  1. First Layout-

Interesting menu, maybe a little original too. The text on the menu is propably the best part of this layout. The borders of the white menu part is a little to dark(the shadow at top, and the shadow at bottom). The green bar under the banner is pretty bad too. The criss-corss lines on it are to dark on the light green which makes it look...not as good... The content box is ok, but the green border on the gray looks bad. It woulda looked better without any border at all. And, the banner's OK.

    5.4/10

    Second Layout-

This one is alot better then the first. Especially color wise. The top box at the top adds a nice feel to the layout. The menu is the only bad part. The grey you used in the menu is to dark, which does help the viewer notice the menu better, but it's just not...visually appealing...

    7.3/10

  2. It's not that it's depressing, it's just hard to see the render. THe background behind the render seems to be clouds, and the same few brushes used over and over, which you should never do. Always use different brushes to keep the background, consistant, and not repetitive like it is here. Also, the text is disgusting. The font choice is not to good and the glow is too bright compared to the rest of the wallpaper. Because it's so bright when someone see's the wallpaper their attention is directed to the bright text, and not the render in the middle, which, I feel should be the main point of the wallpaper. 4.3/10

  3. some basic changes and modifications here and tehre might be nice. say, layers and anti-aliasing brush strokes. but nothing overboard, paint is there as a simple image manipulator. anymore and it wont be paint anymore. there are other programs out there which are used for advanced editing, if microsoft were to make some top of the line image manipulator they will be crushed by the industry standards such as adobe photoshop. it will be a waste of time and money.

Basically the exact same thing that paint.NET is.

  4. Consoles-Consoles have very little load time which is propably the largest upside to them. For most consoles(unless you pay extra) don't have online play but you can play with a friend which is also really good. Costs alot for games and the consoles which server no other purpose but to play games, unlike PCs which could also be used for so many other things(word processing, design, drawing, etc....)PCs-Alot of games have long load times(BF2, FEAR, etc) but alot of these games provide online play. MMORPGs are also much more available for the computer then consoles. There are also hundreds of thousands of free games for the computer which makes it alot easier because they're free. Online games for the PC also have a tendency to lag, as do non online games because of memory usage.

  5. These layouts are OK. The colors don't look very good and most of them but the main problem is the fonts. You should usually use more generic or basic fonts, like verdana or arial, instead of try to use pixel fonts, and then oversizing them so they get all disotorted and anti-aliased(anti-aliasing+pixel fonts is a no-no). The banners aren't to good either. The first two are just some well brushed banners. The third layout is propably the best. The black and grey looks pretty nice and the menu is ok, but the gradient becomes to bright, same with the menu and content bars. The banner is also more interesting in third.

  6. The first one-

THe mountains look nice, and the glowy look seems to bring out the colors out a little more. The only thing that's not to good about this is the text. The way you have the two more SAINT-MICHAEL texts with a lower opacity doesn't look to great. Maybe if you made the two other SAINT-MICHAEL texts have a 5 guassian blur or a motion blur going vertically, or something...

    The second one-

This one is great manip. COlors are great and the border look on the flower's petals is great as well. The border is a tad annoying, but still good.

  7. In windows, if you are connected to the internet, you will almost always get a virus. My winXP computer in my room got infected with a worm and I was forced to reinstall windows. On my laptop I use Ubuntu Linux so I don't have to deal with viruses, ever, and if for any reason, ubuntu would crash, I won't need to reinstall it like I would with windows, but find help on the ubuntu forums. Once your computer is infected you could run programs like, Adaware SE personal, AVG Anti-Virus, Avast! Home Edition, Spybot-SD. Most of these programs have things that will run in the background keeping your computer "safe", which really helps. Ad-Aware, Spybot and AVG, I know have a scanning app, so every week you should run those and scan your computer for any viruses/spyware.
