Mine can be a strange suggestion. I have read that others have suggested Gimp or Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro. I don't know how Photoshop work but i'm sure that Gimp isn't very good for and old PC and PSP is very slow. So I suggest to try on your PC Dogwaffle, it's completely free and it has a lot of features as other more famous software. On my PC work fast, and my computer isn't a bomb (I have 1.2GHz and 384MB RAM). It's free and you'll not spend anything, so why doesn't try. You can find it at Dogwaffle 1.2 Free

I have many browser (Opera, IE6, Mozilla, Avant Browser, MozillaFirebird and Firefox) but I use always Opera. It's very fast and it has many features that other browsers don't have. Anyway I think that IE can have many add-ons and often I can't visualize correctly some sites with Opera. So if you have a fast connection IE will be the best choice, but for people that have connections as mine (an old and slow 56K) Opera is absolutely the best. Long life to Opera.

I have used Skype to phone PC-PC and it's absolutely the best that I have ever seen and tried. Anyway I found a best way to phone PC-home phone: Tiscali NetPhone. I don't know if it offers the same features in all countries and I don't know what countries it cover(I know that exist Tiscali UK). This service hasn't a very good trasmission quality, but it's completely free. I live in Italy and I use it often to phone without spend any eurocent. But you must have a yours connection, if you connect with any others you will pay about the same thing that you pay with Skype. It isn't cool?

Many of you have fast connection. I live in northern Italy in a little village and here ADSL or any other fast connection don't exist. So I must surf at 56k.

I use Paint Shop Pro 8 and I think that it's good, but it's expensive and it's quite slow on not young computers. Anyway it offers many features that satisfact my requirements. Speaking about free software, I think that the best is Dogwaffle. It's more faster than PSP, but it offer many less features. But for 0$ you can't have the moon.....
