Hi thanks for the reply.I used the email address as the username and the password as the password. The way it works is that the wp-mail.php will access the email account using the username and password and retrieve the message and then post it on the blog. But I don't quite get what you mean by piping the email with Cpanel. How do I do that? Thanks

Hi Happy New Year everybody. I'm trying to make use of this function in Wordpress - https://codex.wordpress.org/Blog_by_Email It requires me to set up an email account with POP3 access and then refresh this page http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ to display the email as a blogpost. I have done the above steps, except that when I access the wp-mail.php file to get my blog refreshed, I get the following error messsage: POP3 connect: Error [220-eta.xisto.com ESMTP Exim 4.68 #1 Tue, 01 Jan 2008 07:40:38 -0800 ] Is this a technical error with the server or is it my blog setup? FYI, the blog is installed on an addon domain, not my main domain that is hosted with CH, so the mail server is different from the domain the blog is located at. I don't know if this is also a cause of the error. Thanks for any help.

Questions About The Budget Freedom Plan
dodgerblue replied to dodgerblue's topic in Web Hosting Support
Ok thank you for the replies! I'll bug you if I have any more problems, velmaT.Y.V.M. (thank you very much) -
I have been looking around for a new host and since I used to be hosted for free on T17 I remembered you guys and have come back here!! (OT but is BuffaloHELP still around?)I have some questions about this plan.1. Who/where is the domain registrar that I will transfer to? How do I make the transfer? Should I transfer now or when my contract with my current registrar is expiring?2. Do you provide help with site migration? I have a lot of data but it's very disorganised. And some SQL data has gone missing recently (very weird and annoying, which is why I want to move ASAP).3. What is the charge if I should ever need >1.5GB of storage but not as much as 5GB?Thanks!!

I'm requesting that my application for hosting (which was made eons ago) be deleted, if that's possible? I realised that it has my email address on it, in full (silly of me), and the page shows up on Google when you search for my nickname... Which makes me quite nervous. I'm paranoid about these things. If it isn't possible, then could the domain name and email address be removed at least? Thanks.

Hey Just thought I would let everyone know - Google Sheets. It's still in beta. But it looks extremely promising. Oh, and could a mod create a subforum for this under Google Services? And one last thing - anyone has an account at Writely? The web word processor thing that Google recently acquired? If you do, I'd be eternally grateful if you could send me an invitation. PM me for my email address! Thanks and have fun with Google spreadsheets Notice from mayank: This topic is discussed already in HOT NEWS FIR section. Please make sure that you search the forum before making posts. Merged in the main topic

