  1. Big Rigs over the Road. The game is so awful gamespot gave it a 1. It's so buggy and stupid! You drive a truck and when you turn it there's no feeling of the car moving, just the camera changes. You go through the buildings (yuck) instead of crashing into them and basically, the game is not challenging at all.Whoever buys it thinking is good will have every right to ask their money back.

  2. DISCLAIMER: THE FOLLOWING MODS DON'T BELONG TO ME.

Hello everyone, I'm here to enhance your Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (on the PC, of course) experience.

Want to play Grand Theft Auto IV now?

    Don't have a console?

Don't want to wait until November 18th?

Well, I'm here to save you, with an alternative.

    First off:

ENB Series. A really famous mod that adds fully configurable real time reflections, shadows, awesome water, bloom, bump maps, occlusion culling, motion blur and depth of field. All you need is a good PC (or loads of time, if you've got a sucky pc, due to low fps xD).

    Go here:

    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

And download the files labeled as: d3dx9_26.dll and GTA San Andreas beta v0.075c test 2.

After downloading them, copy the dll and extract the ZIP in your Grand Theft Auto San Andreas root directory (for many, C:/Program Files/Rockstar Games/GTA San Andreas).

Run GTA: San Andreas. A small logo thing will appear on the upper left corner. Load your game. When you're in-game, press Shift+F12. The game may lock up. After it's done, it'll probably be slow and laggy as hell. Close the game. Go back to the root folder of the game, find and open the file named enbseries.ini with notepad and paste in the following:

    [PROXY]EnableProxyLibrary=0InitProxyFunctions=1ProxyLibrary=[GLOBAL]UseEffect=0AlternativeDepth=1AllowAntialias=1BugFixMode=0SkipShaderOptimization=0QuadVertexBuffer=0EnableShaders_3_0=1AdditionalConfigFile=enbseries2.iniUseMRTRendering=0[EFFECT]EnableBloom=1EnableOcclusion=0EnableReflection=1EnableMotionBlur=0EnableWater=1EnableShadow=1DepthBias=50EnableDepthOfField=0[INPUT]KeyUseEffect=123KeyBloom=120KeyOcclusion=121KeyReflection=122KeyCombination=16KeyScreenshot=44KeyShadow=119KeyWater=118KeyShowFPS=106[REFLECTION]ReflectionPower=70ChromePower=15UseCurrentFrameReflection=0ReflectionQuality=5ReflectionSourceSpecular=50ReflectionSourceTFactor=50UseAdditiveReflection=1ReflectionDepthBias=0UseLowResReflection=0ReflectionSinglePass=1UseEnvBump=1EnvBumpAmount=40EnvBumpOffset=40ReflectionFlip=0[BLOOM]BloomPowerDay=20BloomFadeTime=1000BloomConstantDay=6BloomQuality=0BloomScreenLevelDay=60BloomCurveDay=8BloomPowerNight=25BloomConstantNight=5BloomCurveNight=8BloomScreenLevelNight=20BloomAdaptationScreenLevel=80BloomAdaptationMultiplier=20BloomAllowOversaturation=0BloomMaxLimit=100[SSAO]UseFilter=1OcclusionQuality=0FilterQuality=1DarkeningLevel=30BrighteningLevel=40IlluminationLevel=30AdditiveIlluminationLevel=20UseAmbientOcclusion=1UseIndirectLightning=0FadeDistance=40UseForAlphaTest=0UseForAlphaBlend=0UseIndirectLighting=1[COLORCORRECTION]DarkeningAmountDay=10ScreenLevelDay=60ScreenLevelNight=20DarkeningAmountNight=-10GammaCurveDay=6GammaCurveNight=3ColorSaturationDay=0ColorSaturationNight=0UsePaletteTexture=0[WATER]UseWaterDeep=0WaterDeepness=20WaterQuality=0[SHADOW]ShadowFadeStart=40ShadowFadeEnd=80ShadowAmountDay=60ShadowAmountNight=30ShadowScreenLevelDay=60ShadowScreenLevelNight=20ShadowQuality=2UseShadowFilter=0FilterQuality=1ShadowBlurRange=30[ENGINE]ForceAnisotropicFiltering=0MaxAnisotropy=8ForceDisplayRefreshRate=0DisplayRefreshRateHz=60[MOTIONBLUR]MotionBlurQuality=0MotionBlurVelocity=15MotionBlurRotation=15[PERPIXELLIGHTING]SpecularColorMin=0SpecularColorMax=100SpecularColorMultiplier=100SpecularGlossinessMin=0SpecularGlossinessMax=100SpecularGlossinessMultiplier=100[DEPTHOFFIELD]DOFQuality=5DOFNumberOfPasses=5DOFFocusRange=2000DOFBlurinessRange=5

