  1. I love Animal Crossing. It's so much fun. I love both of them. I actually got it as a gift and put off playing it but now I love it.
  2. It is so good. What do you think the next book will be called? Both titles have 6 letters. Both of them describe a rider. Both start with E. Maybe Empire. But I don't think so since the Empire doesn't need another Dragon. They have two. Maybe 6 letters, the E, or dragon rider is just a coincidence. Any title predictions from any of you.
  3. I don't think that Google should branch out into television. Or anything other then internet actually. When someone does one thing they relatively do it right but if they do a lot of things then they can degrade in quality.
  4. But that still doesn't seem that smart to me. Maybe this had an effect on their stock dropping. I think that this is going to be a big hit on their popularity. "The rich get richer." but "Those that are the highest have the biggest fall". They would probably go down eventually, but I was hoping Linux would be the next one. Oh well.
  5. So does anyone know anything about the next title being on a handheld. They said that the next one isn't going to be just Kingdom Hearts 3. Maybe it'll be like a spin off about the origins of the keyblade and stuff. If it is handheld I'm guessing it'll be on the PSP since most of SE's games are on a Sony system.
  6. I really like NFS. My favorite is Carbon and I'm looking forward to the new one. I also like Forza and Motorsport.
  7. Mario isn't an RPG, at least the classics aren't. I personally like the Kingdom Hearts and Final Fantasy series. Actually I think all of Square Enixes games are good.
  8. When I use my wireless keyboard I have never had any lag. And mine is a cheap version. ($20 for both) So if you're getting a better one there shouldn't be any lag. I don't use a Mac though so maybe that has an effect.
  9. Are those blogger templates? I can't find the blogger templates if they are there. Can you post a direct link to the actual templates?
  10. Put your theories, discuss, and review the game here. This is mainly since the old topics on KH are way back in the forum. KINGDOM HEARTS Publisher: Square Enix, Disney This game was really good. Who would have thought that Disney and Final Fantasy would be a perfect match? I didn?t. But it turned out to be one of the best games I?ve ever played. The gamplay was intense and always something new. The pace of the game was perfect. Most of it was really fun. Some of the parts weren?t as good but were still OK. Basically everything was fun. You?ll have no problems when you play this game. First Look The trailer was pretty good. Nothing really cool. I didn?t really think that it would be anything special and it didn?t put it on my To Play list. But when my friend got it and I played it at their house I got hooked. The overall presentation and advertising isn?t good at all but once you see the game and play it, you just love it. When you start playing it instantly gets into the cool storyline. The tutorial can get annoying after you play multiple times but it is really good for beginners. The actual beginning gameplay is fun as well. Basically they did a terrible job in advertising and the cover but the actual game presentation is awesome. RATING: 8/10 Graphics They aren?t the best but they are good enough. You can play it and the storyline makes perfect sense. It isn?t the best for the time but it is still cool. The cutscene graphics are a whole other story and are comparable to the nex-gens. It gives all the Disney movies a new appearance and makes them realer. The graphics were just what they should be like. RATING: 8/10 Story I loved the story. It was great. It was fast and great. The best thing about it was that there were several inside one. All the Disney movies stories were put into it perfectly. The rest of the story was also perfect. And the characters also had great personalities and made you love the game. Some of it could be better but nothing was bad enough to be mentioned. Most of the time I played this game for the story. RATING: 10/10 Gameplay It was perfect. The only thing they could have done to make it better was to make it longer. It seemed a bit short and I really wanted to know what happened. It was great. RATING: 9/10 Multi-Player X Not included X RATING: X/10 Mini-Games/Missions The main mini-game was the gummi-ship. That was fun at first but it gets reeeeeally boring after a while. There was also Winnie the Pooh mini-games but I think that they were there just so you would have something to do since there weren?t any heartless in there. The coliseum was fun and all the other worlds mini-games were fun too. The only mission was to finish the journal, and I did it wasn?t required so many didn?t but the ones that wanted to get as much out of the game as possible. The missions and mini-games are mostly just to kill a couple of minutes a day or when you get tired of playing the actual game. RATING: 9/10 Replay Value The replay value was good. Really good. I played it 5 times before I got bored of it. You?ll be getting a lot of hours out of the game so don?t worry about being bored for some time. RATING: 10/10 Other Strong/Weak Points There wasn?t anything special in this game. It just had the main aspects of an RPG and made them as close to perfect as possible. The only thing that was cool and new was the battle system. It involved using the X Button to activate commands that you could use by moving the action on the taskbar with the control pad. That was pretty cool. RATING: 10/10 First Look: 8/10 Graphics 8/10 Story: 10/10 Gameplay: 9/10 Multi-player: X/10 Mini-Games/Missions: 9/10 Replay Value: 10/10 Other Strong/Weak Points: 10/10 Average: 9/10 Final Score: 9/10 Who Should Buy This This game was really hard to write a review about. Why? Because it was perfect. Nothing bad to write about it makes it really hard to write an extensive review. To sum up the whole review, this game was really good so you should get it and play it. Discuss and theorize.
