  1. I love CS: Source...even though I'm horrible at it. I'm still getting used to Source though, cause I used to play a lot of 1.6 for years. I like all source games, recently got DOD: Source...excellent!
  2. I think the future of games is going to be more than just pretty graphics upgrades personally. Up to this day, every new console has just been a graphical improvement, not much else in my opinion. For some reason, I also think that one day we will be able to be the characters in the game, like some of you have already said. One thing that I would like to see is face scans, where you can scan your face onto a character in the game. The web cam idea sounds cool as well. Maybe not just face scans, but entire body scans and motion sensor technology? The possibilities are endless, but it's always fun to think about the future.
  3. Sorry I left out so many choices. I meant this was "My Ultimate Poll". These are games I really enjoy, not necessarily what everyone else prefers. The poll title is a little deceiving I think.
  4. Johnny Cage was always cool because he punches you in the balls. I always liked Motaro as well. Honestly, how can a giant man/horse with a spiked metal tail not be awesome? Fighting him always aggrovated me, but fighting as him against my friends was always fun.
  5. Hmm. I wonder if a Doom 4 would ever be made. Maybe some other company would take over the franchise...? Anyway, I think it'd be easy to make... Post your ideas and comments!
  6. Guild Wars was an awesome game for the longest time. I was hooked on the game for at least four months. However, unless you keep buying all the new Guild Wars titles that keep coming out (Factions + Nightfall), no new content is added to the game. I personally can't afford to buy a 50 dollar game every 3 to 4 months or so. I played the original for so long that I started to do things in the game twice, which is mainly what caused me to quit playing the game. The plus side of this game is that it does not require a monthly fee to play. For people who want to play a free MMORPG that is easy to learn and play, Guild Wars is for you.
  7. I also prefer games on my pc. However, you cannot argue the fact that there just isn't as big of a game library for PC as their is for most consoles. Another great thing about consoles is that they are much more portable than a huge PC tower (Don't have a laptop). Sometimes when I feel like having some friends over for a private Lan or game party, having a console is very awesome. Computer games do look better and play better (in my case), but all that came at a pretty heavy price. I could have almost bought myself a 360 and PS3 for about the price of my PC!
  8. The wii and the concept looks really neat. However, I can't say at this point if I'm going to buy one or not. Just like the 360 and PS3 (Coming Soon) I will have to play the system and get some hands on experience before I'll be able to make a final choice. I do have high hopes for the wii, so I'm looking forward to it's launch.
  9. Counter-Strike is awesome for Lans. The matches are intense and require good team work and strategies. Online multiplayer is excellent also.
  10. Imagine what video games will be like 20 years from now.20 years ago they were just very simple easy games like pac-manand frogger, and now look what they have become. What do you believe the future will hold for video games?
  11. I purchased the game yesterday and I've been playing it non-stop (sorta). I never bothered playing an AW game before, but this game makes me regret it (the first two games are pretty difficult to find and I want to unlock all the maps). AWDS is probably one of the best turn-based strategy games ever. There are tons of units to use (around 30, I think) that keep the gameplay interesting. The stylus and touch screen work wonders for this game. I haven't had a chance to try out the multiplayer yet, but the campaign mode is awesome. You must try this game NOW!
  12. Ok, after a lot of thinking I have decided which games should and shouldn't be in this poll. So this is my ultimate poll!
  13. Counter-Strike: Source, pretty much all Source based games!
  14. Hi I started getting into Guild Wars for the PC about 5 months ago, but lately it's been getting sort of old to me it feels like. I am looking for some good online games with solid gameplay that are not too difficult to understand. I don't really have a specific type of game that I prefer, but I mostly have been playing MMO's and shooters mainly. Any suggestions on some games that I might like would be excellent. I'm not looking for games that cost money to play online however, like world of warcraft and what not. Thanks for all your reply's.
  15. This tutorial will teach you how to make realistic lightning. 1) Open a new file, set the canvas size to about 400 x 300 pixels. 2) Set your foreground color to white and background color to black. 3) Go to Filter > Render > Clouds. 4) Go to Filter > Render > Difference Clouds. 5) Go to Image > Adjust > Invert. 6) Go to Image > Adjust > Levels. 7) Move the arrow in the middle all the way to the right. 8) To change the color of the lightning like I did, go to Image > Adjust > Color Balance. 9) That's all there is to making realistic lightning, fairly simple yeah? This is what mine turned out.
