why is your website going to be more then 500 mb anyhow?

My problem is that i dont want just any host to lcose after the fist month. I know a how that is giving 2,000mb for 50posts and stay active, etc..But i only need like 50mb host for the forum. But i cant find any. And i dont want any type of advertisement of the site im getting it from. but thats hard to find.edited: but anyway i cant even log into the cpanel so...

ssr do you know how much the normal webpage(excluding the images) takes up?? generally from .008 to .02 mb....and images, unless you are using bmps(NEVER A GOOD IDEA!) they usually are a from .1 to .5 mb... what exactly do you plan to host? ISO's ?

You might need to get paid hosting for all that...I don't think any free host can cater to that much space and use.

It's always a good idea in theory.But people will always try to find an easy way out. No matter what system you have in place, people will act the way they always do. If they don't like to talk, they will post meaningless replies to get the number of posts they need. A system like this wouldn't be bad to try out but has to be developed, which takes time and effort. I think what FNH has already is a good start.

i mean people posting loads to get to the next rank, so they get hosting/upgrades. This isnt a problem for some sites, but when you get alot of members doing it, you can end up with huge numbers of pointless posts...im not talking about the hosting accounts, that would be fine, but the forums. For example, who wants a site with 200 posts saying "hi" just because someone wants hosting? so im just saying you might have trouble if this builds up...
