  1. Todays System: 360Todays Creator: UbisoftTodays Game: Rainbow Six: VegasReview:Straight off the bat let me tell you, this game is brilliant. It looks real. Not realistic. REAL. And the gameplay is real. Really, out of videogame limits, I have seen few flaws. Apart from slight bad AI for your teammates, and being unable to move past them on a narrow way could get you easily killed, and like all other RS games, you never stay hurt. D: Other than that, the game is perfect.Plot: I have not really understood the plot, as it is watered down and like all RS or GR games, they are boring. I mean, cmon, its Tom Clancy. Stephen Hawking is more interesting than him. Anyway, it has something to do with terrorists planning to blow the living hell out of a casino, and thats about as far as I have gotten. The game is large, and every level is gigantic. Enough for me to do the review based off of only 3 levels into Vegas, because you play the first 2 in Mexico, but you soon leave.Overall: 100/100. This game is perfect. Absolute perfect. Quite, old bean
  2. Today's System:360Today's Creator:3D Realms/2kTodays Game: PreyGameplay: Ok people, im hear to break down Prey, a 360 game that uses the Doom 3 Engine, the only other game out there that uses it. The gameplay doesn't stand out in ways of attacking and controls. Its just like Doom 3, lemme put it that way. The graphics of the game change from total space-ship Doom to nice, home area Doom. The physics in the game are the same as Doom, clearly, and your expecting me to say it is Doom 3 with a new plot and character. Wrong. The game goes even deeper with physics, modding the engine like Unreal Tournament 2003 did to the Quake engine, enough to make its own engine. During your time in the Sphere, whitch is all through the game, you find these odd walkways that climb up walls Metroid style. You walk on them and your vision changes to where it is level looking with you, but your actually walking across the wall and then onto the celing. And there are portals. Although it is not like, open a portal anywhere like the upcoming Valve game, Portal, they still make a huge difference in the game. After a while, the game gets to where you can take a whole new direction in the game, although the plot is the same. The weapons are not very great, and do not tell you the exact ammo, just a bar, unusual for a FPS. There is a new melee weapon, very intersting. A wrench, and at first glance, it is very boring and dull and weak as hell. But after hitting a living thing about 5 times, the wrench gets covered in realistic blood, whitch was very cool.Plot:(I'm not going to spoiler this with Biohazards idea, to spoil all of them for easier reading.)You start the game in a bathroom next to a phone sex poster. Seriously. You play as a Native American named Tommy on an indian reservation with his girlfriend and grandfather. He is ready to leave the place, not caring about his indian heritage. Although his girlfriend is not willing to leave, and it also dissapoints his grandfather, until they realize they are being captured by aliens. Tommy, Jen and his Grandfather are captured and split up after a strange indian man saves Tommy. He flees, and leaves him alone. Tommy traverses this horrible sight, seeing people crushed by these massive machines used for experiments. He runs, trying to save Jen, realizing there are thousands of aliens, armed to the teeth against him. He stops to see his Grandfather crushed by one of the machines, and his girlfriend is next. He runs through the ship, trying to save her, until he dies from a falling bridge, and his grandfather teaches him how to leave his body itno a spirit form. The spirit form is there to help get past seemingly invisible walkways, armed with a very strong bow and arrow. He revives him, telling him when he dies, he can revive after shooting spirit birds, returning his health and spirit energy. He continues to go along, realizing they are holding Jen, knowing he is after her. He is greeted by a voice that calls herself "The Keeper" that bothers him as he goes along. He finds the indian who saved him, who is apart of a group of survivors on "The Sphere" ship. They tell him if they can destroy part of The Sphere, they can kill The Keeper, the leader of the ship. So he sets out to a new part of the Sphere, and soon finds Jen. He saves her, only to go through a portal back to the indians, realizing they have been attacked and they end up dead. He leaves Jen to save the leader of them, and ends up facing The Keeper, although The Keeper killed Jen infront of his eyes, and he engages in battle, eventually dieing at the end and staying with his grandfather and Jen in the canyon of the dead. Happy ending, Eh?Overall: 85/100 The game had a good plot, although the game is kinda short. And it uses the Doom engine instead of a new engine, so that made me think I was playing Doom 3 the whole time. But if you have a 360, get this game if you have the chance, used it should be $20-30.
