  1. I am trying to run a web application that says I need MultiViews enabled. Can anyone tell me if this is enabled by default on Trap hosting, and/or how I can turn it on?Thanks for any help.
  2. I've been wanting to get a RAZR, but I'm a big fan of custom files on my phone. I usually will upload ringtones, wallpapers, and (if possible) games. I hear it's locked by Verizon and you can't do that anymore. Is there any way to flash the firmware to make this possible again?
  3. I prefer Windows mainly because of the fact that I can use Windows for everything out of the box. Linux requires alot of configuration, but because it can be configured to however you want it, it is very flexible unlike Windows. Linux will never be for your grandmother, but if you know what you're doing, it can be pretty powerful.
  4. Wireless internet is convenient, no wires, no hubs, just a router and you have internet all through the range of the router. Make sure you invest in a good router, or you will suffer speed issues. My router likes to decide whether I get high speeds or dialup speeds, and alot of times it will take a few resets to establish speed again. In my opinion, D-Link routers are notorious for this, and aren't very flexible about port forwarding and the like. I would definitely go with Netgear routers, they are so much better then D-Link's routers. Although, make sure your wireless cards will support the router you're buying. There are a few different frequencies that aren't compatible with each other. IEEE 802.11 is the standard wireless frequency, and is considered the most stable. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/IEEE_802.11) Hope you find the right router!
  5. So, I'm getting into web design more and more now, and am thinking about investing in a graphical HTML/CSS editor. I'm thinking that it would allow me to to be more of an artist and would let me be able to control more of what I see, rather then coding it all out by hand. I was thinking of either Deamweaver or Frontpage. Has anyone used these programs or has any experience with any other programs? I was looking at some other freeware programs that seem to not offer as many features.Any help is appreciated to help me decide. Thanks!
  6. While I think change is usually a good thing and for the better, I think Office was the one thing that had the interface down. It was pretty clean, everything was easy to find. Now they add a little button and then everything else is dynamic, which sounds good on paper, but is really just an annoyance. The worst part is that there is no option to go back to the old interface. I was all for Vista's new interface changes, but Office's new changes look like they were catered to the people who don't know what they're doing, and just want a dumbed down GUI to "make it easier".
  7. Try the recovery console (reboot and hit r in the BIOS) and see if that fixes it, but it looks like someone/something severely messed up something in the registry. Run a registry repair program and try that out.
  8. I just saw the trailer for Halo 3, while it was just some cg animations, it looked pretty cool. I don't think there is a release date for it, but I think a projected release date was summer of 2007.
  9. Well, not an alternative, I'm just looking for a good audio editing program that comes with loops and is remotely powerful. I've tried Audacity and it's good, but it's still not quite what I'm looking for. Any suggestions?
  10. Wouldn't you also be able to use an "@echo off" command?
  11. Get your Windows XP recovery disk and boot on the cd (Do this by getting into your BIOS, you'll have to press a key, mine is F12, and reearange the boot order so the CD will boot first.) Then hit R to start a repair, this might fix the problem, but if you can call whoever made the computer if it was a company, then they'll give you some better support.
  12. Yeah, I hate Google Web Accelerator. If anyone is using it, uninstall and delete it right now. It has even been classified spyware by some people. I used it once, and I found logs that scared me, so I deleted it immeadiatly, and others have had the same problem.
  13. Yeah, my computer was going really slow lately, so I ran an amazing program called CCleaner (/ccleaner). It has functions that let you clean out your registry (where alot of problems arise), take out alot of temporary files, deletes unnecessary programs, deletes hidden logs of files (those can really add up, I had over 50MB of logs, which is amazing.) it lets you manually edit your startup folder (where alot of unnecessary programs and viruses start), and cleans out all the other areas you may have missed. This program made my boot speed alot faster and I highly reccommend it if you want a faster boot speed.
  14. I found an old computer that was running Windows ME (You know, Windows Mistake edition. ) and installed Unbuntu Linux. It makes it run like new and it's actually useable again! I highly recomend it.
  15. You can get flash player from an exe (https://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/otherversions/) or if you're using Firefox, try the plugin manager and see if Firefox can download it for you. If you are using IE, try the exe.
