives and installing new Win OS. Besides, Microsoft is making slow, but steady moves towards encouraging people going forward: DirectX 10.1. Now some might say: i don't need it, i'm happy without the extra effects. But let's rebebmber DirectX9 and 9c. Whan letter changed allot, DirectX 9 cards didn't have the ability to launch 9c games and 9c became standart, whereas X9 died. Automaticly X9 card became absolete. Now XP SP2 has support till 2010 October, then there is SP3 which will have 24 months support as well. Do you think that by year 2010 DirectX10 won't become standart? It will, and we will have to move on despite our views, because there is no chance Microsoft will integrate DX10 in to XP. It's the same as becoming your own rival.
  12. Currently i am dual-booting Vista and Mandriva 2009. Well Vista is Vista and i only use it for games, now Mandriva, as in my mind being direct rival of Ubuntu and SuSe Linux is quite good. Easy to install, stable, has a wide range of different software. I'm still waiting for 2009 stable release, still many bugs in Release Candidate 2. I like it because, though easy to use, you can make a real beast out of it, secure as a fortress, and parental control comes in handy too.
  13. Well i can not agree fully on what arcangel said. Do it your own way? Yes and no. If it was all our way, why would there be rituals? If you don't believe magick, it doesn't mean that you are save from it, but if you don't believe it, you will not be able to use it, as your mind will be blocked from the occult forces. Just as you can defend youself from evil forces, same way you can defend yourself from negative aftereffects of black spells. It's a vast area with interesting things, di deep and you will be suprised.
  14. well it is not all that bizzare. As was mentioned before, you hear the language of your mind. Language is only the shell, for it takes when it leaves you vocal cords. See it as telepathy (i only mean it just as an example). Two telepaths don't even need words to communicate, they use the language of the mind, they can be of any race, nationality and speak different languages, yet the language of mind is universal.