  11. You can post a blogger template site or/and your favorite template. My favorite site is here. My favorite template is Playstation which is in the game section. Heres what it looks like.
  12. I don't have any money. And my parents don't let me get anything if I don't do something to get it (good grades, award, or something). So I usually just get my books from the library. And the hold system is for the whole region. And there are several copies of the book. And they usually drop pretty fast. Now it says only 48 more people.
  13. This is the first day I have been on Trap 17. And I noticed that a lot of my favorite game series aren't here. So I'm making a topic for one the games. This topic starts with a review but you can discuss the game here as well. OK. Now for the review. SONIC THE HEDGEHOG Publisher:SEGA As a hardcore fan of Sonic I naturally enjoyed the sonic title. But I have to admit it had some flaws. One being the glitches. I have noticed that in the first set of PS3 titles pretty much every game had some glitches. But I think that the glitches in this game had the largest effect. But once you know it's coming it becomes an added obstacle. There were also some things that I really enjoyed, one being the super speed areas. They were a large challenge and were really fast. I really like games with extreme speed. And near the end it was so fast it was pretty much impossible to keep up with. I loved and hated this at the same time. The graphics were good and the game play overall was good. A thing thats bothering me with new sonic games is that the story. The story is too much of a factor. It was better when it was mainly about Sonic just trying to stop Eggman and going through a vast adventure to do this. And there have been too many new characters. They should stick to the characters they have up to now and should work with them. First Look When you first see the game it looks good. The trailers (like most) make the game look really good. The cover is also cool. The back for me caused a minor setback since the slogans and description werent good and the pictures of game play werent the best. When I read the manual it was also made it look good and you begin thinking that the story looks interesting and youll like an intense story. When you start playing the cutscene looks so realistic. You get hit by how cool Sonic looks with the cool new graphics. After that happens and the first cutscene is over you see that the graphics wont be as good as you thought. Sonic still looks good but other human characters have degradation (specifically Elise) in quality. Sonic and his pals are still really good quality and so are the robots and enemies you fight. When you actually play the first mission looks very simple but it seems like the controls are nice. The store also looks pretty good. When you play the first level you like the controls and will pass over the glitches not getting too frustrated. The amigo thing will also be something youll probably like. The mach speed area will get you frustrated, but in a good way. I loved it when I first got it. RATING: 8/10 Graphics When you first see it they are really good, and in a lot of the cutscenes they are, but in some they are very degraded, especially humans. I am not surprised about this and this has been the case in most games. But I was still hoping. Sonic and his nonhuman friends look great in most cutscenes and in gameplay. The vehicles and enemies are also top notch. Elise was a major eyesore in a lot of the cutscenes and the graphics of her were terrible. The stage graphics and the world was nice. The graphics overall were truly nex-gen. Some minor setbacks aside, I think that the graphics were a major positive point. RATING: 9/10 Story The story was pretty good, and if it was a different game it would be perfect. But it was Sonic. A really dark and shadowy story doesnt fit with Sonic. I dont think that Shadow the Hedgehog had this dark of a story. Make it less intense. If you make it less intense then the story can guide you to lots of levels that dont really make sense but are still fun. The story was too real and Sonic isnt supposed to be. Another setback was that the story was almost a copy off of the original Sonic Adventure. But it was a lot darker. And there were a few extra things like Elise that ruined it. The story didnt work for me at all. RATING: 6/10 Gameplay For the main part it was fun. You Passover the glitches at first but when they start happening more in harder situations you begin getting really frustrated. And there are a lot of them. A good thing about that is that once you know they are there you can easily pass over them. Another thing that wasnt nice was the store feature. You get all the power-ups from the store and there isnt any challenge in getting them. Just play missions until you have enough rings. But using the power-ups was fun. And the mach speed areas were very enjoyable in the beginning but get impossible in the end. What sucked about them was that when they began getting long there wasnt any midpoints. I would have loved if they were longer, but also had points to where you returned if you lost. Playing with