  1. This post is only for those who are familiar with the issue I'm talking about. The arabic word for 'virgin', could as mean 'dates', as in the fruit. So if you think logically, wherever 72 'virgins' are mentioned, it is probably a mistranslation, and should be 'dates'. It makes more sense, since dates are quite significant in Islam.Sorry, I edited this...I really don't want to debate about Islam anymore

  2. Well......i am not here to take part in debate and i m not here to hurt any body's feeling and believes.I am a guy from India where approx 190 millions people believe in Islam, but a question rises in my mind always that why in islam males are everything and females are nothing, in pakistan, afganistan,..and other islamic territories womens are not allowed to wear a simple JEANS and in other hand a male rapes a woman and law & order forgive him!!

As mr Jon Jon has written "virgins to fulfill your sexual needs in heaven. That's what the muslims believe."

is this right? if it is right why islam is increasing it's population???

A man who rapes, according to the laws of Islam is supposed to be sentenced to death. Rape is much less frequent in Islamic countries.

OK...you're going to laugh at this but the Islam word for 'virgin' has multiple meanings. It can also mean 'dates'. Therefore, the verses from the Koran which claim that a man will have 72 virgins in heaven, could actually have the true meaning of 72 dates. 'Dates' as in the fruit, lol.

  3. I see people are having mixed feelings on this. Like everyone else, I don't really dig causing unnecessary pain to animals... Okay, maybe I do drown cockroaches in soapy water but that's about it! I do use my bare hands to bring outside any dragonfly, butterfly or grasshopper who make the mistake of entering a human abode. Not that I eat the aforementioned animals, by the way.
Anyway, I think all of us here know that it is nearly impossible to cut off all relations with animals. We have to eat, wear clothes and eat some more. Anyone telling me to go have a tofu burger can get lost. Tell me eating cow or pig is not natural and I'll break your equally unnatural iPod or cellphone on your face. Really, I think the entire deal about animal welfare is a bit exaggerated.

If someone is vegetarian by free will or as dictated by allergies or some other medical reason, good for him. If it proves beneficial to them, I'd be happy for them. If, however, they walk about thinking themselves to be better person for not eating meat, well, f*c< them! We always kill animals; anyone condemning us even for bringing swift death to our livestock will get the finger from me.

I mean, c'mon, we are sentient beings; poultry are, I suppose, also sentient to a certain degree. We have philosophies, including some strange ideas that eating animals is wrong. Cattle, on the other hand, do not think much, if at all, about the issue of sudden deaths. They may notice their comrades disappearing one by one but, by God, they do not ponder upon it too much, if at all. They'd probably just roll their eyes and go on chewing grass.

I think giving animals the human attribute called sentience is a bit too much. Animals don't understand the world the way we do. They may form bonds with us just as we can form a friendship with a household pet. However, declaring, no, preaching that eating meat is wrong is... well, wrong.

Look at it this way. It has also been proven that plants also respond to stimuli like pain. Does that mean we'll have to walk around naked, freeze to death, wander aimlessly, drink only water and feed on fruits that have already fallen? Are we meant to not take advantage of our evolution and, instead, fall prey to savage carnivores who will not think twice about eating us?

We're gifted with the ability to think; however, thinking the other species also think the way we think is thinking a bit too much, don't you think? :o

    Thank you salamgkero!!
You're answer is exactly what I've been trying to say all along
The Vegetarians at my school actually discriminate against me.

Well put it this way...In my school the very 'clever' people study together. The very 'clever' people in my school are almost all vegetarians apart from me and a couple of other kids. I show my concern for the world through taking pride in my science lessons. However the vegetarians tell me that if I loved the world so much, then I wouldn't kill and torture animals for food. They call me 'fake' and it really gets on my nerves. How could they say such mindless things?

  4. CLEAR: This is a topic against vegetarianism (I don't see a problem in that)Think about it...If the chickens were as strong and intelligent as us, then they would probably be killing us as wellI know chickens can't eat us, but you're missing the point. If any of the species were the most 'intelligent', then they would take advantage of the 'less intelligent' species, like we do for food. Who knows what the chickens would have needed us for!Another point:If I'm just going to sit there all day like an animal, with no actions or thoughts, I might as well not exist. I might even want to die, but not know how to. Anything without a purpose should be used to advantage.Okay, maybe I sound a little crazy and unshameful to all of you vegetarians, but every species is in competition. If we are classified as the most intelligent, we should take advantage of this privilege, like any species would and use the animals we need to for food. We need to find peace amongst the human species first, then talk about the rest. You see all these divisions of race, religion and also 'veg' and 'non-veg'. Its ridiculous, we should respect eachothers decisions. I hate being cursed by the vegetarians everytime I walk down the street. I am against animal cruelty, but turning vegetarian won't stop it. We need a more common-sense approach to stop the cruelty!

  5. Well since I am Pakistani, my parents have told me how great Bhutto was. When she was elected, she had my father's salary double! Yes, double. As for her death, she died for her country. She felt the need to come to her country and if she took the risk then it is evident how much she loved her country. Think about it. Theres always a risk when you cross a road, but sometimes you just have to. She did everything she could for her country, and that I truly respect. We can't blame her for her own death. It was bound to happen one day and it is not like she wanted to die anyway.Lets lift the blame off her and think of her as a heroin :o

  6. Hi, my name is Mehreen and I will graduate from HS too in about 3 months. When I go to college I'm going to study science and maths for A levels.Computers are interesting, maybe I could consider it once I'm older because my life has a set routine right now =[i also like history and creative writingOccasionally, when I am bored/unhappy/happy, I write poems to express myself.

  7. Believe me, this is not much of problem.I tend to stare straight through ones eyes when I am communicating with them. Some people get scared, while others think I like them. The worst is when people break out smiling or laughing. Maybe it is because nobody thinks I'm serious. But when I do give eye contact whilst someone is talking to me, they think of it as a little too 'extreme'. Don't worry if you can't give direct eye contact. You're not supposed to do it for a long time anyway. Give them eye contact for a few seconds when you're talking to someone/someone is talking to you. When you can't take it any longer, look around the room to give the illusion that you are thinking about what they are saying. And as long as you are really thinking, your response will be much better than just an 'eww'. Lol.Good luck! From a person with the opposite problem

  8. Believe me, being popular hurts so bad. You will probably never concentrate on your work. I had to leave and prioritise my education, which led to a 100% score in Physics. Something I thought I would never get! PS I'm not boasting, I'm just proving how beneficial it can be if you don't turn to popularityHowever, if you still desire to be very popular, I suggest that you look your best and leave your unpopular friends behind. Then when you are majorly popular, you can hang around with them again, without anyone getting in the way

  9. She has a beautiful voice. But I've never heard of her...but then again, I haven't heard of any folk artists.Juding by her profile views and play per day, she does not seem too famous, just slightly below average maybe?I'll definately put folk on my good list (to do with music) :). Thanks for getting me into it.P.SSweet is a very sweet song

  10. Losing interest? Its like me with my friends at school, sometimes if I hang around with one too much, he/she begin to bore me out. But I garantee 99.999% of the time, I start to miss him/her after a while. I realise that they were special and just because my brain got bored of seeing the same thing everyday, it doesn't mean my heart did aswell. Be careful about what you decide to do with your girlfriend. Because if you leave her, then could be good but what if you want her back?
