if you are starting off i would suggest try to get the taste of C first and then come to C++ ppl say, u dont need to know C to learn C++ but i would say get the taste of C, for sure you will enjoy learning C++.
for C you can use Kernigham&Ritchie (The C programming language) book
and for C++ you can use a book of Lipman or stroustrup
the C book is very cheap, its a must book for any C programmer. in india its only 95Rs converted to 2 US dollar
You can also go for Thinking in C++. This book generally is downloadable. gud book worth reading -

here is my problem...i have a linux PC installed with redhat 9. i want to run this as an server in my intranet and run phpnuke What all the things required? like PHP, Apache etc...software requirements like this.if i have the lates version of PHP, MySql, Apache, perl. Is that enough? i have heard about the some modules in PHP like pear module etc.. Like this what all the modules i require or all these things are bundled with latest version of PHP.In order for this send mail to work, Do i need anything to do in my server.(its a intarnet network...with DHCP) like opening a port etc..can any one please help me in getting answers for these questions.nagu

you can for sure host a website. but you need to check out with your ISP whether they allow running a server

redirections always let you down in the google page rank especially if you are using redirection in your index page. SO you have to use the script that redirects as well as maintain the page rank. When simply write a code as
header ("Location: $URL");it acts only as a temp redirection which causes most search engines to skip the page. this is because when the webcrawler visits your page, it gets a status code as "http/1.1 302 Found" ie the resource temp moved.
so the best script to use would be<?php header('HTTP/1.1 301 Moved Permanently'); header('Location: $URL');?>
This will help you redirecting pages without letting you down from googlebots.

if you dont have a broadband, 6610 is gud, i have the model and i am quite satisfied with the performance of the browsing. The problems in this mobile phone are you can send an mms with sound clip. You dont have the option to insert a sound clip in mms. Also there is no way you can compose.
I hope most people love these features. I would suggest you to go for 6600. only now you dont have a broadband in your region but 2morrow you may get. its not wise to change ur model at a later stage. Also 6600 being based on symbian you get a lot of other goodies for installation.
6610 being a series 40 model have very limited future-proof option. where as a common OS based model can have more future proof

i use Visual studio.net for C and C++Phpedit is a quite a gud freeware program which i use for editing php, html and many other files types. Quite a gud progarm which supports higligthing for many languages.

The PhP login is nothing but Gmail Lite an Open source project. You can get the source code at their site Gmail Lite. It is very easy to install just copy the files to your server and that is it...done

yes i also agree with Tyssen, one more thing there are generally two types of redirection, 1. temp. 2. perm.My understanding is that, yes, it will hurt you on Google because it (and other search engines) don't like frames. This page explains Google's attitude towards frames.
if a page is temp. redirected there is every possibility that ur page does not get indexed with high priority, which will let you down in page rank. At the same time if it is perm redirection, its the perfect redirection.
This holds gud for any redirected page. In some case if you have no other option other than rediectection go for perm. redirection, which can be achieved by adding some lines in the .htaccess file. hope this one help all those who really want redirect

Drupal is not that bad, But i would rate 5/10 . the usability is gud. but the problem is the number of themes or related downloads is less. In this case PHP nuke is the ultimate. You have very gud support from various fan sites. Stability wise there is no problems with drupal. Securitywise i guess PHPnuke/post nuke is better than drupal. i have used mambo, postnuke, drupal as well as ph nuke. for CMS i would rate1 ...php nuke2 ...postnuke3 ...mambo4 ...drupalHope that rating helps you in finalising ur CMS