vehicles and shadow was fun as well but I think that they were slow and werent really special power-ups, they were more like requirements. And now that Ive played with just vehicles, I say bring the guns back. They made the game more fun. The chaos form was really cool as well, but lasted for only a short time and the bar took too long to load. Silver was a nightmare. The score is low mainly because of him. Hes slow. Flying with him is really impossible because of the camera. His fighting sucks and having enemies to where you fly too isnt a good idea because you cant fight them and can be killed before your bar loads. The large open areas of Soleana City are fun to run around in the Sonic and Shadow, but with Silver they are a daunting task. The amigos on the most part were fun to play with. Their levels were short so you didnt really worry a lot about speed or power and could speedily get through them. Overall it was half good, half bad. RATING: 6/10 Multi-Player Multiplayer was fun. With Sonic it always has been. But this had major setbacks. The characters varied too much and what was easy with one character was pretty much impossible with another. Silver could fly over some parts and that would be really easy, but his combat was terrible. And you cant play with Amigos. There were a lot of characters to play with in the previous games, but in this there were only 3. A larger variety would greatly be appreciated. It was passable. RATING: 7/10 Mini-Games/Missions I was really hoping for the return of the chao gardens. And maybe online play with them. Nothing of the sort happened. And the search for the silver medals wasnt as good as any emblem search in the previous games since there was no point. The actual missions were fun but overall they werent hard to do or find. There was no riddle like element in them. You were basically doing jobs for cash. This was good, but not really good enough. RATING: 8/10 Replay Value The major problem with this was that you cant play it again. You need another PS3 account to play it again. I decided to do it once. But in the end I had to switch between accounts too much so I deleted it. But I did replay the missions and stages, which were where the game actually got fun. You know exactly what you have to do and try to do it as fast as possible. You can see who can do it faster. Who can get more rings? Its more of a compete to see whos he best for me then just kill some time after you beat the game. I liked replaying it a lot, but only if others played it as well. When they stopped there wasnt really anyone to beat or any point to replaying it so I stopped. RATING: 7/10 Other Strong/Weak Points By downloading the harder version of the levels off of the internet you can play a more challenging version of the game. But a lot of the problems were still in it. Another thing that was highly expected was that youd be able to turn to super Sonic at any time you got 7 chaos emeralds and 50 rings. Nothing of the sort happened. We, the whole Sonic game community, expected a lot from this game we got almost nothing. RATING: 4/10 First Look: 8/10 Story: 9/10 Gameplay: 6/10 Multi-player: 6/10 Mini-Games/Missions: 8/10 Replay Value: 7/10 Other Strong/Weak Points: 4/10 Average: 7/10 Final Score: 7.5/10 Who Should Buy This Anyone that really likes Sonic should get this game. For anyone I think that it was just above the passing mark. If you really like Sonic and speed you should get this game. You probably wont finish the game completely (All missions, medals, etc.) unless youre a Sonic Fanboy, but you should be able to get about 20-30 hours out of the game if youre a Sonic fan. If you plan to get introduced to Sonic with this game then dont buy it. Youll end up hating Sonic because of one of his worst games. If youre deciding between this and another new game of a series you like, then youll probably end up better off with the other game. I think that this game was a good starting point for the entrance of Sonic into Nex-Gen. When you try to do something with a new tool and use it to the best it can be used for, youll probably mess up at least the first time. SEGA should continue the game and not completely start over. This is a good base. I think it would have been a great game if they had experience with New-Gen consoles and had a little more preparation and planning to it. A few extra beta-testers would also have helped the game a lot. They should work on the next game for at least 1½ years before they release it to beta-testers and should let at least 100 people test it. They should read reviews and make the next game according to the things that pop up in them a lot. Then they should have a successful Sonic game that is truly nex-gen in every aspect. Sorry if I'm breaking the rules but I couldn't find a place on this site where it told you the format for a review. Anyway, discuss.
  14. I really want to read this. It looks so cool. I have it on hold at the library. But I"m 63rd in line. Please put spoilers in spoilers tags or mention in the title or first post that there are going to be spoilers in this thread. BTW, was this a trilogy since the title seems like the series is ending here.
