  1. I am by no means proficient in php and know only basic html, but when trying to create a website for a friend I came across a really useful article talking about the ten most common php vulnerabilities. The article would be quite old now, so I'm not sure how useful it will be, but it should provide insight at any rate. CLICK HERE to view. From what I gathered, it's not dangerous to use php as long as it is coded correctly. Not being good with php, I personally would either avoid using it until I learned more or use a graphical/WYSIWYG (what-you-see-is-what-you-get) program like adobe dreamweaver that will input the code blocks for you. Again, I haven't really used these programs so I am a little out of my league. My apologies if I'm incorrect or not making sense. Hope this helps
  2. Hello Yordan. Thank you for the welcome I've tried writing novels/books but have found that I can't stay motivated on a particular project for that long (I tend to have many projects that I start but never finish). I've written a few poems, my most recent being about a special day in my country called remembrance day. On this day, we remember our soldiers that have fought and died for us. I'm by no means a great poet and write mainly for myself, but I try to write about what I feel passionately towards. The poem is as follows: Remembrance We commemorate the fallen We remember those who passed We bow our heads in silence As our flag sits at half mast We thank the men who went to war To fight for what was right We praise the men who went to war Who showed their endless might We owe those men our freedom We owe those men our lives We owe those men great respect We even owe their wives The loving wives and cheerful kids Whom which the men adore Were the motivation For the men to go to war Every time they took a hit Every time they fell They'd think towards their wives and kids Then send their foes to hell We won the fight, we saved our land But at a mighty cost Many men were killed at war Many lives were lost To all the men that fought and died To the children and the wives May your deeds of selflessness In our minds remain alive Thank you men, thank you wives Thank you one and all Thank you for the help you gave However big or small.
  3. Hello everyone,I came across this site while searching for a free web host and thought I'd join. My main reason for joining Xisto -as opposed to one of the competitors- is because I like the idea that people can earn their web hosting through being an active member of the forum. It promotes socialising, which I think is important in a world where we are becoming more and more isolated and anti-social what with the influx of technology and the innumerable pleasures that it bestows us (this is, at least, the case in my circles of friends and family).I suppose I better say a little about me, so here goes... I live in Australia and am currently doing my HSC; this is the Australian equivolent of the American Advanced Placement. My interests involve anything to do with computers/technology, surfing (I'm currently riding a 6'4" Webber Afterburner and 6'4" Misfit Fish), writing and learning.I better leave it at that as my class is about to begin, but thanks for taking the time to read my introduction. I look forward to being an active member of this forum
