  1. Quite a nice site But u should try google adsense. Google's AdSense program allows third-party sites (like mine) to run Google's famously successful text ads, which also get tailored to each of site's pages' content. Already, there have been a few examples of the money this could bring to small sites. more on http://www.masternewmedia.org/2003/11/07/the_future_of_web_conferencing.htm
  2. Clicksor is a new program from Yesup, the company behind PayPopUp. The program is based on CPC text advertisements superficially similar to Google AdSense, but... well, worse. The basic premise is that you sign up, add your site(s) - you can have more than one, and tracking is separate - define your keywords and then place your ad codes. The step about defining keywords is why this program is significantly worse than Google AdSense. Where AdSense dynamically determines the appropriate keywords based on the contents of your pages (resulting in automatic per-page targeting), Clicksor's scheme has you put in every possible relevant keyword you can think of and hope for the best. (They emailed us a couple of times suggesting that we don't have enough keywords defined - they recommend at least 100 per site.)Because the keywords are pre-defined and site-wide, not page-specific, and because Clicksor has nowhere near as many advertisers as Google, the ads you will be seeing will not generally be very well targeted (unless you have a site about Hosting, Viagra or Gambling). Lack of advertisers also means that bid prices are generally kept fairly low - we are seeing a measely 3 cents per click on average, though this may vary with keywords.Clicksor's code can be placed in two formats - traditional banners, or inline links. The banners come in pretty much all formats that Google AdSense offers, making this program a decent candidate for AdSense defaults (though we suggest using a CPM program for the more common formats). Each banner will show one or a few text ads depending on the size of the format.Inline linking however deserves special mention, as it is a fairly new format of advertising. Basically this is designed for content-heavy sites, and works by dynamically singling out words within your site's text and turning them into little ad links. When the visitor hovers over this link, a little DIV layer pops up with the ad tied to that keyword. The visitor can then go to the advertiser's site. With this linking method you define which parts of your page you wish to be dynamically searched for keywords, so that no ads will appear in your navigation links or your copyright line. The upside to this method is that it is fairly new, so you may get a better click ratio than with standard banners, and that it takes no extra space on your pages. On the other hand, the ads are only loaded when the user hovers on the link, so there is a noticable "lag" before the ad actually pops up. This also only works on IE, so depending on your audience 5 to 15 percent of your visitors will not see these ads. Finally, these ads may be considered plain old annoying by your visitors, so we suggest using them on only a small part of your content, or else being extra picky with your keywords. The statistics screens offer you semi-real-time view of your impressions, clicks and income, broken down per site, and by day. Note that for inline links, an "impression" seems to occur when the user hovers on the link, so don't be surprised to see a really low impression count paired with a really high click-through ratio if you use this format.Clicksor pays on the 25th of the next month, and given Yesup's exellent payment track record, we have no doubt they will make their payments in a timely manner. (We already got one check from them - on time.)This network is not notable for much other than the innovative inline linking format, but can also be used as a default for a better program such as AdSense. The Good: Inline links are an interesting way to place ads without sacrificing screen space. The Bad: There is no AdSense-style targeting resulting in mostly irrelevant ads.
  3. Me and a friend wrote these tips on our site. This's juz part of it.The five keys to maximize revenue with AdSense are:# Earn more per click (while maintaining relevancy)# Have more pages that display AdWords# Get your visitors to view more pages that display AdWords# Improve your 'click through' rate# Get more qualified traffic to your siteAll else being equal, the more pages you have displaying AdWords, the more money you'll earn. If you already have a website, display AdWords on more pages. And create more great content pages. We recommend that you focus on creating pages (and sites) on topics you have a passion for. It's especially useful if these content pages are very clearly focused. Then, Google will be able to serve highly relevant AdWords to your visitors. This means your visitors will be more interested in the ads, which results in higher click through rates -- and more money for you! Recognize that different pages on your site can have different purposes. For example, some pages may be designed to sell specific products. Others may be designed to rank high in the search engines (but don't ever try to trick the search engines). Still others can be designed for Google AdSense. Once you know which pages you're creating for AdSense, select an appropriate keyword (or key phrase). Use the keyword as the file name and put dashes between the words. In the example above, you would use the file name 'water-gardening.html' for your water gardening page. Ideally, select keywords that are the highest paying keyword on the topic. By tweaking the file name, you may be able to improve your AdSense results dramatically. Thats all folks.
  4. Hi all, I want to help the people that have phpbb forums in making their forums receive ads that are more relevant. The reason for doing this is I had a lot of hard times trying to accomplish this and never found a complete tutorial that would show me easy steps. First, there is not way around it; you must do a little moding. I recommend these steps. 1- I found that the name of the folder where you install phpbb is very important. Lets say you have a forum about widget, name that folder where you install phpbb widget, for example http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is incredible how accurate the ads relevant to my site started to appear once I did this change on my board, before I use the folder /phpbb/ and I got a bunch of php host ect.. Type of ads. This work great for me, I guess if you have a board about different subjects this wouldn't be a good idea, but if your forums is about a spesific subject this the way to go. 2-Change the logo power by phpbb on the footer of your forums to a gif or jpg. Jut make a small image saying power by phpbb with your favorite image creator, upload it to your server then open the overall_footer.tpl look for the logo and remove it and use the image there instead. 3-Make your forum search engine friendly, the best mod I found was this one explain in the phpbb topic. https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=150631 4-Now this more of a tip than help to make your ads more relevant. Maybe might be different in some sites, but my revenue triple once I inserted the ads right after the first post of each topic. You heard right triple, so I now it works. https://www.phpbb.com/community/viewtopic.php?t=232463 This just a little contribution to this great site that has help me a lot, a way to say thank you.
  5. Different prob here. In January, I made almost $20,000 from AdSense. I was projecting revenue in excess of $30,000 per month by now. Then, I got hijacked and my revenue is now next to nothing. This was Google's loss as well as mine. Google could solve the problem in a flash but it's not interested. There must be thousands of other publishers with stories like mine. Why wouldn't someone at Google monitor publishers? If someone suddenly stopped sending $20,000 a month of business to me, I'd pick up the phone to see what happened. I think Google is missing out on vast amounts of money because it doesn't monitor or support its publishers. It's like working a big gold mine with nothing but a few guys with picks and shovels. I can't understand why they don't start squeezing some serious profit out of their current situation before someone else does. If I was a shareholder, I would be frustrated.I think other companies like MSN can and will eventually take advantage of this situation by offering a similar service in a more businesslike manner. Mark my words. : )
  6. sun, this is not a support forum.BTW, Check arrived today in Florida. Regular check, not express/secure. This is the latest in the month I've ever received a check in the more than a year I've been with adsense. Perhaps Google had some small problems getting all the secure/EFT/regulars set up right?Same check format as last month - big plain white envelope. The nondescript format is growing on me - I prefer the mailing to not yell CHECK! Anyway, i've got the money n thats all i wanted
