5 Best IM apps I thought you might find that link interesting, lifehacker discuses and compared the 5 most popular programs for IM. Personally I think Adium is just about perfect 99% customizable, fast, compact, growl integration...but if your on a windows machine Digsby is what I would recommend all though I think it's still in beta...all though I find beta software usually the best of the software world. (e.i. webkit and firefox 3 beta 5)

The internet was first made for the purpose of creating a network in which if one computer went down that the rest would not be affected..but yes it is "possible" to take down the internet. How you ask? DDOS every server running a backbone internet line...this would require enormous amounts of computer power and many computer, about all the worlds computers...So the really logical answer to your question would be no, there is too many variables involved.
