  1. I've heard of string theory, and I know that it's baisically the belief that multiple universes exist in parallell and only gravitons can travel between them. My question is: Do you believe in String Theroy, and what do you know about it that you could teach me?
  2. Who owns/has played he games included in The Orange Box? The Orange Box is a game pack from Valve that includes some of their best games (or at least I hear so): Half-Life 2, Half-Life 2 Episode 1 and Episode 2, Team Fortress 2, and Portal. I don't own any of these [yet], but i have played Portal. It's an FPS where you play a test subject. Around chamber 5, you get the forst part of the "Apeture Science Handheld Portal Device". It can shoot a blue portal. There is also an orange portal. When you go in one portal, you come out the other. In chamber 11, you get the other part of the gun. You can then shoot both portals. It is a puzzle game, with fun, albeit hard, puzzles.
  3. I am, in fact, new though. Just thought I'd say hi, as I make enough credits to get hosting. I;ve made one post sp far and already have 2.63, so getting 30 doesn't seem hard!
  4. Okay, now this is going to sound a little far-out, but I would reccomend C++. It is fairly simple to learn, and you can do more with it than with any game maker program. There are some good C++ tutorials at http://www.3dbuzz.com/ if you want to learn it. It takes dedication and time to learn it though. If you don't want to jump right to the big stuff though, I would reccomend gamemaker. It is a really simple program. If you do want to eventually move onto C++ and the like, then you should buy Gamemaker and learn the basics of GML. Then look at the first C++ VTMs from 3dbuzz. You'll notice that they're quite similar. GML is essentally C, which is the parent of C++. The main difference between C and C++ is that C doesn't have classes. GML DOES[ have classes, you just can't make your own. That's all I have to say.
