  1. Well, We CAN live without mobile phones.Egiptians didn't use phones and they got toghether quite well, so did Romans. We aren't any different, we don't need phones to live.It just makes life "easier", but there's no more for it. Sometimes I feel that we are becoming too lazy because of all this gadgets, and I'm not against them, it's just that I know that we don't need any phone to live. We feel so because we like to feel comfortable, and technology haves that purpose "make human life more convenient, more confortable"... in the other hand they forgot to say "but more lazy too".

  2. Everyday, horrible things happen in the world. Consequences for the worst crimes imaginable are numerous, yet no matter what wrong doings have occurred, the death penalty should not be one of them. Before you can present any kind of counter argument to my philosophy you must first tell me that the killing of another human being can be humane. So let me ask you, do you believe that murder can be rationalized? Regardless of what someone has done they too are human, and if we kill them as a response to their actions, are we not criminals ourselves? As I speak to you today, people are sitting on death row waiting to receive the same fate they gave others; it seems barbaric that the only way to deal with these people is to do to them exactly what they did to others. If they deserve consequences because killing is wrong, then why it it okay to kill them?
Secondly, I would like to bring to your attention that live imprisonment as an alternative to capital punishment is economically beneficial. It costs less to imprison someone for life than it does to kill them. Due to appeals and things of that nature, the average bill of execution is two million dollars, while life imprisonment typically ends up at a mere twenty five thousand dollars per a year.
Next, the government should not have the right to take something away that they are incapable of giving back. There have been a hundred twenty two inmates that been exonerated after spending an average of nine years on death row. With that statistic, the probability that an innocent person has been executed in the United States is remarkable.
Finally, I will address deterrence. Does someone who knows the death penalty could be applied to them for their crimes decide not to commit them? No. Our state of California has had wavering laws on the death penalty for the last fifty years. During the years of capital punishment murder rates were twice as high. Not only does this disprove the deterrent argument, but it also suggests that killers are perhaps motivated by the consequence of death.
Through the aforementioned arguments I think it is prudent that you realize the injustice taking place in this country. Realize what is truly happening here, and think, do I really want to support the killing of others?

I can explain a better philosophy than this, and shorter: Care for yourself, that what you can change. And not the things that are out of your reach. Do what you can, expand your possibilities and change your sorroundings accordingly. By action. And don't let things that you can't change affect your judgement.

  3. Based on your tastes, those games may be the best. But tastes differ and so do oppinions. The best game of all time is not something rational, but "the best game for ME" is something acceptable xD.The best game for me is Final Fantasy Tactics. And I'm enjoying the PSP remake as hell. Even if I have played all the games you listed, all final fantasy's and many MANY other games. My best game is FFT because it is the one that delivered the best gaming experience to my and my tastes xD.

  4. There are many good games for PSP, but not as much as DS.Final Fantasy Tactics War of the Lions and Monster Hunter Freedom 2 are excellent examples of GREAT new games for PSP, and even if I have good games for DS, the good PSP ones makes you play them even more.I am an RPG player... so I don't know much about other genres, but also Metal Gear Solid Portable Ops is a great choice. It would be good if they made a Devil May Cry for the PSP... but, dunno xD.PSP is action and DS is fun. Both are good.

  5. hmm... the problem is, the social do-or-die laws of australian high schools say that if you show you so much as care about a person of the opposite gender, you will mercilessly be mown down by insults and teases.

