A long time ago, in a galaxy not so far away... I was using PHP1h.com. It seemed like a pretty good host. Unmetered Bandwidth, a good amount of space, PHP scripts, .htaccess. All untill a few weeks ago. I recieved an email from the support team saying that they would be upgrading their servers. The next thing I knew, all my files were gone! They had changed all the usernames to something insane, like P_716392. I emailed them multiple times, but to no avail. GO ASTRAHOST! -
Before I begin, you must remember that the columns that you will be searching in must be a fulltext index Let's start with the basics: Just the relavant results: (Searching for "Ducks"): SELECT * FROM tablename WHERE MATCH(coloumnname,columnname2) AGAINST ('Ducks'); But that just won't work. Will it? Let's try again, this time ordering by the relavancy. SELECT * FROM tablename WHERE MATCH(coloumnname,columnname2) AGAINST ('Ducks') ORDER BY MATCH(columnname,columnname2) AGAINST ('Ducks'); That's better!

Firefox is open source => which means it's free => goodness. Also, you can go to https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/new/?utm_source=getfirefox-com&utm_medium=referral to get plugins and estensions, while with IE you will have to get some stupid "service pack" that ruins your OS anyway.

I was searching online for a free webhost (before Xisto, of course) and Office Live popped up first on the list of results. I investigated further. They where hosting free domain names and ASP scripting. I tried to sign up. Halfway through, it promted me for my credit card number. One thing led to another, and now I use Xisto. My vote is obvious: Xisto -
Blue robot's web layouts are clean, simple, and easy to use. It has limited templates, and was last updated in 2002, but it has some pretty good stuff.

How many of you have trouble with raw SQL? This Web-based Utility allows you to connect to a MySQL server, and modify pretty much everything that you would want to do in SQL.

Here are two websites I'd recommend:domainlagoon.com You have to fill out surveys that take "20 minutes" (more like an hour) and you get your own free .com .net .us. domain! You actually have legal ownership of the domain!http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ get your own free .tk domain. Almost instantanious, but has URL forwarding only. -
One christmas, I recieved a spare parts desktop. I joyously installed RedHat and Windows XP, only to find that XP had corrupted the HD! I tried again, this time with only Debian. I was working fine, untill I got to installing X11. The mouse refused to work! I kept getting:USB device not exepting port 1New USB device on port 2USB device not exepting port 2and on and on and on.Anyone got any ideas?