(note: for the sake of saving FPS and awfulness, the above configuration has removed Occlusion Culling, Motion Blur, Depth of Field and has toned down the bloom.)

(note2: it's in code format to show that I'm not trying to get easy credits :))

Now, get in the game and press Shift+F12. Get out of your safehouse and look at the cars, the shadows, the bloom, the water. Fully awesome. If you still lag, you can configure the mod by changing the values in the enbseries.ini file.

Also, if you want ENB Series to be automatically loaded in the game so you don't have to press Shift+F12 all the time, go to the ini and change the sixth line's value to 1.

    So that would be:

    UseEffect=0
    to

    UseEffect=1

We're all set up with that, aren't we?

    Perfect.

    Second mod:

Sannybuilder 3. Sannybuilder 3 allows you to make Cleo scripts for San Andreas, Vice City or GTA3. They're simple scripts that allow you to do much stuff.

    Download here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Before it begins installing the program, it'll prompt you for your game directory (AFTER SELECTING THE INSTALLATION DIRECTORY, point it to your GTA:SA root folder. It'll also ask you to allow the installation of the Cleo3 capability. You must accept it, or else cleo scripts won't work.

After the installation, go to your San Andreas folder and you'll find a folder named "CLEO". That's where you will install your scripts.

2pacproducer2 made a series of GTA IV style cleo scripts here: http://www.gtagarage.com/mods/show.php?id=4248

Hit download and download any of the mods you want.

Right now there are 5 available mods.

Here is the list of the mods as written by 2pacproducer2:

    1. Burnout mod. After long burnout your car or bike wheels explode and will burn.

    2. Helmet mod. If you are driving bike , you can press Y button to put a helmet on, and if you want to take it off , just exit bike , and press N button.

    3. Surrender to cops mod. If you have wanted level then you can press Y button (on foot only) to surrender to cops.

    4. Car fire. If your car is burning then the flames comes out of your wheels too.

    5. Window crash. If you will hit the car or obstacle in high speed ( 80 km/h - 200 km/h) then you will crash out from window.

After downloading the script you want, extract its zip, take the .cs file in it and put it in your CLEO folder.

I'm keeping the best for the end...

    GTA IV HUD!

    :)

Alexander Blade has done a fantastic job creating this mod.

    Go here to download it:

    http://gtaforums.com/topic/368780-relsa-gta-iv-hud/

Incase you can't the download link:

    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

To install it, extract the rar (using 7-Zip or WinRAR) somewhere in your HD, and browse in the COPY folder.

In another window, browse into your Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas root and find the files "vorbisFile.dll" and "vorbishooked.dll" (without quotes) and rename them to "vorbisFileOrig.dll" and "vorbishookedOrig.dll" for each respectively (This is done because the GTA IV HUD mod replaces these files, so we keep a backup of them incase we want to revert to the old HUD). Copy all the files from the COPY folder to your Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas root and start up the game.

If done right, your Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas should look like this:

    Have fun!

  3. World of Warcraft is simplified for new MMO gamers like you. I play WoW when it first launch and quit 2 years later due to over addiction. Anyway, dont rush on the leveling, take your time cruising through the content.
Ask you friend on crafting / gathering profession advice. You need to rely on that for income. Have fun :D
    p/s : dont get over addicted :)

I already do tailoring and mining as a profession. As for the talents, my friend's going to show them to me sometime when he comes over my house.
    Thanks for the advice though.