Then do it so that only she will notice.
BTW, If Australian High Schools are like that. Do normal Australian High Schoolers Have Girlfriends? I don't get that

  6. The time will come =DBe patient and show her full support in everything she does. But if you think she's doing something that's not cool. Make her see it.And if she asks something like "why do you tell me that's not good?" or something. Tell her the truth: Because I care about you and if you do that, this will happen, or this will go wrong. etc etc etc etc. I don't anything wrong happening to you. Some things like that xDBut be very patient, don't rush anything. And don't act dramatic when some problems show up! Just care for her the way you care. The time will come and the opportunities will show :3

  7. I study marketing, and to tell you the truth, I fall for the charms of the apple products. But to be honest, the iPod Touch is total marketing. Of course it's cool, really. But the fact that you couldn't have third party apps made it lame (in my oppinion). And now with your announcement. I think of it better. But I tell you the truth. Nokia beats the iPhone. the Nokia Internet Tables allow Garnet OS (a new and cooler Palm OS) aps to be executed, and that well... Pwns the iPod Touch. The iPod touch has more charm and candy eye. But I care more for the functionality and the actual utility of the gadget. The Nokia Internet Tables are the best. They are not all well known, but if you read about them. Well, they are total win. (The new ones, mostly)

  8. so, my new questions:-how do i talk to her with our friends who will harrass us if i get near her and try to talk privately
-how can i reignite that flame heavensounds mentioned

thank you so much for your help!

Well, what you need to do, is to rebuild a cool friendship with her. And stop thinking in private relationships by now. Please be calm and patient. Show her that you are worthy of her, be there when she needs someone, be yourself (NEVER DO THINGS YOU DON'T USUALLY DO JUST TO IMPRESS HER), and trear her like a real friend.
Be honest with her, don't lie to her just to make her feel better or something. Honesty is IMPORTANT here, and will always be.
Then, by the time, if you are a real nice and sweet guy with her. She will surely look up to you when she has some problems.

When with your friends, talk with her with your friends! If you want to talk all the time privately with her, she will start to suspect something. The best thing that you can do, is to befriend her friends and to let her meet your friends. But never ACT, just do your best effort.

    Hope you get my point.

  9. Listen.
    There's nothing wrong with vegetarians.

There's nothing wrong with carnivores. No one group is more stupid, and no wrong group is more intelligent.

They're just two different groups, with different beliefs or ideals. Is that so bad?

Why can we all just get along regardless of belief, race, sex, morals, or ideas?

    I totally agree with that!
    I absolutelytotallyabsolutelyreallydoagree with that!
    Eating weed it's OK!
I'm with peace with Above the Rest and Liam_CF xD

(Most of the) people only go vegetarian, support GreanPeace, and try to be "green" for their own purposes.
When you are a really vegetarian, you DON'T NEED to attack others, or to be witting in the forums "hey, look me, I ONLY eat weed, nothing else, I HATE EATING COWS". If you are really worried about the global ecosystem, you should preach with the example, not impose your beliefs.

I eat meat, as lots of other people do, there are vegetarians too, and I don't criticize them for eating plants, I only let them be.

Hope this enters in your head.

Andrius couldn't have said it better.

  10. Last I checked, this forum is open to input from all members, even those who vehemently disagree with the unsound logic put forth here. The author may want to consider conducting a closed conversation via IM or email if he wishes to exclude those who hold diverse opinions or otherwise threaten an established worldview. Otherwise, free speech reigns.

Oh my! I highly suggest the author learn the difference between an attack on an individual verses an opinion of an idea. Do I disrespect ideologies based more on subjective guilt and lust for flesh than sound reason and scientific fact? You bet I do! But I do not participate in, nor approve of personal attacks (otherwise referred to as “flaming”) such as the ones exhibited in this author’s post. Furthermore, I will not dumb-down my language for fear of coming off sounding “superior” to those somehow threatened by intellect and proper use of the English language. How far, I wonder, must the common denominator be lowered before everyone is “comfortable.” If some had their way our conversations would be reduced to the occasional grunt or groan, as we make our way through the filth on all fours.

By the way, if vegetarians often come off sounding smarter than their beef-eating brethren, it’s because they are - some five IQ points to be exact. This is a generalization of course, but the facts are conclusive per a British study carried out over the course of 20 years. Here is evidence for those who remain skeptical: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

OK, eat all the weed you want. Debates are about exchanging ideas, not IMPOSING ideas. And this is a debate zone, my friend. You are trying to prove all who don't believe as you wrong, that level of fanatism is blinding dude.

