  1. You succeeded in logging in then?

Obviously I cannot but I concede that when accessing the secure link I got an internal service error but the non-secure one was fine:

Just to prove I'm not lying

Anyway, if you did log in (I take it you did), submit a new support ticket here:

    https://support.xisto.com/index.php?_m=ts&_a=submit

Tick the box named CH Support and mention the error you got.

    Thank you

NO I still can't log in. On the non-secure link I get the same message--it says invalid license

on the secure link a 500 internal server error

  2. Cpanel is available on port 2082:
    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

And the secure version on port 2083:

    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

You can also access cpanel by using this url:

    http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

When I try the links you supplied, I get the following message:

    Invalid license
    Main IP Address: 208.87.243.98
    CPanel Version: 11.18.3-RELEASE_21703
    RVskin Version: 8.38

Note: Server administrator can run perl /root/rvadmin/convert_theme.pl to switch users to other skin such as X skin while waiting for the resolution.

Not sure why, but not being able to access the cp is a real headache.

  3. There are some server Issues being dealt with as we speak (type). Please see here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/57771-server-issues-web-site-down-cpanel-access-server-migration-issues-to-report/ for the particulars.

This link: is a good one to see when the Server is back in shape and on-line: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

the free accounts are on Gamma Server. When that goes all Green, try hooking into your Cpanel and it should all be good then.

Thanks for the reply. My site is not a free one. It is on zeta, which is listed as all ok. That is why I am confused. (also because I don't know what I am doing. )

  4. I checked your DNS.It shows 3 DNS, it should be only 2.
    the first one ns.computinghost.com
    and the second ns2.computinghost.com

    results from here

I got the domain through Xisto - Web Hosting.com. At the managment link:
    https://xisto.com/

    the nameservers only list 2,

    Name Servers
    Name Server1 ns2.computinghost.com
    Name Server2 ns.computinghost.com

Will the third, the old nameserver expire, or does it need to be removed somewhere?

Kevin, I really appreciate you helping me out.

  5. You need to change it on your domain registrar. For example, you have your domain registered at namecheap.com
Log in to your namecheap.com account, and change the DNS from there.

I found the link in an email from Xisto - Web Hosting, logged in to that, but the new nameservers were already in place. Any other ideas?

  6. Make sure that your DNS are:

    ns.computinghost.com

    ns2.computinghost.com

    AND NOT

    ns1.computinghost.com

    ns2.computinghost.com

Thanks for the reply. Remember you are talking to a total newbie here. I found the link for new IP's

    https://support.xisto.com/index.php?_m=ns&newsid=21

    Old: 64.69.36.223

    New: 208.87.243.98

    But if I type http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

    I get this message:

    Invalid license

    Main IP Address: 208.87.243.98

    CPanel Version: 11.18.3-RELEASE_21703

    RVskin Version: 8.38

Note: Server administrator can run perl /root/rvadmin/convert_theme.pl to switch users to other skin such as X skin while waiting for the resolution.

Where do I go to change the DNS, if I can't log in?

  7. Since the server change, my site, pandoratreasures.com doesn't load. My old IP address was 64.69.36.223

The email about the change said:

Where Do I Find The New Ip Addresses ?

    ===============================

The list of main shared ip are given here :-

Servername : Old IP : New IP

there was no link. Can someone point me to the right location?

    Thanks.

  8. I decided to go with paid hosting with Xisto - Web Hosting.com. When I chose my initial installation, in my ignorance, I didn't know you couldn't install both the Joomla installation and the Soholaunch website builder, so I checked both. They installed the Joomla and not the Soho. Since I have never looked at Joomla and know nothing about using it, I would like the other installation. I first tried live chat, but they said contact sales. So I sent an email and got a ticket number.BPM-881376When I try to check on the status I get this message:Fatal error: ERROR: You do not have access to this Ticket. in /home/xistosup/public_html/modules/tickets/client_tickets.php on line 168So now it has been over 2 days. No response to request, unable to use site, just sitting around frustrated, couldn't load Wordpress because of the root script already installed. Is there a way to change the root script through the control panel? How long should I have to wait to get any response to a ticket? Should I just transfer my domain and try a host that will at least answer an email?

  9. I've read through the credit FAQs and the pinned topic but didn't see this answered. Please excuse the Newby question, but I am a newby. I posted a tutorial yesterday but didn't see any change in my credits. Is there a way or place to see what credit you get for posts?