To Christians: Jesus' Death: The Ultimate Love? for Christians
dodgerblue replied to loyal's topic in General Discussion
He was asking for a reason, not begging to be saved. Even without going into theology or dogma, this can be already literally interpreted from the word "why". Figuratively, it can also be interpreted as a rhetorical question. Just as how sometimes we know our parents will not allow us to do something for whatever reasons (which sometimes we may not understand given youth and etc), we know that obedience is demanded of us, and that in failing to obey, there will be consequences. However, it does not necessarily mean that our obeying them is something that we wish to do. We may possibly just obey them because we love them, even if it's something awful, like ballet lessons or something. Just an example. I'm sure ballet's great and all ... but I digress ... The bible explicitly states that "almost all things are by the law purged with blood; and without shedding of blood is no remission" The word "remission" refers to absolving a person's sins. (go to google and search "define: remission") This is found in verse 22 of Hebrews chapter 9. This dates back to the laws as commanded by God in the very beginning, regarding the kinds of animal sacrifices to be made depending on what offence a person had done. see above. If you're asking for Christians' points of view, why would you look at the quran? Wouldn't you be looking at the bible instead?? Sorry, I don't see the link there... Similarly for this, think it kind of doesn't really answer the question since the Quran is the Muslim holy book... and not the Christian holy book... Let me put forth to you in a mathematical form: P1 - God is infinite and eternal, existing beyond the boundaries of Time and Space, as evidenced in the word "infinite" - without any "finite", or end (again, google "define: finite"). For what it's worth, I am sure that both Islam and Christianity agree on this point. P2 - Man is finite and mortal. In every way, and especially in the fact that even this definition has to be bounded by time - within this life/existence on earth. P3 - God has laws for Man that Man must adhere to. We shall for the moment pass by the definition of what those laws are, but for the purposes of this exercise we shall assume that the 10 commandments are the laws (there are more, but we'll just leave it at this for now). The full list is found in the book of Exodus. P4 - Just looking at the 10 commandments (the short summary is in Exodus 20, verses 1-17), I am equally sure that no one has ever not broken a single law (eg. if you say you have never lied, then, well...) P5 - Breaking of the law = judgement P6 - God's judgement for the breaking of his law is death. For any offence. One of the most well-known examples I believe is found in Genesis, where Adam and Eve were sentenced to die (not immediately, but over a passage of time - the process of ageing, and finally also ending in death of body and death of soul) and driven out of the Garden of Eden. (We'll skip the reason behind this penalty for now.) P7 - Animal sacrifices (ie, a death, the "shedding of blood") has to be made for every offence. I interrupt my postulating here to pose a few questions - Is there ever any way in which making animal sacrifices for offences can guarantee that a person's heart is as good and holy as he is outwardly religious? What if you were poor and couldn't afford to buy a goat to sacrifice? Would you be sentenced to hell? What if you could only afford to sacrifice a cat or a bird or some small animal? Only half your sins forgiven? What if someone who wasn't sorry at all sacrificed a huge cow just so he wouldn't be sent to hell - would you say that's justice? Is that what you'd call a loving God? Right, continuing on... P8 - There's the problem of time. Even if a person sacrificed for his sins today, he would sin again sometime in the future, which'll require another sacrifice. People are tied to the fact that they have to keep the law but can't, because there's no way anyone is ever gonna be able to keep the law perfectly, and sacrifices don't guarantee a person is really sorry for what he's done. P9 - In order to end this so-called "slavery" to the law, the only way is to get rid of this requirement altogether. Altogether = atonement for the sins of all Mankind, both dead and living, and yet to be born. This requires time-travel!!! P10 - Enter the only person who can transcend Time, and that is God himself. It then follows that God must be sacrificed to satisfy P9. It is important that you get the reasoning of this, it's a bit complicated I'll agree, all metaphysical logic is... because it's the whole argument that the Sacrifice=Love concept hinges upon. Assuming you follow me, I'll move on... We'll skip the God is Father, Son, Holy Spirit argument. Since this is a Christian concept, we'll just follow from those assumptions. Now it's also important that you understand that there's no mention of God not wanting to sacrifice Jesus or Jesus not wanting to die. "God sent his son." (John 3:16, that famous verse) Look at the word "sent". (Yeah you'll notice I like looking at words. Sometimes they tell you a lot more than reading between the lines... ) From here we can tell that it was a deliberate act. Now I think this is the part where you're confused. If God deliberately sent his own son to die, you're wondering how this could be an act of love, right? Let's go back to P9 and P10. Now here we see that only God is able to absolve all sins, and I mean all - yours, mine, his, hers, theirs, ours, yesterday, today, tomorrow, last week, next month, etc. In order to liberate Man from the law, Jesus would have to die. If Jesus didn't die, then Man would not be able to gain freedom. Now we come to the part about Jesus being God. Now, supposing Jesus was not God, but just a Man. Then his death would have been for nothing, it would have been ineffectual - maybe good for sins up till that moment when he died, and everything else afterwards (Christians now included) won't be able to have any forgiveness for sins. But supposing Jesus is God, then because only God is not constrained by Time, then Jesus' death would be able to absolve all sins - past, present and future ones. So the sacrifice = love concept really refers to God's love to Man, as manifested in the act of him sending his (only) son to be the time-transcending, 100% once and for all, sacrifice for every sin committed. I hope that was logical enough for you to follow. -
I'm actually in Asia. Heh. If I'm not mistaken, from the UK, it costs slightly in excess of 1 pound to post them via airmail, if there aren't too many of them. Or 2 pounds if there's more than 10 of them. Yep.It's definitely cheaper to ship to me from UK than from US. I actually would prefer it if you were shipping them to me from the UK.

Hey everyone.I'm collecting Polly Pocket dolls for a personal project. This is gonna be quite a big and long project, I plan to complete it by Christmas.I'm only looking for those dolls that are 1996 and older. They're the ones that don't come with clothes and accessories. So if any of you have old Polly Pocket sets and don't know what to do with them, I will buy your dolls. Just the dolls, I don't want the sets.I'm willing to pay you $1 per doll - if you have more and it's really a lot, I will pay more for your postage and all that, but I really don't require you to ship via Priority or anything. Normal letter post is fine with me. Just do secure the envelope, tape it and whatever, and make sure you mark it as "fragile" and MOST IMPORTANTLY don't forget "airmail" or it'll reach me 10 years later!!Please help me collect those dolls, thank you very much! :rolleyes:edit: Oops I forgot to state that it's US$1.

Can There Be More Than One Universe?
dodgerblue replied to amit nigam's topic in Science and Technology
Actually, if there were more than one, it wouldn't be called "universe" anymore because "uni" means only one.Edit: Well, or even if there were more than one, like what matto said, it's counted as one combined, united, etc etc you get the picture. If you wanted to consider more than one "set" of planets, stars, moon, etc, you would have to redefine terms, words, entire discourses... entire subjects... Kind of pointless imho -

You should watch Donnie Darko. It deals with the concept of a Parallel or Tangent Universe. -
