I give my vote to Yahoo! I don't know about the technical stuff about which is more safer, etc. but Yahoo gets my full support for the interface, specially smilies .. they can really make me express..

One of my friend was bragging a lot about this Linux distribution. I think I should take a plunge too.

I don't really use Linus .. but when the need arises... i use Knoppix Live CD Linux distro.Anyone can suggest a linux distribution for very very outdated system like a Pentium 300~ Mhz machine with 32 mb RAM

I still think surfing with the mobile is too slow for my liking.. so i stick with my broadband connection

I use phpbb fully mooded version .. try it it has lots of features.I have use phpbb for very long time and have found no bugs or annoying stuff with it.Although there is an outbreak of ads post in my forums.

To me its fully wrong! !! My opinion maybe a bit bias cause I had a very horrible memory of one *person* guy trying to abuse me when I was a kid. I kicked him so hard in the balls, he never tried that stuff again.So I have this disgust and hatred for homosexual guys! Yuk!!

Well if you can't find anything that you can really make a lengthy reply, try to find something that you can create a topic on. You can write a tutorial which is big credits if it's a long one. There is always news that you can find and summarize for people to read. There is really endless possibilities. Sometimes a post requires just a little bit of research. It is expected every once in a while to have a few short posts, but making lengthy ones will come easy in time. Just keep trying to expand on things, like why do you like something? Or if you have a disagreement with someone else said put what you think is right.

Yeah! Be more specific! Tell us where your usernames are stored?

If they are stored in a database, you'll need to query your tables for the said username and if there is a result, then we can say that the username exists!

I like the Gmail mail service, infact I am using the Google hosted service for my domain email service. I like Yahoo messenger.. i like those cool smilies.. they really can express what you want to potray!

Help! Guys! I have a php script which shows me the time and I think the server time set differently. Is there any way I can change my individual time zone. It looks very odd on the web page. I am using the Indian Standard Time.

Yeah, I managed to set my mail to google hosted too.I had lots of trouble understanding the whole concept though.Where I registered my domain name, they offered Advanced DNS setting for a cost. I bought the service but later I found out that the nameservers have to be set to their own which I need to set to some other free space provider. So I lost a bit of money there.Next, after realsing that MX setting is to be done by where the ns is set to (i.e. space provider). I found out that my space host (Awardspace.com) have blocked the mail for the free accounts and you needed to buy their email hosting packs. I left the Idea again.My previous host buildtolearn.com suffered a crash for which i could not use that space.I joined Xisto with a hope that I would get hosted but NO I was denied!!And I am here for the same reason (hosting requirement).. and that's my sad story which started out with Google Hosted Service :(P.S. My old server is back and I have configured google hosted finally. But I am unsure of my host's stability.

if you are talking about localhost on your computer, you can use mysql administrator if working with mysql.

Yeah! First Install MySql and then start winmysqladmin from Strat Menu or go to c:\mysql\bin\winmysqladmin.exe. Its quite a good GUI for creating database and tables.

It'll save you the hassle of installing Apache with php enabled.

I think Cpanel comes with an Antivirus! You can scan your system with that. I haven't been hosted yet but my earlier host had an antivirus after a virus outbreak affecting all my php files ! Some 'iframe problem stuff!!!

I use one of XP Password Recovery CD downloadable from the net to hack into forgotten winxp machines!This F11 Stuff is new !! I should try it out soon!
