Nutron you shouldn't just base your whole opinion on one game, in this case Nintendogs. Sure i don't particularily like the game either, but look at the other great games that have been produced, maybe try playing a DS and some of the popular games if you don't like it then fine at least you've tried the games and can say so.

Yeah i agree, but if you dont want to be running linux which would be simpler id imagine, then you should try a google search, try the keywords xp on a ps2, who knows you might actually find a forum topic about this. Lol you would hate to be redirected back here again, im sure there are many ps2 modding sites that can help. Good luck on your search for XP on a PS2.

There are guides on google, that allow you to solder a usb connector onto the controller, but this will void the warranty, and also you would only do this if you know something about electronics. Or you could go with the easier alternative and get an adapter that you plug in and it goes into a USB port, many of these exist around the internet shops for nearly every console. Also you could think of going out and buying a PC controller, as many, if not most, say 70% are a design of the PSX/PS2 controller. These PC controllers have the same amount of button and sometimes more. These are probably around the same price as an adapter so you have a tough choice now, whether you want a controller or adapter.

I dont know how people can sit there and maintain their theory nay belief that Nintendo is childish, they almost always have no proof to back this up. I am getting fed up with people saying "oh well they just made Finding Nemo, this must mean they're a childish company." Seriously, grow up! They have made many mature games Resident Evil for example. They dont make too many mature games as they want money, where does money from selling games come from gamers, what age group are the majority of the gamers in? They are children, thats why they make so many games that appeal to both children and adults alike. Thats Nintendo's idea to get adults and older people back into playing games, which is what they are doing with the Wii. People need to stop being such sony fanboys and enjoy other consoles. I am not a Nintendo fanboy, i enjoy playstation games aswell, but most games i play i get bored of straight away or after around 2 hours of gameplay.

I agree with KuBi and AeonLan, If you advertise spamming on your forums no one will take your forums seriously, pretty soon it will be filled with idiots spamming alot, and soon you will be wondering why you ever created a spam board. You wont get alot of members, contrary to what many believe just because you have alot of topics created doesn't mean you will gain members, if anything your loyal members will be fed up and leave. People that visit your site wont go "Wow theres so many topics, i should join this popular forum." If they were smart they will do what everyone else does, and look where the majority of topics are coming from, if they find its from a spam board then they will not take much interest. Also i dont think that people actually exist on Earth just to spam, so they wont live at the spam area, which means you should make it a price to spam, like say deducting post count or credits. This way if you have a reward system people wont want to spam alot, but still spam if they can afford it.

Nintendo Ds & Nintendo Wii & Ds Web Browser
Caped_Crusaider replied to edandbet's topic in Computer Gaming
They make you pay for the web browser as it isn't made by Nintendo, it is actually made by Opera, the web browser is Opera the same as on PC's. Because it's not Nintendo that developed the web browser they have to charge you for it, i'm sure if it were a browser made by Nintendo then it would more likely be alot cheaper. And TripleH13, you need to think more logically, you say that if you have the original games then they shouldn't charge you but whats stopping someone saying they have the original games but dont and are essentially doing something illegal? Also if you have the original games, why not just play them on the original system if you dont want to pay for them? -
I don't know why anyone would want their forum spammed for a breif period of time. Why not simply get a user to be the spam moderator, create a spam thread where they can spam and not be banned and also where they don't receive post count. There are many mods for PHPBB forums and im sure many others, so if thats what you would like just do a quick google search. That way your faithful members have somewhere to spam, and you can rest assured that your members wont get post count. Although you may have done this now but why bother making the spamming for only a short time?

Futurama Or The Simpsons what do you choose
Caped_Crusaider replied to Rap_Speedy's topic in General Discussion
Well, it seems that theres a topic on this on every forum I visit, and what do you mean 5 seasons? There is only 4 i have all the DVD's and theres only 4 seasons. Ah a quick Tv.com search gives me the answer i needed, it would seem that some of each season was on a previous season's last DVD disc. Confused? As am I, you see each disc has around 6 episodes, so the last disc of season 1 is actually the beggining of season 2 and so on, this is why the alleged season 5 episodes are all on my season 4 discs, so if anyone asks that question theres your answer. The Simpsons have ran for too long and im glad that they are going to stop it after the movie, i prefer Futurama alot more. Most of the Simpsons episodes are basically what has happened before, or alot of clip shows. Futurama never ran for more than 4 seasons so many people never got over it, thats also the reason they are going to make another season or two. Because of all the loyal fans going out and buying the DVDs or signing the many petitions. Futurama is way better than the Simpsons as the show doesn't go for cheap laughs like the Simpsons, big deal if Homers stupid and runs into things its funny the first couple of times, but don't over do it. -
Balttlefield sweet or did it lost its charm ?
Caped_Crusaider replied to Rap_Speedy's topic in Computer Gaming
By "Battlefield the new one" do you mean 2142? If so then i haven't played it but that game looks amazing, as soon as i have my computer working ( if you've spoken to me on MSN you probably know what i mean ) then ill go out and by this, I am curious whether the online multiplayer would go well on 256 internet, and also if the single player is good incase its not, i dont really want to go out and pay around $100 for something which has terrible single player and not be able to play online. But the graphics look great but unfortunately haven't played it yet. -
I as 107 other people have voted for Gmail, there are so many different reasons why Gmail is the best. I have used both of the email services and would have to say i prefer Yahoo but thats not an option. The best of the two is definitely Gmail, it has a SPAM folder, now i havent used hotmail for about a month so don't start saying that im an idiot and that Hotmail does have one, as it didn't when i used it. Also Gmail has a massive amount of space and as they say, you don't even have to bother deleting messages. A very useful feature of Gmail is the ability to search all your messages for either a keyword or sort it by messages from a certain person. The message system is easy to use and understand, as its like a single conversation with one person, each time you reply or they reply it gets added to tabs. So you can click each tab and read all the messages. When i used Hotmail i constantly kept getting SPAM messages and junk mail, with Gmail i may still get some but it all gets added into a SPAM folder. I also like the option to delete all the mail in the SPAM folder, as sometimes i get abit lazy and don't check my mail for weeks and sometimes have over 100 messages. Gmail is definitely the best out of the two, its design is sleek and also it has so many great features.