  10. cfryonline, you've gotten good advice. The one thing I would add is to find activity you enjoy and get a partner. If you dislike jogging, you won't keep it up. If you love to swim, then do it. The real key is to continue with your program and you have to have fun to keep doing it. Having a partner is a big help. You'll drag them out when they feel lazy. They push you when you feel like slacking. We all backslide if we try to do it alone. And it's more fun with some one to suffer with!

  11. I am glad it seems to be easing up some. To help it out gentle stretching is often a good place to start. As you improve, you can go with better core strengthening with Pilates, yoga or exercises. They may be the best thing to keep it from coming back. Of course without knowing exactly what the problem is, it is hard to say if it will come back. Statistically, about 80 of adults have back pain at some time, so odds are it may return.

  12. While they won't facilitate the downloading, I don't think they care. If you saved all the videos you liked, you could fill up your hard drive in no time. But why do that? How often do you go back to look at the same clip? I don't. It is easier and better to send a link to a clip than use bandwidth or drive space to save the clip.

  13. Should the occasion arise that you want to add a puzzle effect to a picture, there is a simple method built into Photoshop. Like a lot of other abilities, the hard part is finding it. Let me walk you through how I do it. There are a variety of other ways and I would love to hear your way also.

So I have this picture of my cat that I want to look like a puzzle:

    Posted Image

I tune it up how I like it and size it, etc.

    Posted Image

    Then click on Filter/Texture/Texturizer

    Posted Image

Once you click that a box appears:

    Posted Image

On the right hand panel you see Ok, Cancel. Texturizer then Brick or Sandstone or something. The Puzzle is not automatically loaded. You have to find it. So click the flyout menu to the right of the drop down menu. It will say load texture. You have to navigate to the right file. Usually it is Program File/Adobe/Photoshop/presets/Textures/Puzzle

Then you go back to the filter/texture/texturizer and select Puzzle from the drop down menu.

Play with the scaling, relief and light till you like the results. Here is now Meisha ended up:

Have fun and don't be afraid to tryout all the options. Enjoy

  14. I have switched to shooting entirely in camera raw. What is the advantage? You get all the digital information the sensor collects. Then when you process the photo you can adjust the settings like color cast, white balance, brightness and sharpness. You can't change the focus, so you still need to get that right. But you will get better range in the extremes of light areas and dark shadows. What is the disadvantage? The files are larger so you can really fill up your hard drive. You have to post process every photo. You have to have a camera that will shoot in raw. If you shoot sports or fast action subjects, your burst photo number will be less due to the size of the files. Most cameras that can shoot RAW also come with software to take advantage of the files. You don't have to run out and buy photoshop.Try it you'll love it.

  15. These are good suggestions. Another thought is to first realistically decide how you are going to use the camera and what are you willing to pay. If you aren't going to do much printing of pictures, the megapixels are much less important. If you want a camera to carry around, shoot friends and things, a small point and shoot works best. If you want to do nature photography you will probably need an SLR with a telephoto lens. I think in general all the major brands make good cameras. Stop by a store and handle a few to see what feels good to you.

  16. For me, relaxing comes from doing things I enjoy. So when stressed I pick up my fly rod and find an empty mountain stream. If I don't have that much time, I go for a walk or bike ride. Doing something seems to help more than meditating, sleeping or doing too much thinking.

  17. My favorite is a Gordon Setter. Ours is a great family dog. We've had a lot of dogs over the years. Most were strays that we adopted. Ranger is the smartest and best dog of the lot. He loves to play games, learn tricks, play with kids, chase golf balls and talk. He does a lot of talking. At 80 pounds he isn't a small package, but there is just that much more to love! He doesn't have a mean bone in his body. He is great with the cats.

Here's a picture from a couple years ago.

He's 12 now. Just had cataract surgery and ready to start all over again. His favorite thing are Barneys--stuffed animals of the purple dinosaur persuasion. He loves to carry one around. Every now and then he gets the idea he just has to go bury one. We always find them in the funniest places. If you want to see a video of him there is one on youtube.com.

  18. Thanks for the feed back. Good to know I'm not the only fool waving a stick. Karlos, I am sorry you had to give it up. Out here in the western US licenses are cheaper than gas to get there. DCSHAW, you need to go try it. I thought there was a lot of fly fishing in your neck of the woods. Salmon and stripers and inland trout. It doesn't have to be expensive ( though it is easy to make it so). If you have a friend or relative who is a fly guy, chances are he has two or three extra rods and boxes of flies for you to use. Might as well dip a line and see if you like it.The rivers are about to start rising here as the mountain snow starts to melt. This is a great time of year.I'll post some pictures after my next outing.
