    Alright...Mr. Children's official site is at - http://www.mrchildren.jp/,

Utada's Island Records site for her US Release "Exodus" is at - http://www.universalmusic.com/browser/

Every Little Thing and globe have their official websites under the avex network:

    http://avex.jp/globe/ and ./index.php

Finally, the Ulfuls (who hail from Osaka) can be founs at http://www.ulfuls.com/ (but it's in Japanese)

As far as I know, all of these websites have song samples you can listen to.

Feel free to check them out and let me know what you think. :)

  2. Hey all! Just thought I'd ask around the community to see if anyone out there listens to Japanese pop music. If so, what bands/artists do you like?I personally like Mr. Children the best. I've been listening to their music ever since 1997 (when their Bolero CD came out). Great songwriting from start to finish in just about every song they've released. Other bands I like include The Ulfuls, Every Little Thing, globe and Hikaru Utada (aka "Utada" in the U.S.).Now let's hear from some of you about what J-pop/J-rock bands you like.

  3. I've lived in Shiga, Japan for more than 4 years so far and could confidently say that it's become my second home...which is funny considering I lived in medium to large-sized cities while I was in Canada.Believe me, after visiting the huge metropolises in Japan (like Tokyo, Yokohama and Osaka) it feels really nice to go back to where it's much quieter (and cleaner) in a smaller city of 60,000.

  4. Hey everyone!I just registered into the Xisto community! Great to meet you all!Although I currently live and work in Shiga, Japan, I'm originally from Canada. As much as I like surfing the net from time to time, I also like to read, write, listening to music, and go hiking (or cycling) whenever time allows.Anyway, if you have any questions or comments, feel free to post away!Cheers! :)
