  1. I've got Virtumart installed on one of my sites, but it's a really big program and I just want something basic. I wish there was a stripped down version of it. The site I've got it installed on is for a friend's vacation house that he rents out. So I only have one product, no manufactuers, no vendors, no product pictures, no attributes, etc. And I'd love to be able to add a text box on the shopping cart page where the customer can enter the dates they want to stay. Is that possible??Michelle Z.
  2. Yes, God exists. I know this for myself. And that's the key - finding out for yourself. Becasue someone can give you the science behind evolution, and someone else can give you the evidence of miracles.. but until you discover for yourself, none of that really matters. On the note of evolution - has anyone seen the movie Expelled with Ben Stein? Awesome show! I highly recomend it. (sorry if someone already mentioned that movie)So how do you find out for yourself? ... It's really a matter of faith, and not science. So I'm not sure it belongs in this forum. But my advice is to start with prayer. Michelle Z.
  3. If you stop and think about how much money you spend on cell phones, it's a bit rediculous. And what are you really paying for? I think partially we're paying for the privilage of being "up to date". So $150 per month means I can text and recieve texts (because your friends will think you're lame if you can't text or be texted). It means that when someone can't get a hold of me, they get even more upset becasue "why do you even have a cell phone if you don't answer it!" ... I get that a lot. It means that with internet, games and apps my kids will always have their eyes glued to a screen (there's no escape from TV, or games, or the internet!) That also means less quality family time and less communication. Yes, I think cell phones have up sides too, but maybe we were better off without them.Michelle Z.
  4. I can't believe no one has put anything about all the wonderful Video Game Music out there! Probably the most popular is Halo and World of Warcraft. But you have to admit that most of the stuff from the Final Fantasy Series is really great. And who could forget Xenogears. Probably some of the best music ever writen for a Video Game. But I think currently, my favorite is Mass Effect.Good stuff!Michelle Z.
  5. Arabic Music is perfect for belly dancing!! Which I do :DHossam Ramzy & Phil ThorntonGalactic CaravanVasThose are my favoirites!Michelle Z.
  6. So many! First, I gotta start with Thomas Newman. He did stuff like American Beauty, The Green Mile, Erin Brockovich, Pay It Forward, Shawsank Redemption, White Oleander, Cinderella Man, A Series of Unfortunate Events... the list goes on. All excellent music filled with passion and emotion! And then of course there's Danny Elfman! Beetle Juice, Sleepy Hollow, Hell Boy, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (the new one), Big Fish, Spiderman, Men in Black, Edward Scissorhands, Nightmare Before Christmas... His flavor in the film industry is unmistakeable.James Newton-Howard. Can't forget him. Signs, The Sixth Sense, Lady in the Water. He's got some great ones.Great mood music. Great to listen to when you just need to escape for a while.Michelle Z.
  7. I love They Might Be Giants. Actually my husband got me into them, but I love that they don't take themselves to seriously and I love that they aren't to good for their fans. I'm sure they are totally sick of "Istambul" but they still play it at every concert because they know what their fans want to hear. Seems like many artists these days will refuse to play certain songs because they're tired of them. I think musicians need to keep in mind who pays their bills.I also love that They Might Be Giants are kid friendly. They have tons of kids music. They've embraced what their good at even if it isn't the most "hip" thing. I love that my kids love them. :DMichelle Z.
  8. Hey everyone,I looked all through the games section on this forum and couldn't find anything about LARP'ing. Live Action Role Playing. Yes, I'm truly letting my geekness show, hehe. I actually help run a LARP game in Salt Lake City and it's super fun! Not sure if this forum section is strictly for computer games, but I thought I'd add in my two cents :DHas anyone tried it? I know it sounds nerdy, but if you think about it, actually getting outdoors socializing with real people (instead of just talking to people over a headset), getting some excersize, and expanding your mind on a creative level... It has its up-sides.I'm the web admin for my little LARP group, and that's how I stumbled upon Xisto. I was looking for a new hosting service - something a bit more afordable. So if you're bored, and want to check it out the web address is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Lots of pictures and articles and info.Michelle Z.