You sorround yourself with facts and all that nice stuff. But you lack what's important: Moral

  11. The hardest game for me....They have to be all "Monster Hunter" Games...They're so REAL hard, and I've played a lot of games. If you are new to the series, even the first boss would kill you like 5 or 7 times before you understand it's behavior... And the game has so many bosses and missions....It's so fun because it's unique and a REAL challenge. There's a new one: Monster Hunter Freedom 2 for the PSP, if you want a true challenge (and if you love Action RPG'S) then buy this one ^^

  12. I've had a very similar situation before. And I understand how you feel, really. She doesn't wants to lose your friendship, she really doesn't wants. So please don't go bothering her and act normal. Some women are weak when it comes to hurting their friends because of their relationships with other people. Now that you told her everything, have in mind that your friendship with her will not be the same for a long time. But eventually it will come to normal, and maybe will become better! But please don't run away from her.And dude, understand that because of this situation, you won't be able of having her as a girlfriend for a very long time. Take the time to restore your friendship with her, canalize your love in a sane and healing manner and improve your friendship with her.Women like stable people, show her that you can.

  13. I have a question then...Why did the CRIA shut down DEMONOID?Now it bugs me more.....I do hope that Demonoid comes back. And if what you say is true, then the page should be coming back eventually.>_< I hate the CRIA with a passion xD They didn't have to shut down demonoid, Demonoid is LEGAL!!!What I don't like is that they used despicable threats for forcing Demonoid to stop.Go Canadians, Go!

  14. As usual, the infantile attacks against this progressive lifestyle fly in the face of all logic and reason. Having grown up strict vegetarian, I’ve heard every idiotic anti-veg argument you can think of, and over time, each and every one of them have been proven false by the scientific community. But it appears some folks are still motivated by the guilt-ridden rancor that often accompanies feeding on animal corpses in an age when such barbarism is completely unecessary. How else can one explain the moronic: “But plants have feelings too” rant still being hurled around as if it actually had any relevance to this debate. Flesh eaters: If you truly care as much about plants as you claim to, then you MUST go vegetarian as you consume (and thereby kill) infinitely more plants via eating a cow than going directly to the source. Or better yet – starve yourself and rid us of your juvenile excuses to continue killing animals to satisfy your selfish lust for flesh! Yes, you can debate all you want, but in the end it all comes down to your personal lust and inability to control it. And be careful: Pointing the finger at those who have a handle on their base appetites is a dead caveman giveaway.

All satire aside, I hope you see my point that nothing in life is black and white. Yes – we are all involved on some level with the taking of life to sustain our own, and I don’t know a vegetarian who’s hypocritical enough to argue otherwise. By the same token I doubt anyone would argue that our fellow mammals, unlike plants, have central nervous systems that respond to pain stimuli. But we, unlike other life forms, have the capacity to choose how much of an impact we leave in our wake, and ultimately how much pain inflicted. Does that make us superior to the other beasts? That’s debatable. Does it make us more accountable? Most definitely. So, as reasoning beings fully capable of moral judgement, do we contribute (indirectly or otherwise) to the senseless, cruel slaughter of sentient creatures who clearly feel pain, who cry out in mournful agony when the butcher’s knife spills their essence on the blood-soaked concrete, and who cling to the life force as we do? Or do we choose the path that humane men have consistently chosen through the ages? The choice is yours; choose it wisely.

REMEMBER TO HAVE RESPECT DUDE, R-E-S-P-E-C-T TO EACH OTHER'S OPPINIONS, YOUR ARGUMENTS AREN'T THE DEFINITIVE ARGUMENTS... LIAM_CF AND I WERE HAVING A NICE BUT SHORT DEBATE ABOUT VEGETARIANISM.

And we aren't the most accountable beings in the world, we are, definitely, the most hideous. If we didn't exist, the world, for the animals, would be definitely a better place. And to all nature. And we are the ones who slaughter. Not dogs or palm trees.