  15. This is one of my favorite games. When I stopped using my computer for gaming I kept this game and still play it, sometimes. Will the make another one, or will they continue to make WoW. I think that warcraft is better then WoW, so I really hope they do.
  16. I recommend that you buy it. At first its really fun. You can do a lot of stuff. For me it took me about a month before I got tired of it. But you should still get it. You can chat and visit your friend and visit their room and invite them to your room and it's still good for long trips in the car where you go through all your other games since it gets fun again after a while.
  17. For some people the Wii's is like a piece of heaven. For some people it's something that sucks worse then the games that had glitches and stuff for the PS3. Notice I said "I don't like the Wii." not "The Wii is a bad console.". I know some people that like the wii, others that like the PS3. The companies aren't stupid, they just target different audiences. Wii for family game players, PS3 for people that use their system for a lot of stuff other then gaming, and Xbox360 for the people that want really good online play games and the games that Xbox offers. And graphics do matter. Would you like a movie with terrible effects and costumes and stuff? If you have good enough graphics button mashing becomes fun. Heard of Genji. It has terrible controls, the bosses and fighting and stuff sucks. But it still gets an average rating. Because it looks really cool.
  18. There's going to be a PSP game called God Of War: Chains Of Olympus. Its supposed to use the PSP graphics to to the full capabilities and it's supposed to have connectivity with the next game on the PS3 I think. It looks really good.
  19. It plays with the GC controller because they said that using the wii controller distracts you from the actual play it was intended for. This currently seems the only game that looks actually fun that's on the wii. And just wondering but will it have Sonic in it. I bet my friend that it won't.
  20. The Xbox360 is only 200 dollars more then the PS3. And if you use xbox live you're in trouble since it costs a lot more money eventually. The Wii is something new and is good and cheap, but after a couple hours of playing it it gets really boring and you want to play "classic" video games (Ones where you press buttons). I say get a PS3. Its cheaper in the long run and it also has motion detection which is going to be implemented in a lot of new games so basically you're getting a combined version of the systems, cheaper.
  21. I don't like the wii. Why not just go outside and actually play baseball or something? Wii sports and Wii Play are terrible. The other games aren't that great either. They are too easy. If you just want to move your controller around and go through games really fast and you like party games more then actual gameplay then get it.
  22. I didn't like it. To me MMORPGs shouldn't be 2-d. When the graphics aren't good it doesn't seem that appealing to me. I also think that it needs a better story. The controls aren't that good either. If you're the type that loves cartoon type games then this game will be really good for you otherwise you'll end up bore d in about the time it takes to download it.
  23. I like the PS3. It's a lot of fun and the best thing about it is that its being rapidly updated and is getting better. If you are patient you'll eventually get the best system out their. If your not you'll probably get bored and trade it in or something. So if you get it be patient or you'll regret in a couple of weeks. Really good games take a while to make, especially with the full PS3 capabilities so you have nothing to worry about when it comes to gaming. Except that the other gaming companies get frustrated with the PS3 and not being able to use it properly and decide to stop making games for it. Its happened once.
  24. PCSX2 is in my opinion the very best PS2 emulator out there. My cousins friend is one of the people that worked on it so I hear about it from him. It was very complicated when I used it last but maybe it progressed from then. If it hasn't plan to spend about half an hour to an hour setting it up. It can play a lot of games but sometimes they don't work because of your computer (You need a lot of ram, a good graphics card, etc.) and sometimes they have some problems but it is the best one I know of.
  25. I say that the PS3 is better. Basically for everything said before (blue-ray, games, etc.). But the PS3 graphics capabilities are just as good as the Xbox's if not better. It has also been announced that no company is using the full capabilities of the PS3. The problem with the PS3 is that the games are more complicated to make so most companies only use about half the power (also was announced), including a lot of SONY games. The games that were announces last year but are going to come out in a year. I expect those will be the major games for the PS3. The PS3 was I think released early as well. Why? Because they update it every 2 weeks or so and it is getting better. The PS2 and PS3 are kind of like opposites. The PS2 was really simple and came with a lot of simple yet good games. They weren't very advanced (Halo) like the Xbox's but the Xbox didn't have many of them. Now the PS3 is the most complicated and is going very slow. But if you are patient and value quality over quantity then the PS3 is way better. It would also help if you were really rich.