Well since you have said that you didn't like Zone Alarm, you could try Norton Internet Security trial, and if you think that its good and does the job well then buy it. I have used many different firewalls, the windows XP SP2 firewall, Zone Alarm, Norton Internet Security and another that i don't know the name of. In my experience Windows firewall by itself is useless, Zone Alarm is too frustrating trying to work out how to get it to allow a port or program, and Norton Internet Security while i had it working was great, i didn't seem to get any viruses or anything else. If you don't want to try Norton as many people say it eats up resources which i don't believe, then you could always download a free virus scanner and firewall combo such as Avast, I am running it and its working great. I'm pretty sure it comes with a firewall, plus the updates are downloaded by itself and it has a little sound file telling you that the virus protection is updated. Try it and tell us what you think, if you don't like it i'll suggest a new one.

Nintendo Ds & Nintendo Wii & Ds Web Browser
Caped_Crusaider replied to edandbet's topic in Computer Gaming
This is really really old news, pretty much everyone knew about this when the Wii was announced, if not then, they also said so when the Pokemon games were announced. Im pretty sure it was mentioned in the E3 press release as well. But still the DS Web Browser is pointless, unless you are out somewhere where theres no internet access and you really need to use the web then don't bother getting it. You need to be near your computer in order for you to even use Wifi normally so you may aswell go on the computer and use it.As for the DS and Wii connectivity its amazing technologically, just think of what the future holds, although it is like the tablets you can buy for your pc, where you use a touch screen and stylus to control what happens on the monitor, these are most usefull for those who enjoy graphics editing as it gives you more control. Only difference is the Wii and DS communicate wirelessly. -
Firefox 2 Whos has it and what do you think?
Caped_Crusaider replied to BooZker's topic in The Internet
I have to say that this is the greatest browser out! Sure it has some flaws, and crashes sometimes but they were extremely smart and added the option that if your computer crashes then it asks if you want to continue, the next time you open up Firefox. That is a great feature as my old computer is always crashing and its really frustrating to have to frantically search through the history tab to find the great websites that i was on. I especially like the spell checker feature, although i have made very few mistakes i've found that many of the words aren't actually added to the dictionary. Its not as thought its a chore to add new words but its really stupid, you would think that they would already have a massive dictionary list, or at least instead of creating their own got some site like dictionary.com to do it, Also its really annoying that if you type a word in that it does not even include words with apostrophes in them. But other than those few very small annoyances i really like Firefox 2, its great. And if you havent i advise you all to download and start using this instead of stupid Internet Explorer which stole most of the other browsers features. -
Leaving Your Computer On? - is this good for it?
Caped_Crusaider replied to nickmealey's topic in Software
I had always wondered if I should leave my computer on all night or continue downloading the next day, my friends would always say that it is very, very bad and that i would be stupid to do something like that. Well I have asked alot of people and from my understanding plus what they have all told me, it really depends what you are doing on the computer whilst leaving it on. As say if you were playing games or downloading then it will use alot of system resources and my friend told me that this is bad as the computers always 'working' but on the other hand if you leave it on say stand by mode or hibernate where it is basically shut down but still technically on, my friend tells me that this is ok. Im not actually sure if this is all correct but it seems logical, as if the computer is working then it will be heating up and if it is not doing anything then it should stay reasonably cool and safe right? I wouldn't leave my computer on again as it could possibly be the reason that my computer has died, but it is around 3 years old so the motherboard is fairly warn out and is dying :'( But aside from having my motherboard fail on me alot nothing bad has really come from having my computer on, and i leave it on for around 8 hours some days and it is right next to a ducted heating vent so it does get pretty warm. But nothing bad has happened which is great news, i can tell you that im not risking it by leaving my new computer on all night though. Can anyone tell me if what my friend has told me about the computer 'working' whilst left on could possibly ruin it, or if theres more to it than what he said, as in he forgot to mention something?