  3. Todays System:Gamecube Todays Creator: I want to say Square-Enix.Todays Game: Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicals Gameplay: Well, lets start off by saying: I hate this game. It was inbred from Final Fantasy 9 and 10. Yaaay!!! The gameplay of CC is terrible. It is a "Action/Adventure/RPG." You no longer have the battle system of an RPG, but an even worse system. You attack and move freely, but wait! If you move out of the zone of the chalice you HAVE to carry around, you can die!!! So you have to pick it up, run over, drop it, attack, pick it up, run, drop it, attack. The levels are nearly exactly the same, and you have to BUILD EVERY SINGLE WEAPON AND ARMOR AND ANYTHING ELSE. Your magic is dropped onto the ground in whitch you must pick it up and you can only have 2 magic on at a time. Only 2. Sorta like Final Fantasy VII, except they do not help your weapon at all and you can only have 2. You do like, NO damage, and you take hours to complete a year in the game.Plot: The plot sucks, Im not even going to spoiler it. Your world has darkness around it that can kill you. Instantly. So you have to go around, filling up a chalice with myrrh, whitch comes from a tree seemingly at the end of a dungeon. And each tree gives you one drop. So you go around to three dungeons, and do this about 5 times in a row, going back through the same dungeons OVER AND OVER AGAIN!!!! And after that, you get into the lame plot. OMG you have to follow this mysterious guy for no reason, eventually killing him. Yaayaa....ya....h....Overall: 15/100. 15 because they atleast tried. In Soviet Russia, video game review write YOU!
  4. DOFUS MMORPGThe GameIts a fun game, filled with your friends/ enemies/ dogz and everyone. Fighting and running and doing jobs. Its like a real life game where you start as a full grown man/girl just gotta keep lvling.AudioNot so great as the whole game almost features 1 music, the flute music all the time. And only in the battles does the "Phadadish" type music come, of an arrow shooting or something like ZZZZAT..lol 7/10!GraphicsNot so good, but its acceptable. The running and the arrow shooting does have good details. And its funny too, like in the inn theres a fire stand, looks like a middle finger poking out lOl! And when you shoot an animal/monsters, his eyes POP out like in acartoon 8/10Features1. You can make friends.2. Get into guilds, make groups etc.3. Fight monsters, increase attack power.4. Choose a variety of like 12 classes.5. Much more lol..but i dont wanna say it all right now, lazy lazy lol9/10Overall Rating8.5/10Suggestions-They keep launching new versions, i gotta download it like every OTHER week. So i would give them the suggestion that they wait for some time, do lots of upgrades, and give out one BIG DOWNLOAD!Downloads-http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ More to come.
  5. Happy birthday Xisto.com. You're a great host, keep up the good work.
  6. Prince Of Persia: The Warrior Within The Game Its pretty good for a game, the action and all is nice....and yes, it starts where Sands Of Time left, hunted by the demon of time, the prince goes to the island of time to reverse everything. ...yeah..but in this game the prince is an anti-hero. Like Drunkard beards, swift action, and critics were there because he said bad words like *BLEEP* and also it is a VERY VERY BLOODY GAME! But the action is good.... Graphics Awesome. Only the loading takes a while, but it's pretty good! 9/10 Audio Good. Very good. Just like Sot, actually its a sequel so its same..9/10 Features The Same 10/10 as Sot Suggestions Nothing...just release two thrones for the pc Overall 8.5/10
  7. PETER JACKSONS KING KONG: The Official Game of The Movie The Game- Awesome, totally based on the movie. You play as "Jack" the main hero and king kong. It has all the real things of the movie. The jawbreak moves, the dinosaurs etc. Its a very good game. Graphics- Awesome! Totally. The details of the running, the blood which splits, the movement of the hand., the short videos, those movements of "KONGS" mouth...its all fantastic- 9/10! Audio- Theres not much of audio. But the squeak of those spiders, the moving bush noise. Its not much but its...Detailed. So that makes it pretty cool. 9/10 Features- 1. You can play as 1st person Jack and 3rd person Kong. 2. With Jack you can shoot spiders and all. 3. As kong you can do that jawbreak thing, the climbing of tress, the blows and all...pretty good. 4. This game is pretty long, it gives a nice time passer. 5. The game is neither easy nor tough so its like KEWL 9/10 Suggestion- NOTHING. This game is good too. Overall- 9.5/10! EXCELLENT
