  1. I am currently using Spybot S&D as my guard against spywares. It's also a freeware and can even immunize your browser from nasty programs. Scans fast, neat interface and multi-language support are just some good features. Secure Shadder, one of the tools included in Spybot, can delete files permanently. A good anti-spywares.
  2. SP2 works fine for me, except that IE thing still crashes occationally. Is there anyone whp can find more serious bugs?
  3. That's good if the murderers really will do manual labour. They'll probably just get away and do nothing. It would be just a kind of revenge... killing the murderers are useless except that it encourages revenge. And if the society have to use "the same cruel way" to kill the murderer, there'd be no differences between the murderer and the society.
  4. May I add something more about gmail invitations?Since there are some reports saying that Yahoo and Hotmail considered every mail from google's gmail as spam e-mail, I would advise those who receives invitation to check their spam / junk mail folder. This can also be a disadvantage for using gmail, but it should not be a great problem.
  5. I'd also choose ASP since it's much easier to learn. And since most people still use Windows, it's not a big problem when ASP is limited to Windows' products... But, why don't use PHP? It's becoming more popular now.
  6. Will Microsoft ever consider this? I suspects... I've always claimed that Microsoft is a dangerous opponent for any hackers around the world. It's closing one eye because Microsoft need the pirated copies to spread its name. And once all the peoples get used to Microsoft's product it'll force you to use legal copies.
  7. Not your choice? Now you're under control of some people who don't know other browsers' beneifts A pop-up blocker for IE comes with Win XP SP2, and so far it works properly... In fact I think IE pop-up blocker is better than Firefox (if you configure it well) Internet technology evolves. ...and let the technology development halts? I *love* the tabbed browsing and extension feature of Firefox. YAY~ Yeah... that's the real reason why I use Firefox whenever possible. My browser had been hijacked several times and I've got spywares when I use IE. I think those who never get these things simply because they browse only the most popular websites like Yahoo!. Hopefully you're right. I've been forced to use IE as some sites can only be properly viewed by using that thing.
  8. But until now my account is still a small 2MB thingy...How can one upgrade to 250MB?
  9. Not exactly... in some countries like Australia many people still uses dial-up connection. And it's faster to access the webpage when it's downloaded to your harddisk! See... you can browse the website offline by downloading it right? You can download it to your laptop and surf your favourite websites offline!
  10. I'm currently using Norton and...well, don't have any good recommendations except those you mentioned. They're both popular throughout the world.
  11. Soon you'll get bored playing this game with lots of trap...I'd suggest you to play other games instead.I've played both 1 and 2 and soon get bored...And the expensions are just like traps!I've never seen a game with so much expensions!
  12. There're many companies which sells antivirus program.Which one would be your choice?
  13. I use both Firefox and IE.After all some pages can't be viewed properly unless using IE
  14. I've tried this method...It's normal when the DOS window open and exit. Once the DOS command finishes the window will be closed automatically. And in fact I don't recommend this method since you won't be able to read the error messages from the compiler, although you will still be able to compile the program. Also note that you won't be able to run the program just by "associating it with java.exe". Reason? Do you remember after you compiled the program successfully (e.g. javac testprog.java), what's the command you need to type in order to interpret (execute) the program? It's (javac testprog). You can't include the ".class" when executing the program, or you'll get an error message. And when you associate a file with a program, Windows just append the filename to the end of the program. So when you associate that *.class file to java.exe and you run testprog.class, you will get "java testprog.class" - it won't work. Try it on your own. Like cse-icons said, create a batch file to handle the task. But the easiest way may be to simply use an IDE to write and compile the program. ** Edit Create a batch file to do the task: Save the following code to runjava.bat under folder C:\j2sdk1.4.2_04\bin @echo off[br]title Java Compiler[/br]if "%1" == "" goto Help[br]echo Compiling...[/br]javac %1.java[br]if ERRORLEVEL 1 goto Error[/br]echo Compile successful. Running program...[br]java %1[/br]goto End[br]:Help[/br]echo Compiles and run a java program.[br]echo.[/br]echo RUNJAVA [filename][br]echo.[/br]echo [filename] File name of the java source code (without .java extension)[br]goto End[/br]:Error[br]echo *** Compile failed ***[/br]:End[br][/br]What a long post...
  15. In my school I am required to learn how to use Red Hat Linux... After all most versions of Linux is free to use. I've never seen a free Unix in the world...If you ask me the most important difference between Linux and Unix, My answer would be "Price"... You'll grab Linux when you want a free OS.
