It is possible to use sendmail even if your host dont support them, you only need to provide an alternate sendmail server with login credentials. I made mine using gmail as sendmail server. I dont get you by "you only need to provide an alternate sendmail server with login credentials."..... because I have problem with sendmail , so I want to find a good free hosting which provide smtp services. then I find here through http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Log in CPanel 2. find the database manager to creat a new database. normally, if your login username is AREO then your MySQL Database Name/Username would be like "AREO_XXXXXX" PS:Sometimes you can do it on phpmyadmin ~ it depends on your hosting. 3. you need to set up a password for your new database like"AREO_XXXXXX" Note: you need to find out your db host (ie: wall.space.com, pls check your host provider) the creatiing mysql db completed!!

I've just registerd a free hosting with providing the SMTP.the whole install and setup of OSC run well but it can't send any mails in the end.sendmail for OSC can't run in a free hosting without smtp ?

You need to overview the php.ini and do_signup1.php as well, check out if sth wrg w/ the setting.From my exprenice, most people have problem with the setting in php.ini, like SMPT details, you may check your ISP info firstly.