  8. PRINCE OF PERSIA: THE SANDS OF TIME The Game- It isnt like POP 3d or the old platform ones, ITS FRIGGIN AWSOME! This game is suitable for all ages with mental ability to fight little tough things too. The storyline is pretty good Smiley Graphics- Awsome, the screens when we valve on a bad guy, the cuts and marks. They are all so nicely made that i am obliged to give a 9/10 Audio- The footsteps when we sidelong, or go up, the sound of our hand touching the wall just before hanging( yeah that smack @_@), the voices..all are very good. They also oblige me to give a 9/10 Features- Long list time THIS LETS ME TELL THAT THIS IS THE FIRST GAME IN MY REVIEWS TO GET A 10/10 IN FEATURES Suggestions- Warrior within and two thrones is good. THe upcoming POP REVOLUTION as i heard may be the last buT MAKE MORE POP GAMES FOR THE PC LOL!!! Downloads- Available in market, and the same old popular sites
  9. SUPER SMASH BROS.The Game-This game is a fighting game, but not like Mortal Kombat 2 or 3... its a 3d type game in which the all time popular video game characters are available to choose. Ranging from Pikachu to Link...all of them...(yeah pika=small link=tall enough). The Characters-This game has a total of 8+4= 12 characters from which 4 are hidden.Non Hidden Characters-Yoshi.Mario.Pikachu.Link.Fox.Donkey Kong.Kirby.SamusGraphics-The Graphics are pretty good, they attract the player as they are not "gory" but are very cartoony. But sometimes when you fall, you just go through the wall,i dont know if thats only in emulation. But i give it a 8/10Sound-The sounds are pretty good, like any game, it has the simplest "Bam" "Pow" "Boom"And some more like "WOsh wosh wosh" when you jump..8/10 to this to..Features-This game has many features, choose from 1 of the 12 characters. Each character has stages.Play vs or story (continuous mode) mode.Training, and bonus(practice) games. 9/10Suggestions-Not many, because this game is awesome. More characters are also not needed as the no. of characters(8..12 after unlock) are enough to give needed-entertainment.Overall Rating-9/10
  10. So here is my review:NEED FOR SPEED: MOST WANTEDAbout The Game-The game is pretty good, its not like other need for speed's in which you just select and race. Its not like Underground as you have cops to chase you to. This is more of a game in which you could spent time playing not past time to mention. You have to race 15 blacklist members. Best thing is you get their cars Smiley !Graphics-Lol. Awesome. The style in which the car starts with dust coming from back, the head lights of the cops. Its all pretty amazing. Also the views you can get and the video's/ cutscenes etc are very good. The menu system is pretty good. 9/10Sound-The sound is pretty good, and never gets like loud. When you crash even on low volume the screeching doesnt kill your ears, its pretty ok. Everything else in sound, the mobiles, the speech of oponnents..all very good. 8/10Features-yes. fighting blacklisters,so many cars, so many stages. Its all pretty good. The very good Nitros Oxide system makes you feel as if your really dashing at 200 mph!Well...that is true anyways @_@. You also get cards after defeating blacklisters, its all pretty good, you should take the bonus ones, you may get his car. THe case of getting the opponents car is good with Blacklist #10- Baron.omg cayman is an awesome car. Also the police levels keeps increasing, from some cop cars to huge Suv's and finally chervolete corvette..well some good car.The cops, bam and dash you, and 1 hour of cop running is 2 in real life. And its like ur a villian running from police after planting a bomb. 9/10Which is also true @_@!!!!Something they Couldve done-1. Made cops playable.like choose you career- Cop or Normal.it would be good.thats it..i dont think they can have anything else.Downloads-the download can be found on filefront.Overall Rating-9.5/10
