Bearshare.. just like kazaa but even better
gravi replied to ladyspanky's topic in Science and Technology
I personally hate Bearshare and Kazaar. I'll only use Limewire, seeing as it's fast and reliable, especially when you're using dial up. Kazaa just annoyed me. It ruined my old computer, so I guess I learnt the hard way. Bearshare wasn't all that good, either. I got TONS of spyware from that thing. Plus I couldn't find anything I wanted. I've been able to find everything I've ever wanted on Limewire and even on dial up, it doesn't take long for a song to finish downloading. Most P2P programs are bad news, which is disappointing, really. If you've never tried Limewire, I suggest you do. :D -
Yeah, there was a virus like that on MSN. However, the person that you were talking to usually has no control over the virus. It plants itself and reproduces itself automatically. A lot of people aren't aware that they have it, unfortunately. However, just to be safe, I never accept any files or links unless I know exactly what they are. I've had a couple of these viruses before, myself. Some of them can be extremely dangerous. One of the viruses on MSN was actually a worm.To be safe on chat clients, be sure to never accept files or click links unless you know what they are. Also, look out for file extentsions when someone sends you a file.If it has a strange file name and/or file type, don't accept it. Warn your friend about it if they don't know. The same goes for all websites and download clients. Unless you know what it is... DON'T CLICK IT!

Yeah, you need a PS1 memory card in order to save your PS1 games. It's the same with PS2 games. You need the PS2 memory card.If you're playing a PS1 game but have a PS2 memory card in the slot, the console won't pick it up because it's the wong format.I had that trouble when I was playing Final Fantasy VIII. I had to go and buy a memory card especially for it.

That was cute. I was playing it for at least 20 minutes before I could bring myself to closing it. It was simple, but fun at the same time. They should try and make some more of those.

Our school doesn't have an internet filter on the computers. It's pretty sad though. I remember I was working on an assignment in the library and a few of my classmates were using the computers on either side of me. All they were doing was looking up pornography, seeing as the school doesn't care about that kind of thing. It's stupid though, I mean, we can easily access porn, but as soon as it comes to a children's site, or a site that we need to do research on... We can access it.It's almost as if the school is forcing us to look at porn, seeing as we can hardly access anything else on the interenet there.

I love my PS2! However, I don't like watching DVDs on it. I tend to get a fair bit of trouble with DVDs and graphically intense games, such as Final Fantasy X.Graphically intense? Ha. Most PS2 games are nowadays.I loved my old Playstation... You know, the big, gray, ugly box? However, PS2 passes it by a mile. You're right about Nintendo milking Mario, CrashCore. It's kind of sad when you think about it, seeing as the Mario games were once simple, easy to understand and fun. Now they're just garbage in my opinion. Mario was never meant to be 3D and complicated.... I'm getting off topic. Sorry.
