Scientists have been experimenting with AI for quite some time in the field of robotics. One issue that people have been skptical over is how dangerous would AI become. Im sure many people have seen movies like I-Robot and Bicentennial man. The idea of a robot having its own mind, conscience, and free is appalling to most. The main problem is that if robots or "androids/cyborgs" can learn, they can eventually get smarter than humans and deem us as obsolete. They may also one day decide that they no longer want to listen to commands. Or they may stumble upon an engineering book and learn how to reprogram themselves. The possibilites are endless. So what is your opinion? Are you for or against AI?

So in everyones opinion, what is the most addicting game? For xbox 360 I say it would have to be halo or gears of war. For the wii, wii sports and wii play are pretty addicting. For ps3 I would say cod4 or resistance
-
Well you never know what can happen! I have heard that bungie is pulling out from the halo project. There is a big chance that microsoft will still want to keep the halo franchise running and they may actually profit from co signing with sony to create a multi platform halo. Way more people would buy it and they would just share the income like 60 40 or something.

What about Xbox 360??? Now that is a great console!!! But if I had to choose from sony or nintendo, I would definently choose sony. The reason being tha when it comes to game choices and these too systems, there is definently an age gap. Im 17 and I love violent, gorey, action, profane, crazy games. The wii doesnt give you many mature games. They have gay games like mario galaxy and viva pinata. I have all three systems so I never have a problem with choosing games but I have way more 360 and ps3 games than the wii. But they do have smash bros brawl, I'll give them that.

Look man, I hate to be a tool but the eagles are horrible. I have been an eagle fan for years annd years and they always let us down. I still root for my philly teams but I have gotten used to failure. I never really "expect" them to win the superbowl. Until they get a whole new roster with some new strategies, we dont have a chance.

This is wierd. Why is that when you point a mirror at a mirror, you see an infinite number of mirrors that stretch on to who knows where? It almost looks as if you could climb into the mirror like a tunnel. When I was younger, I used to believe that there was another world on the other side of a mirror. An alternate dimension where everything is the same but with a minor difference. Like when you look into a mirror, you are looking at the other you. The only difference is that if you had an earring in your left ear, he has onein his right. And all text is backwards in this world. So what are some scientific theories about mirrors in relation to alternate dimensions?

Theoretical Question - Memories Question 3
devin_love3 replied to galexcd's topic in Science and Technology
this sounds alot like the matrix or something. I have thought about this kind of thing, what if we are just hooked up to a machine that simulates life as we imagine it. It could be the year 8567 for all we know. We could be being tested on by some advanced race. Also, I sometimes remember things that have never happened. Then one day, it happens, like dejavu. It could either be that I lived a past life or that I have had a premontion or vision of the future. -
Im realli happy to hear that they are making more spiderman movies. The movies are always awesome and there is so much more to the spiderman legacy that hasnt been put to work yet. There are a number of villains that havent been introduced yet. There are alot of spiderman fans so Im sure the movie will do well wether its good or not. I wonder when it comes out though.

So does anyone know about how to open your inner gates or focus your chakra? What are some reliable sources for this kind of information?

I do believe in ghosts. I have had a horrible encounter with a superatural force. One time, I was laying the bed at my Grandmas old house. It was the middle of the night. The door to the room was closed. I looked over at the door and heard the knob turn. The door flew open and noone came in. I got up and looked down the hall and noone was there. Then I closed the door and locked it. Shortly after, the door unlocked itself, flew open, and a gust of cold air entered the room. I looked over the edge of the bed and seen noone. Then I noticed the imprint of feet in the deep carpet. It appeared as if an invisible person was walking toward me. Then the bed which was a spring matress sunk down on the edge as if someone was sitting there. I could feel the presence of someone breathing hard. Suddenly I felt a ton of pressure on my chest. Someone was sitting on me. Then I felt a squeeze on my neck and I couldnt breathe. This crushing experence lasted for about 35 seconds!!! I felt like I was going to die. I couldnt talk or cry for help. In my mind, I prayed to god to let me live. Then I felt power to turn over and I gasped for air. The door slammed. It was the most terrifying experience that I have ever had in my entire life. The thing is, I never went to sleep. People say that I was dreaming or hallucinating or it was the wind opening the dorr but I know what I felt.

I also practice ninjitsu. me and my cousin do many exercises and training. We also do freerunning/parkour and some gymnastics. check out this vid. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ In my opinion, a ninja is anyone who practices the art of ninjutsu. I have taken regular martial arts classes but actual ninjutsu dojos are hard to find. I have used what I already learned in combination with credited Ninjutsu books, and have created my own sneaking, sparring, and obstacle course exercises. A ninja must be swift, agile, untraceable, and able to adapt to harsh conditions and erratic situations. For example: a car pulls up and the lights will give away your postion, you have to clickly hide behind a tree. Now say you are in the open, you would quickly drop to the ground and lay flat to avoid detection. You also must now the physics of light and the eye. Peoples eyes arent perfect so if you know how to trick someone, they wont be able to see you. There are alot of tips and tricks I can give. If you want info, just email me at devin_love3@yahoo.com. Yea lol. Ninja training iz pretty extreme. And they do fight dirty. They finish off theyre opponents as quick as possible by either breaking a bone, pinching a nerve or pressure point, or throwing some sand in your eye and escaping. Ninjas are ruthless.

Deja Vu Do u think that dreams tries to alert u?
devin_love3 replied to jlrr94's topic in General Discussion
Well I personally have dejavu multiple times. Usually I dont realize until its too late to keep it from happening. One time I realized that I was having dejavu and I could literally say everything that was this man was going to do before e did it. It was so creepy. I think that dejavu is a premonition of the future and we dont remember it until it is happening. -
Theoretical Question - Teleportation? Question 1
devin_love3 replied to galexcd's topic in Science and Technology
I have heard that in the Bermuda Triangle, there is a strange cloud that may actually be a wormhole. There is a man who flew a plane through it. He claimed that it opened up, and he could see the other side. The inner tube of the cloud was spiraling around the plane. While inside, the exit of the cloud seemed to be a mile away, then he suddenly felt much lighter and felt a sense of acceleration, then the exit was only a few feet away. Maybe we could use the technology of the cloud to make some sort of device.