  11. anyone played dawn of mana?why is it rated 5.1/10?when i first heard that a ''seiken densetsu 4'' was to be released in north america, i was pretty excited. TRUST ME, THAT GAME IS THE WORST 59.99$(Can) I EVER SPENT IN MY ENTIRE LIFE.what's making that game so bad:-everyone was waiting for a game that looks like seiken densetsu 3 let's see some differences(i'm not kidding, THIS IS SAD)(btw i finished dawn of mana)-1 character instead of 3.means no multiplayer mode.-few variety of enemies.no equipments else than your only sword. no armors or whatever.-the game isn't a big world, it's 7(if i'm right) stages, which are still big, but the fact remains that it's still stages. THE NEXT PART IS SAD-NO LEVELS!!!(means no stats as well)-NO TOWN!!!-NO ITEMS(there is items actually, only hp/mp recovery, and you have to use them as u touch them which is still pretty sad you can't keep them or whatever)-AND THE WORST, NO M-E-N-U-S(the only menus are to see what emblems you got and the configuration)-there IS stats. there's the HP which is a red bar, you don't really know the amount you have but oh well.-there is the MP,same as hp, you don't know the amount. only a blue bar-there's the only stats remaining: attack. you don't know the amount. all you see is a number when you hit. that,s about it.there's the hero, with a whip,a sword, and a slingshot.remember people,in previous seiken? we used to get spirits(espers) through the storyline(dungeon after beating a boss mostly?),now TADA!! we have all 8 of them within the 1st hour of playing, we see them like out of no where. THIS IS SAD.another thing, the only way to be stronger is by defeating foe that are panicking(weird system i don't feel like explaining it, but it sucked, trust me) you earn some hp/mp/def medals. not only that sux, but IN EVERY NEW STAGE, your ''stats'' will restart a new.i give these notes to the game:Graphics-9Storyline-7Controls-3Music-4Gameplay-4overall: it's rated 5 but i'll give it a 6.final comment? they tried to make some kind of mario 64 mixed up with seiken 3 and erasing many elements. don't buy that game. if you wanna play it that bad, simply rent it. i finished that game on my 21st hour.thank you for reading that kind of review!
  12. And hopefully I'll get them all! What are some of the games you intend to buy this year? Notice from truefusion: Quote your lists.
  13. I just started using SMF (Simplemachines.org), and I love the forums.Their support forums are really active. It's easy to install, on the site they have a full install/upgrade guide. There are plenty of mods/themes to customize your forums with, as well as having the option to fully customize everything yourself. (if you know some basic PHP/CSS it will make it a lot easier.)They also have a request type area, where you can ask people to write the mod you want for you, some will want some kind of incentive though. It's pretty much unlimited with it's customization, as long as you leave the copyright info on there. http://www.simplemachines.org/ Definitely worth the time to checkout.
  14. I don't have any issues with the credit system, you don't need to spend hours on here everyday, or even every week. I come on here and check posts, and whatnot, but I only post 1-2 replies or topics every couple days. I have about 9.5 credits right now, and that's plenty to last me for a while, especially if I can take 10 minutes out of the nothing that I'm doing right now. It doesn't take much to get a good amount of credits, and it certainly doesn't take much to keep them above 0.I've only been hosted for 2 days or so, and I am not having any trouble, or bad experiences with the hosting credits. In my opinion, this is one of the best ways to have a free hosting site, this way it makes the community stay active, or lost their account. How else are you going to make sure people post on your site, and continue to use your host?I would like to thank the admins/mods of Xisto, for giving me this hosting, and for the credit system.Good job, and keep up the good work.

    RPG Maker XP

Sorry for bringing this thread back up, but I noticed a bunch of people had questions/problems with the RPG Makers. I have made a site, along with a friend of mine, based around helping people with RPG Maker 2k3/XP. We are still in the process of getting the main site up and running, but the forums are good to go. We are still implementing some stuff to the forums, and of course are open to suggestions. So, if anyone needs help with RPGMakers visit my site, and sign up for the forums, we're always here to answer you're questions. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  16. Thanks a lot, I get it now. I have everything working now, it's fully uploaded and installed.I really appreciate the help.
