  1. Rock is by far better, ive never really understood rap music, obviously theres talents involved but i couldnt leisten to it for any length of time. although i dont hate it i dont usually listen to metal, anything by floyd or zeppelin is briliant, in some songs the lyrics are really meaningful, and with zeppelin you really get a complete bend, they are some of the most telented performers of all time, while floyds recordings are second to none when you just need to relax.
  2. You obviously have watched very, very litle rugby in your time. Infact, instead of being a very similar sport, there are an inceadible number of differences. I belive that the only direct similarities are the shape of the ball, the posts, and in a lesser way touch downs and conversions. Of course all of these ideas were taken from rugby but thats a matter for another day. Another matter is that rugby is entitled to the name "football" but we choose not to use it, as we were the first sport to record regulations for our version of football, while american football and british soccer prefer to use the name "football". Although this matter does not bother me that much. Rugby is obviously the most complex sport around, and football is obviously one of the simplist. In rugby we have scrums, where players use their minds and power to force penalties or free kicks, in football you have scrimmages where you just run into eachother and occasionaly put the 3 1/4 under pressure. In rugby if the ball goes out you dont just get another go at it, the ball is handed to the opposition for a lineout, the teams forwards stand in line and are lifted to either recieve their own ball, or contest it. In Football you have yet another scrimmage. But the thing that really makes rugby the more exiting game is open play, if a player is tackled then we dont just get up and have a scrum, we play on, the forwards of each team form a "ruck", another very technical area of the game where each team may contest for the ball when it is on the ground, then it can be passed out to the backs. Back play in rugby is quite briliant, because we have to pass the ball backwards players must run with the ball, and its not just about who can pass the furthest, its about who can spot the space, and who can run into the space off the ball. Youl never see anything like this in football - try of last century
  3. Pink Floyd founder Syd Barret has died at the age of 60 at his home in cambrisgeshire. From my limited knowledge, Syd was the founder of Pink Floyd, and lead singer until he ledt just before the bands fame went worldwide, even as a star he lived in his parent's basement, he boreded up the windows to keep the fans and press from looking in, after he left the band he recorded 2 solo albums. In the album "wish you were hear", Floyd recorded a song named "shine on you crazy diamond", which is widely considered to have been a tribute to Syd. The band issued a statement: Barret was famed for his experiments with the guitar, including the successful slide and echo effects, and less successful techniques like strumming his guitar with te teeth of is lighter. Barret as been described as a kid who wrote a song and played a bit of guitar, but he is a true inspiration to many. So the message to Syd, frrom millions of Floyd fans all over the world, Shine on you crazy diamond. Notice from BuffaloHELP: Please use QUOTE bbcode tag for legal and forum rule reasons. Thank you.
  4. Girls really apreciate a gentalman, its very true.I learned this a while back when i took a couple of girls to the gym with me, one of them wanted to play around with the bench press so I adjusted the weights for her, and went off to another machine, and overheard her telling her mate how much of a sweet gentalman I am! I wasn't even trying to impress her which just goes to show that being yourself should work aswell.
  5. I dunno how old you are mate, im 15 and would just get her MSN adress cus that in my opinion is the best way to be talking to someone like a mate, yet privetly. Before you ask for anything like that you should get to know her first, take her somewhere for lunch and just be yourself and ask for any E-ails or phone numbers when youve had at least the 1 decent discusion.
  6. Yeah, amazing i could remember all that! took me a good week to get used to the idea, its bloody impressive though.
  7. A mole is either a creture or a scientific mesurement.the mole - 600000000000000000000000A mole is a number of atoms of one element, its special because a mole of any elements weight in grams will be the same number as one atoms relative atomic mass. For instance, if an atoms relative atomic mass is 10, then if you get 600000000000000000000000 identical atoms, the whole mass will be 10 grams.Clever ay!
  8. Assuming you mean playing it, soccer, mainly because everyone else apart from me has ridiculasly good skills! And if you mean watching it, soccer, because of all the chavs!
  9. Take up Rugby!I dont know if you live in america, and i know it isn't too popular over there, but it is an awsome sport, once you get going youl never want to stop.
  10. I like all sports, I play and watch a lot of rugby, Train for Judo regually, I watch football sometimes but feel the actual "footballers" are way to indisciplined, and I just play loads of random sports for leisure.
  11. 20 minuits?Yeah, thats probably true I should think.
  12. Is it possible to lose credits? If so how?Just trying to avoid it, thanks. Hopefully this post dosn't count for credit as that wouldn't be very fair! Notice from mayank: Moved from tutorials to question & queries. Changed topic title.
  13. Yeah, I was routing for France, but admittedly it was only so I could get competetive with my dad!Great win for Italy, they probably deserved it.Oh and by the way, its ten O'clock over here in blighty!
  14. I do like your idea, but I was having a bit of a laugh aswell if thats alright <_<Think it would be pretty cool but I wouldn't buy 1!
  15. I dont know if this is the right question, how about if we were to ask "are we living a dream?".We all know the saying "life is too short", maybe thats because it only lasts 1 night, every day we wake up somewhere else, as someone different and live a day the lenght of a lifetime, ready to go to bed and dream someone elses life, that'd be awsome!