    Oh and,

    I can't risk getting addicted :)

  4. Last week, a World of Warcraft playing friend of mine asked me if I wanted to start playing the game, thinking it would be fun. So I accepted. The next day he came over at my house with his World of Warcraft DVD and we installed it on my PC, so that we wouldn't have to download it, that would take loads of time. Then we downloaded the patches and I was all set..We were on a net cafe last saturday, and he sent me a guest pass and I started up the 10-day trial. The reason I had him send me the guest pass instead of taking the trial myself is because we'd be able to summon each other when we needed help. I created my account and started up World of Warcraft. I logged in and made my Undead Warlock character (for anyone wondering, my character's named "Sprunk" (without the quotes) and I'm playing in the Twilight's Hammer realm). So as soon as I started my friend started teaching me all the basics. I already knew some shortcuts (B, which shows the backpack and C which shows your character) because I had played World of Warcraft one time before but I didn't know anything so I failed at that time. He taught me loads of things and helps me when I'm stuck in some difficult quest.World of Warcraft is massive. It's a huge world, full of different creatures awaiting to be slayed (xD) and quests ready to be completed. As I have never played any MMORPG's before, the game's something new to me. The game is simply addicting and awesome. I could never understand why all these 9 million+ people liked it until I played the game. Now I know. Some days ago I bought the World of Warcraft battle chest, which contains the World of Warcraft game itself, The Burning Crusade expansion and a strategy guide for the 2 games. It also included the 10-day guest pass and a free month :)Right now, I'm level 12. And I've been playing only 2 hours a day for 6 days. 4 days left in the trial (the day I made this thread is the seventh)So, yeah.

  5. On the box, the games requires Windows Vista, doesn't it?Anywho, you might want to check out the following link.
It tells how you can get Halo 2 working with Windows XP.

    http://www.lanthrax.com/news_details.asp?NewsID=1017

As for the Accelerated 3D not working......I have no clue. ( It too is a requirement under Windows Vista. )

Did you even bother reading my post? The XP fix does not work.

  6. Added second set of pics. Now for the third set.

  8. I go to bed at 1 o'clock. Really tired.

Some time passes. I check my watch. Then I experienced a true "WHAT THE HELL!?" moment.

    IT WAS 3:44 AM.

How the hell it was possible for such time to pass so fast, I don't know. So I decided to go adventury. After my father got out of the computer room and go to sleep (4:30 am), I went to my balcony and I raised the tent. I took my office chair out and sat there looking at the sky.

I remembered of a friend of mine that stayed awake every Sunday and Thursday so I texted him with my mobile phone, and amazingly I got a response immediately. I was there talking to him through text messages, on my balcony, sitting on my trustworthy office chair. We finished talking at about 5:15 am and I decided to have some fun. I had transfered all of my cell's pics to my PC the previous day, so I could take loads and loads of pictures (I took 51), which I'm uploading right now to photobucket thanks to their awesome uploader. I grabbed my DS and had some fun playing Classic NES Super Mario Bros., and I completed it (without the warp zones :))

    Let the pictures commence.

5:24. Pic of my awesome wrist watch.

5:38, when I took this image the camera shutter noise was so loud (I didn't press my finger against the cell's speaker enough to cover the sound) I was afraid my parents would wake up (same balcony for both rooms)

I can't post the rest of the pics until someone posts here, because of the forum's limitation. As soon as someone posts, I'll post the next set of pictures.

Since each post can have 22 pictures, I'll post pics 23-44 and then after another post I'll post 45-51.

  9. So me and some friends were out in a bar. I come back home at 1am, really tired.I fall in bed at about 1:36 am. After some minutes I fall asleep. I dream (duuuh :)).I wake up. I can't move. I can't talk. Sleep Paralysis, great. Ironically, I was discussing that subject with my friends earlier and I told them that I never had Sleep Paralysis in my life but I knew about it. One of them told me stories his grandma told him about sleep paralysis being some shadow hugging you and that the images that pass through your eyes are some girl that died and comes to you to play (ye know).Sleep Paralysis is scary. For about an hour I was sitting there and couldn't move. Then the visionary stuff come. The whole thing lasted 3 hours. When I snapped out it was 6 am. I didn't want to sleep again, so, yeah.