Please refrain from attacking other people as morons and idiotics just because they like yummy meat. And please don't consider yourself more HUMAN and just because you eat only weed.

Sorry mods for this mad reply but I hope you do understand, I want to defend my pride honorably.

I choose to eat meat because meat is neat, if you don't feel happy being a veg yourself. Please don't come insulting others just because they like to eat meat.

As I said before, I don't see anything to be PROUD about only eating weed, and going around saying that eating weed is the best and makes me superior to all hideous flesh eaters, please know your place >_<, and have respect, that's what I want to say. Respect.

I respect all vegs. I DO. Why can't you respect meat eaters? Because you consider yourself morally superior? And capable of insulting others tastes? That's what I don't like

People recluse themselves on a hard belief because their soul is weak, I don't care about what people do eat, but in what they believe. and that's all I have to say..... Man, I can't believe you

  15. I said about plant feelings in a very relative way, what I mean to say if that plants actually sense, and well, they also have feelings:

Plants can sense light (phototropism, photomorphogenesis, photoperiodism)

and gravity (gravitropism) and some can respond to touch (thigmotropism,

thigmonasty) (Salisbury and Ross, 1985). As far as botanists have

determined, plants do not have feelings, do not grow better when exposed to

certain types of music, and cannot communicate with humans as claimed in

the bestselling book "The Secret Life of Plants." Those claims have been

debunked by real botanists (Hershey, 1995). Botany is unfortunately

hampered by many misconceptions. However, the scientific aspects of plants

are extremely fascinating, probably even more so than the false claims

    (Attenborough, 1995).

    This too, http://www.upc-online.org/ethics_questions.html

You can search personally too. It's an interesting topic.

We animals and plants act driven out of our instincts, (we humans "think", and can do different) ant that is activated by "reflexes". When you sense something, you are supposed to respond in a fixed way. And plants and animals do so. The fact that animals do have a wider spread of feelings (fear, happiness, all that stuff) doesn't means that plant's don't, it's just that we don't understand them because we're not in the same group of living beings. Animals feel that way because some conditions are met, and plants also react some way because requierements are met.

Well, about the superior thing, I said that because humanity always have considered themselves the all superior, the omnipotent, and animals and plants and nature were only mere toys to play with and to do their masters bidding (as a way to say it, I'm not so serious about that). And if someone chooses to be vegetarian, it SHOULDN'T be because this following argument "I can prove by this that I have higher moral than the rest of you, meat eaters! bohahaha", now, people who use that argument are hideous. I know you aren't that way, but I've met someone like that before.

I usually care more for what I do and not about other people do...

(RANT AGAINST KFC HOAX WARNING) The KFC thing is a hoax because of normal logic. Animal Rights should have KILLED them already, those KFC guys. And well.... If the chickens are so BIG, then why the actual freakin' pieces of the chicken buckets are NORMAL SIZE!?!?!?! That's why I say it's a hoax... Common logic >_< (RANT AGAINST KFC HOAX WARNING)

Oh, that foie-gras issue is really sad, I AM against what they do to the poor ducks. Look http://features.peta.org/how-to-go-vegan/ That does make me angry! see the ******* video, you will be mad too. (EVERYONE, SEE THE VIDEO)

I believe in free will, but the power of instinct is really really powerful, If someday (I'm going to say impossible things) all plants dissapear from earth, and vegetarians are only between biiig and great frigs filled of meat, and lots of sauces and stuff.... I'm sure that all of them, soon or later, would eat some meat! Of course, some vegs to the bone will die, but, that shows you the power of will and instinct. Vegs who ate the meat chose to survive. that's it for my lousy example. (end of the impossible things)

And well, that's it for my reply xD

  16. please go with a psychologist and tell him what's happening, I bet that there can't be better help than the help a psychologist can give you... I'm talking seriously here dude. But anything you want to say, please say it to us, And I ask everyone who's reading this post to help anwii too, we're with you man!But you are telling us the consequences, not the causes of why you are feeling like this, if you don't mind, please tell us
