DSL and Cable....both have the same speed actually....but the difference lies in two factors:1. DSL is more secure in the sense that you can determine when to cut the connection. With cable connection you cannot do so.2. If somehow, you forget your DSL password, or if ur DSL connection closes automatically,then you will have to spend a lot of time on technical support...whereas in Cable...if ur connection closes...all u need to do is shut ur pc down...reboot it after 2 minutes and if it doesnt connect...then just tell ur Cable guy to fix it...this way Cable is more simpler as options are very limited here.If you need to know anything about troubleshooting ur dsl or cable networks..u can mail me at mv09@yahoo.co.uk...coz i hv been Tech Support guy for LINKSYS (a divison of CISCO) for any advice.Bye,Mohit Vohra

well buddy...wat u went was quite normal in today's world....even i had to wait for one full day...with tests after tests...and the way they conducted it...it seemed as if it was done manually...so slow and frustating...all my plans were spoiled.My younger brother had come specially to c me and i had to stick around for 10 hours.But i must say that those 10 hours were fruitful as the bosses gave me a job immediately thereafter...there was a guy who stomped out of there....and he wasnt even allowd to apply for next 6 months for dat company...coz of his rash act.So my frnd........just hang on...u will get ur job...its just a waiting game...testing period.Bye,Mohit Vohra

As for my pc specs... her they are: Intel P4 1.9 Ghz Motherboard + Gigabyte Processor Intel XTreme Graphics XL Graphics card (i forget model no.but its the latest one) 100 GB HDD On-board 2.1 Soundcard 256MB DDR RAM 17" Samsung FLat Color Monitor Samsung DVD-Rom Dual boot---Windows XP and WIN 2k. Well i think u should go for an AGP slot...because by default a pc does hv 3 pci slots...which are more than enough...for say ur lan card...ur sound card...In addition u can get one additional or maybe two agp slots.Bye for now.

An access point is merely a transmitter...which has the following features: 1. It can be used just to increase the range of your wireless network...say from abt 30 metres to anywhere in the house....This method is also known as Access point bridging.. 2. It can be used to just send the signals forward...that is, an access point can only transmit the signals...the main job of providing connection is the actual line coming behind ur router....So you can just connect your access point to your wired router and through your wireless pc access the internet too. So this function is like that of a wireless switch.