  16. Like it, thumbs up.you'd prob need a different case for each kind of disk though so it would be very big, but hey, why not include a screen aswell? and even an internet connection, no, how about wireless already installed! you could just have the 1 controller, with litle lights telling you what the buttons are, and when you switch consoll, the x might turn into an A or something! We could play DVDs and make phone calls and E-mails, why not include a coffe machine? or a fish tank? and while your at it we could even include CCTV, and make it solar powered! Sir, you are an inspiration to us all
  17. Like it Webber, great post. Obviously you know that I'm involved with Judo, but this is a good opertunity for me to write a few words myself.Judo is a sport that will change your life, that in my oinion is what makes it an art, it has that litle bit more about it than other sports. I took up the sport when I was 7, over half my life ago, and if I hadn't then I would never have had the fitness and strength to be playing for my city rugby team, I would nver have had the co-ordination to take up the drums, and finaly be playing in a band, and I would never have had the courage to take up sports at all.Nowadays, admittedly, the band and the rugby is more important to me than Judo, but I never forget where it all started, being a 7 year old watching the inspirational Niel Adams on the telly, and as a result going to the local Judo club, I later found out that my instructor had fought Niel on numeruos occasions which is very sppeical to me.As you know Webber, you or I may only get 2 or 3 contests in a year, but the adrenaline is increadible, its something that really helps me perform. To be sitting on the edge of that mat, sharing banter with fellow competitors, and eying up the opposition during their earlier fights, and after making the jourey, after having waited for hours for the one moment your name is called, you are about to go into the most nackering 5 mins of your life, you cannot make one mistake or you will lose. That would be enough exitement as it is, but also the fact that you are on a stage, that there are stands filled with suporters, it is an increadible feeling. I'm getting butterflies in my stomach just writing about it, but I wouldn't give it up for the world.
  18. Ive had the same idea myself a couple of times, god I must be wierd, Something that no-one has mentioned yet is comparing him to an animal, do cats think in meows? do lions think in roars? I dont think so.I belive that what happens in an animals brain is all instinctive, if the man in the box existed, he would think instinctivly aswell, and he would learn, he would learn that every day at 12:00, a sclice of meat would fall from the celing, he would learn that at 10:00 every night the lights would suddenly go out, but he would not develope his own language as has no nead for one. I say this because I also belive that humans developed launguage "together", weather with a lover, a brother or a group of freinds, if he is on his own he has no nead to tell anyone a secret, he has no nead to ask for something, he has no nead for a lanuage so he wouldn't develope one.
  19. Sorry, the guys Welsh and here in britain we call soccer "football"Interestingly enough the first official form of "football" was in fact rugby, officially rugby holds the rights to the name but they're just about the only sport who dont use it!
  20. heres an interesting statiscic, in the space of 1 year, you will shake hands with 98 men who have masturbated and not washed their hands, and only 4 women.I have a bit of a theary, do girls lie about it?I reckon they do it, but never admit to it, I reckon just as many girls do and guys, only in these questionares and stuff, they wont admit to it.Anyone agree?
  21. I dont know how many of you play this game, because its obviously not the most popular sport around and even to play the playstation game you have to know the very complex rules.I reckon its got most of the rules and graphics spot on, but I do have a few problems with it, so as much as I love playing it, I'm going to be a nerd and complain about it on the internet.First problem, playing players out of position. Why if you play someone out of position do they autamaticly have a bad game? Example, James Forrester is an out and out back row forward, but has played many games for Gloucester at 12, so why wont I do so on the playstation? because the game will make him the worst player on the pitch. Same story with Steve Thompson, who started life as a flanker, and still plays there ocasionally for saints, but I cant do so on the playstation because he will automaticlly drop every ball that goes his way. Now thats the stuff I can live with, but the problem is, payers are frequently changing positions. For instance Leguizamon moved to London Irish, and was soon transfered from a 6 to an 8. On the playstation I cant play him in what has turned out to be his best position.Another huge problem I have with the game is injuries to props.Because the front row is such a specialist position, if your replacement prop is injured you are requiered to bring on your original choice but you cant do this on the playstation, and if your replacement prop was injured, you must go to uncontested scrums. On the playstation, there are no uncontested scrums, you just have to put someone else in the front row, a normal player, and this creates a whole new issue. In real life, put an ordinary player in the front row of an international match and he will break his neck straight away, no doubt about it but on the playstation he will scrum all night and just lose every one of them, totaly unrealistic. These are my only real issues with the game, its by far the best rugby game on the market but there are vast improvements still to be made.
  22. Top Welsh Referee Nigel Whitehouse has called for Soccer to adopt some of rugbys own refereeing tactics, including a sin bin and a video referee.Whitehouse told the western mail that "In football there is so much abuse of referees by the players. Referees are under immense pressure as it is, but the way players surround and intimidate them is ridiculous."He later said that he "would be in favour of some sort of sin-binning being introduced, whether it was for five or 10 minutes" and also that he belives "If a player knew he was going to be sin-binned for certain offences he would stop doing them."I am personally all for this idea as I belive the disciplin in soccer has got out of hand, in my opinion there is truley no other way. What are your thaughts on this?
  23. I dont usually watch football, exept in world cups of course, and I must say I am amazed that Rooney got a straight red.Obviously, the poor guy was in agony, but surely if Rooney didn't mean it, which in my opinion he didn't, then I really do think he should only get a yellow for being careless.
