  1. like I said I know as much PHP as it takes to set up user logins profile pages registrations beyond that it gets fuzzy. I have a couple books but they all seem to cover the same ground storing data seting up databases mass email that sort of thing. I haven't found a source that can help me with this subject so I figured I'd look on the forums. Iguess thats where I'm at so if you can point me to some reference or study materials that would be great because I would like to know how to do this and don't want to resort to drupal or joomla or anything like that. I'd like to do it from scratch
  2. I guess it sounds worse than it is. I was just trying to use an example to clarify what it was I was doing. But it is people creating pages.
  3. no,NO facebook. No friending to see pages I just want people to make pages that can then be viewed in an open environment. For example you can come to the site and look through all the pages that have already been created and if you don't see a page for say Healix (me) than you can create one and it will upload into the existing pages. Just creating pages that's really all it is. Come to the site create a page. End of story. I guess that's the core of it.
  4. ok so the basis for my site is you see a list of people if you don't see the person you're looking for you can create a page for them. I know user login, reg, profiles but I can't seem to figure out how to do that. I've ben messing around with user profile pages but that's not what i want. Ideally I don't even want users to have to login but I feel that's the only way to keep the new pages in check. Where to go from here. If I didn't make it clear as to what I'm doing please ask. I've been working on this too long and need to finish.
