  1. This is just a huge comparison with all the chat servers, there's alot..so if you get bored of reading (lmao). Then just take the poll. lol. AIM I personally, love AIM. I think it's because I've been with it for so long, they recently brought out a new version "AIM Triton" Which was great, but I couldn't get used to the new look of it. So I still use my old aim version 5.9. LOL. However! The only serious problem I have with AIM, is the random virus-filled links, people send you. I have a dream... that someday, people will learn that they should never click on links without knowing the source. When you get a link in an IM, be caucious, First of all, Do you know who the hell the person is? Most of the time, when you click the link. It's virus-filled. And when you click it, it goes to the rest of your buddy list. Causing a HUGE commotion. Ask what the link is for, I don't understand why people just click it, then start complaining when there computers crash. Maybe people don't understand what a random link is! If your not talking to someone on away, and all of a sudden they IM you with a link like "Hackersareus.com" <- Don't do it, You weren't even talking to the person. YOU KNOW that's a virus, especially. Because look at the name, lol. But Overall, AIM is pretty cool. I feel like it's mostly used by American/Canadian users. Also Myspace users. MSN MSN Messenger is the fastest growing instant messaging program, and currently ranks #2 (behind AIM/ICQ). Okay! I respect all opinions, but regardless of what we think about Bill Gates and Microsoft .... MSN Messenger is the most compatible and is the easiest instant messenger to use. It's clean and extremely functional. HOWEVER! It's not perfect, but hey. Also -- It's easy to start a chat, you simply add a person to your conversation. In AIM, you have to create a whole new box. The only thing I don't like about MSN, is that. If you don't have a hotmail account, you have to make one to use it. In AIM, as soon as you register, it creates you an automatic aol email account (Or At least it did for me). YAHOO I believe yahoo, is an alternative for AIM or MSN. It's a bit easier, because if you signed up with Yahoo! Mail or My Yahoo, it works automatically. Im NOT a Yahoo user, I don't really like yahoo..however, I'd love to hear what you have to say about it. The pro's and con's of it. Because I don't really have any. ICQ ICQ, pronouced, 'I seek you' is the grandaddy of ALL instant messaging programs. Those of you who are about hmm let's say 14/15teenish, and below, probably never heard of it. Long Ago, before AIM or Yahoo there was a ICQ, it wasn't very nice looking, but hey if you wanted to talk to Grandma Rose in Argentina, then that's what you'd use. ICQ has grown over the years and claims over 100 million users worldwide. More and more features are being added, however people discard it because of the unwanted features. I've SEEN it, and I don't like how it looks, and the features. So I say, no. If you use it, please tell me what you think. GOOGLE TALK Google Talk is powered by google. It was realeased August 24th, 2005. (Correct me, if I'm wrong) and consists of both a service and client used to chat. I think google talk is OKAY! However, Most people in my school, go on it to chat with friends during classes. The only problem is that it pops up when someone messages you, if your caught. That sucks. BUT! Other than that intresting fact..Google Talk looks okay, it's powered by google which is a plus. And Yeah...If you use it, and enjoy using it, please feel free to comment lol. TRILLIAN And Woahh, This one reminds me of MSN so much. It's really creepy how much it looks like MSN Messenger, to the point some may call it a rip-off. But NO, it's actually Trillian Pro. I don't really know much about it, just seen it once in my lifetime (lol). So please, if Im wrong, feel free to correct me.
