OK, just a thought here- since everyone keeps suggessting PS & stuff, and we need not to spend any $$ here... What about using the trial version for a bit? Maybe while you save up? Almost every program for sale offers a trial version. Not a good fix for the long haul, unless maybe you could reinstall or something, that might be against the rules, Im not sure about all that, and of course some features may not be available - but for a free prog, GIMP is definitely the best available, also if you need a free 3d prog for anything you might want to check out blend... its also open source like gimp

I also know css, dhtml, some javascript and speak a little italian.. My oldest says I can yell with a look, does that count? lol

If you're BRAND NEW at html & stuff... check out dynamicdrive.com Lots of little scripts & copy & paste codes to help you get some extra bells & whistles while you're learning. DD is a great site for beginners, they have a couple javascripts that you can copy & paste to make your gallery...I used it for my first one...

Hi there! I use dreamweaver studio mx now, and like you- I adore it. It is really expensive though... Before I saved up enough to get it, I used coffee cup. It's a pretty sweet little program and theres a coffeeftp too. Both are free. You can just go to cnet or download.com and do a search for some freeware editors. Download.com always has a ton of stuff.