  17. This is going to sound dumb, but this is my first host, as well as my first time using FTP.I'm not sure I understand what you mean about the Public_HTML, could you elaborate on that a bit?Thank you for your help so far, at least I know it can be done.EDIT:Actually, I found the public_HTML and WWW folders, sorry about that. Now, is there any specific one I have to move the files to? As in the one with my user name? Or do I just need to have the folder in there somewhere.EDIT2:I uploaded everything fine, now I'm installing.SMF asks for my MySQL Server Settings, I already created a database, and I entered everything to the best of my knowledge. The SMF installer, keeps giving me an error saying that the MySQL can't be accessed, telling me to contact my host if I'm not sure what the MySQL information is. My question is, what do I put for the MySQL information?Sorry for asking so many questions, and thank you for being so patient with me.This is the exact error it gives me:Cannot connect to the MySQL database server with the supplied data.If you are not sure about what to type in, please contact your host.Access denied for user 'jalkson_jalkson'@'localhost' (using password: YES)
  18. I downloaded the zip version of the SMF, from http://www.simplemachines.org/ I am using SmartFTP, to upload the files. I created a folder, named Forum, and uploaded all the SMF files there. On the simplemachines site, it tells me to type my site url followed by /forum/install.php, or whatever the directory I installed it on is called. I tried that, and I come up with this on the page. Not Found The requested URL /forum/smf1.1/install.php was not found on this server. Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request. Apache/1.3.37 Server at http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Port 80 As far as I know, I'm uploading the files correctly, I'm just not sure what the problem could be. If anyone has/is using SMF with their Xisto hosted site, please help me. I tried searching, but you can't search for SMF, since it's only 3 characters long. (4 is minimum)
  19. I've always loved the assassin/thief type of characters. They're always extremely mysterious. I love that in a character, I think it makes the game a lot more intense. If they're is no thief type character, I'd usually go for a black mage, mainly because I fell in love with VIVI from Final Fantasy. I'm not sure what it was, maybe it was the fact that you didn't see his face, so it kind of appealed to the whole mystery thing I was talking about. I have found myself using white mages fairly often also, they are usually such gentle characters.
  20. My favorite map has to be, de_cpl_mill. I don't know what it is about that map, just when I start playing on it I turn into a savage. I have clips from when I used to play CS competitively, It's just crazy. I've played CS for close to 6 years now, and Mill has to be one of my favorite maps.Favorite fun type map, would have to be fy_iceworld also.
  21. I've never tried runescape, I should give it a shot. I'll probably get just as addicted as everybody else. It's all free right? I just go to the site, and I have to sign up for an account, and that's about it? As far as suggesting ragnarok, that game is pretty awesome in my opinion. I've played it on and off for years, everytime I get re-addicted, it's like relapsing.
  22. This is awesome, I'll definitely give it a shot soon. I'll probably be on in the next 2 or 3 days. I haven't played RO in almost a year, this will be fun.
  23. Ragnarok can be an awesome game, as long as you have friends or someone else to play with you. I've played on MANY private servers, if you google ragnarok private servers, you'll get a list of 100-200 sites. It's all free, it just takes some time and a little knowledge to install.I played a 30 day trial of Lineage, I never was able to get a full monthly account though. I loved the game, the graphics weren't amazing, but it was really fun to play.
  24. Diablo II... I used to play that game all the time when it first came out. It had to be one of my favorite games, ever.I just never liked Blizzard, the company itself. It was way too easy for hackers to come and take over the game, I don't think it took more than 6 months for it to be overrun with hackers/scammers. That's a big part of online gaming though, I guess.Maybe it's just me, but I think Blizzard could have done more to prevent hacking on it's servers.Other than that, I think the game was amazing fun, I could sit there and play it for hours. I remember the first time I tried to play it, I just followed people around. I didn't have the slightest clue where to go, or what to do.I don't even think I figured out how to "chat" until about a week after I started playing. Overall I would give the game 9.3/10. It was definitely much better with the expansion though.
  25. My favorite would have to be World of Warcraft also. Followed by Ragnarok Online. They are just amazing games, and extremely addictive. I actually quit playing both of them not too long ago, for the simple fact that I had played them for much too long, and grew tired of them.Specific things I liked about each:World Of Warcraft * Graphics * Many users to chat with. * Quite a few "classes" to choose from. * Quest SystemRagnarok Online * Extremely fun * You can catch certain monsters and keep them as pets. * Many different "classes" to choose from. * Adding monster cards to your equipment boosts stats * Marriage Ceremonies * Adopting
