OMG! I agree with you SOO much! I mean Jesus is the reason for the season and that "x-mas" thing is just plain stupid!

Sorry if this title scared you, I don't mean get rid of Christmas, but it seems like it would attract people. If you don't celebrate Christmas, please don't argue here about it.

 

Anyways, I wish the phrase x-mas could disappear! I want to get rid of it! I hope I don't offend anyone who says it(like SM ). The phrase seems so cruel. What you are doing is taking out the word Christ which Christmas is all about and replacing it with an X. What is that supposed to mean? We are to lazy to write out the real reason for Christmas? Instead we'd rather X it out? This seems to describe it all. Sorry if I seem like a hater here. Does anyone else feel this way?

Wow, in a way you're correct... But in a way, you're completely wrong. If you have been saved, it doesn't matter what you do, you will be guaranteed to go to heaven, however your relationship with God won't be as strong. But it won't matter either if you're not saved because you're going to Hell, all because you didn't put your faith and trust in Him.

Well I'm sorry to say that "You're going to be damned to Hell for eternity..." And the Bible also states that the Bible is written by God through man, and besides that religion isn't the biggest reason for wars, and deaths...

if that is the best real evidence that is available then i will have to remain to be a non believer in god and religion.

you take quotes from the bible to prove that it is a books full of facts on how the world works , unfortunately you do not give any credit to the authors of the bible ... i am sure that they were not dumb people , in fact they were probably extremely clever and had quite a few original ideas themselves how the world worked.

one thing is still unproven to me by your real evidence .... is the bible a literary work of fact or fiction , most likely in my mind is that it is a collection of stories that have been exaggerated over a period time.

the only one thing that religion has brought to this world is death caused by the numerous wars between deffierent religious factions.

and to tetraca, evolution isn't a fact, that's why we have to teach evolution as a THEORY!!!

Yes, I know you said that you didn't need anything from the Bible, but here is an excerpt from the Bible that explains it all:

For the wagese of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.-Romans 6:23 NIV

And to receive that gift, you must be saved.

Well the reason that most people believe in God is due to the fact of how could the very first atoms be created, much less the very first anything? Secondly, I was recently saved on November 25, and since then my life HAS changed, I have heard about people changing after receiving Christ and I have experienced it. And also we don't believe in God because we want to have faith we KNOW that he lives because he sent his son (Jesus, just in case you didn't know) to be born by a VIRGIN (Mary, also in case you didn't know...). And lastly, you shouldn't need proof to believe in God, faith is all you need, and I believe because how could this beautiful planet not be created by a perfect being? I mean seriously, you need Jesus.

Personally, I do not believe in God. I do not think there is someone watching over us that changes or even effects our lives in anyway.
What I am curious about is why people began to believe in God. I believe people now do it because they want to have faith in something and they want to know there is something more than this life. But how did this belief in God come about? There are many different beliefs n what God has done or what God is. Why did people believe their relgous leaders? Now we are a lot less religous than we first were, there is no longer peer presure. But many still believe without any proof.

I am not trying to say you are wrong by being religous. I am just curious. Why do you believe?

I dont understand how the conversations are security holes... I mean it's between you and the others that you're chatting with, not the whole world, well that's if you haven't spread your login information around anyway...