  10. Sure, I use the computer a lot and everyone whines, but I can live without it. When we went on vacation, I used to bug my parents to go to internet cafes every day. Now, I don't care about internet cafes. I found out that there are better things in life than computers, such as going out with friends, meeting new people etc....One of the activities that I found enchanced with the lack of a computer... was the ability to sleep more... heheh... :)

  11. Everyone wanted a piece of the e-mail pie.Microsoft made a free e-mail service.Yahoo! made a free e-mail service.AOL did so too. Each with their goods and bads, their limitations and restrictions.Until the savior came.Google decided to do the smart move and make a revolutionary kind of e-mail. Starting off with their beta program that made use of invitations, many people (including me) found the truly amazing experience and the easy to use interface of GMail it's key points to lead the e-mail game.GMail kept spreading like mad. Then, account creation went live, no more invitations. This was it.It was when everyone weighed Hotmail, Yahoo Mail or any other generic free email service with GMail to find out that GMail simply is the best. With it's ridiculously huge and expanding space of 7GB, its great search engine, GMail is one of the best e-mail services available. Also, GMail offers a great variety of settings, you can have filters that do whatever you want, like delete emails from someone annoying or anything like that. It's fully compatible with programs like Outlook Express and Firebird, you can have it forward your emails to any address (for example, your mobile phone's address, if your carrier gives you your own email and/or you can't access gmail from your mobile phone). You can also have multiple conversations in one nice log instead of a folder full of e-mails. You can add stars to your conversations or/and emails to remember anything important. You can even add one star on one part of a huge conversation to make just that part appear when you open the conversation! In short, it kicks butt.

  12. I live in an apartment, the only stairs that I have to go through are the ones leading from the ground floor of the building to my floor (the building is 2 floors, I live in the first), since there's no elevator (like I said, 2 story building, like 4 apartments (where one is merged to ours, used to belong to my grandfather, so we pretty much own the first floor, so you can say 3 apartments), no need for an elevator). The stairs are really big so there's no real danger of falling down.A friend of mine lives in a 4 story building, and I always take the elevator. When our friend Josef also comes, we have the habit that instead of taking the elevator to our way down, we run down the stairs. It's really dangerous, but it's really fun. Josef one time pushed me just before stepping on the first step of the staircase connecting floors 3 and 2 and I almost fell down, but I grabbed some weird thing sticking out of the wall, and I didn't fall. So, yeah.

  13. Stress balls help people like me, sure, as said before, punching bags do relieve more stress. but I like to hit or squeeze or do any other violent action against small items that fit in my palm. Imagine playing a game on your DS or your PSP, and you get so frustrated you want to start slamming your handheld (or controller, in the case of playing a regular console, or even a computer game or anything pretty related to holding anything and getting stressed) and/or throw it right out of the window, now, what's better, squashing an indestructible (in a way of squashing and smashing, I mean) ball or squashing something that costs money? I haven't seen such stress balls that make pimply things grow out... I now stress balls that are nice and soft, and are really, really squishy! :)

  14. No, never. The last time I sent mail was, let me think... 2004, I presume. After we got our internet I stopped sending mail and letters in general because of E-Mail's ease. Of course, I could send mail to people I knew without the internet, but that's where mobile phones and SMS text messages come in. Especially when MMS (multimedia) messages were first released in Greece, everyone went crazy to buy phones that supported them just to send images, sounds, videos, rich text etc. to their friends and family. Times have changed, as technology progresses we forget our old habits and replace them with newer ones, that are easier to use. Many people still write mail, but computers still make the difference, since almost no one hand writes mail anymore, everyone uses to write the mail computer because it's the simpler solution. Sure, you can write more, but it's still no fun writing a mail on your computer, you would rather write an e-mail in that case, right? Damn, that was a load. I didn't know I could write so much on such a subject!
