ok! I read this thread a few times and tried to use the mysql remotely. I set the ip of the other server who wants to use the mysql in Cpanel, I also change db host in script to my domain. but what I got is still negative. it says "Error establishing a database connection " .can anyone help me to address that? I just want some sites share the same database. my site is a personal blog site. so I think it's secure enough not to abuse the trap 17 sever. if it's not appropriate to do that! then just forget about it.thanks

thanks for the caring.... well, I would say the disk is working, but not stable. I don't know the reason. I did run chkdsk, not one time, when I check both options, the process would stop unexpectedly. same problem happened when I use seatool to run test in pure dos mode... perhaps, I had to change another disk for data safety. anyway, thanks for help

I just bought that disk (seagate SATA 500G) half year ago and found it stop working randomly, resulting the whole system to be dead. BTW, I am using Win XP. I tried to use seatool, provied by seagate, to scan and repair the error, the program stop at the half of the process. I even can't format entirely, just do quick format. I don't know what I can do and have been pissed off for a few days.hope some people have this kind of experience and give me any idea. I don't want to loss my 500G data storeage.thanks in advance.

such a old thread! I prefer to choose Skype, thoug I used te be a fan of MSN.Since MSN has lots of annoying ads and it is becoming huge, I give it up. I change to choose skype.in some country, skype is also very anoying, popping many windows and advertisements. this situation only happen in some countries, perhaps some companies which cooperate SKYPE modifiy the software a little bitter. as far as I know, in North american, the skype is very clean. I like it. and when I need a new version, I go straight to skype.com, rather than any other different form urls. they are like traps.

NOD32 plus Outpost firewall pro are good enough for my home computer! they are fast, thouhg outpost is a little annoying to adjust. BTW, good habit of surfing internet is a important factor for the safety of any pc.

i am using KMPlayer! I like it very much. though the version is still 2.9.2.1100, it works perfect, at least for me. I tried some higher version of KMP, they are not working better for me ! so I would recommender KMPlayer, from Korea!!

power off your modem and wait for a few minutes, reboot the modem again, you maybe get a new IP address if thing goes fortunatelly!
