  1. It's rumored that the Half-Blood Prince may come out June 2005. Jo said (on her site) that it would be shorter than the 5th (thank god, that book was too long to be a decent story). Also, chapter 2 is called Spinners End, chapter 6 is Draco's Detour, and chapter 14 (I believe it's 14) is called Felix Felicis (sp?) which means lucky, happy, fortunate, in Latin. And the Half-Blood Prince is not Harry or Voldemort (or Tom Riddle for that matter). And Mark Evans does not in any way relate to Lily Evans, he was just a random character that has no significance.
  2. I've posted about 7 or 8 times now (at least) and yet my thing still says 2. Every single one of my posts has been over 3 lines, but it's still not increasing!!!
  3. OMG okay lol I'm okay...1 day, 6 hrs and 30 minutes (or so...) until it comes out...can't wait...Although it's not fair cuz in the UK it came out Nov. 18th...I REALLY want to see all the extra stuff...I wondering if they'll have interviews with all FOUR main characters...
  4. Well, of course if you take away something that a kid has been obsessively playing then s/he's going to be pissed, you can't say that just about video games. And not all video games (in fact most) do not make you think critically. They are not essential for kids and teenagers!! Some games do, of course, for example puzzle games. However, many are just 'go in and shoot all the bad things while trying not to die', with possibly SOME thinking involved about what to do for that particular situation (ie Halo). But are you really going to face that situation in real life? Most likely not (unless you are in space and come across a huge ring with lots of life on it and the convenant trying to use it as a weapon to destroy life in the galaxy so that the swarm or whatever they're called don't have any food and will die...). Anyway, videogames distract people from real life. True, this is not always a bad thing. It can be argued from both sides.
  5. Maybe it's just me not understanding this, but the message that I get is that Congress cannot make any law about a religion ie. Bush cannot write in the constition/make a law/whatever, saying that God exists. And for the thing how Bush retracted funding for stem cell research (no one get mad, I'm not trying to defend him in ANY way), but stem cell research is actually very controversial. It's not just about finding a cure for cancer or whatever, but it would really enable human cloning.

    Why Did Bush

Exactly...Does Bush actually believe that by invading Iraq he'll be the big hero and destroy terrorism forever? I mean, it's not like there will be another Bin Laden if he's killed, or anything. Now, one step that can be taken forward (without a couple backwards) would be to actually destroy Al Qaeda...it's communication between terrorists that keeps them funded.
  7. Well, if you count being a student as an occupation (really kind of like forced labor as I don't get paid...lol), then yes, I have a job. Yes, I am content with it, lol my friends and I have so much fun at school...but in college (I'm a sophomore in high school) I want to go into computer programming (who knows, I could continue playing clarinet, too).
  8. Xbox or ps2?Xbox-- Halo. This game rocks. Period.PS2-- Spyro 3, Lord of the Rings, Neopets (haven't played it yet, seeing as it hasn't been released yet cuz everyone complained about it being released on PS1 so they're redoing it), Baldur's Gate, and many, many more.Xbox-- Halo.PS2-- DVD.Xbox--Pretty buttons...PS2-- Graphics.Xbox-- Graphics.PS2-- More games.Xbox-- Halo.Yeah, you can see which one I choose...
  9. For the war, if he had a good reason to invade Iraq, then go ahead. But oil isn't a good reason. He's saying that it's the 'war on terrorism' when more terrorists (like Osama Bin Laden) come from Saudi Arabia. He also said that God told him to do so.He's also trying to put his religion as the law, ie. 'heaven exists, God exists', etc. NOTE THE CONSTITUTION, THE BASIS FOR THE AMERICAN SOCIETY: SEPARATION OF CHURCH AND STATE.Edit: he's also the only president since Harry Hoover to LOSE jobs, and he doesn't have the excuse of the stockmarket crash of 1929 and the Great Depression as an excuse.
  10. Ok, just felt like saying this:EMMA WATSON REALLY BUGS ME. OMG, she's an okay actress (unlike some others, she can show emotion), but she's just NOT Hermione. Rupert Grint's hair in the fourth movie is going to be LONG (like how Fred and George's hair was)...And Mike Newell had BETTER be able to get Daniel Radcliffe so show SOME emotion, like he did in the third movie (for once).GAH and Ralph Fiennes (sp?) (from Red Dragon and Maid in Manhattan) is going to be Lord Voldemort. I really don't want this guy to be Voldie, I mean, it's like the Gary Oldman thing. He's a good actor that doesn't fit the part AT ALL.And there's going to be someone other than Steve Kloves who's going to write the screenplay for the 5th (I believe, it may have been the 6th, but I doubt it) movie. Great. And there'll be another new director, of course. Well, maybe that's a good thing. Chris Columbus, the only guy to direct 2 movies completely destroyed it.He was the one who chose Daniel Radcliffe (he didn't even audition!!), he was the one who left out SO many parts in the first two movies, etc. Then again, in the third, the MARAUDERS were left completely unexplained. Didn't Harry wonder HOW Lupin knew it was a map?And David Thewlis!! Once again, good actor that doesn't fit the part.Lol, really interesing coincidence though, David Thewlis was in Dragonheart, along with Jason Isaacs. No, that's not the coincidence. Jason Isaacs portrays Lucius Malfoy, father of Draco Malfoy, who is portrayed by Tom Felton. In Dragonheart, Jason Isaacs portray Lord Felton!! Lol.Okay, I'm done now
  11. Lol, that's pretty good...here's something my chemistry teacher told my class:If vegetarians eat vegatables, what do humanitarians eat?He also had a list of more funny things in the English language, but I can't remember them all.
