What i heard was that they want to make it locked where you could change your hardware without getting a new license but tat pissed everyone off and they stopped it. However the oem ones might still be locked. At this point everything you hear could be rumours. The copyright stuff wouldn't surprise me that much. I'm staying with xp anyways

I recently switched to linux about 2 months ago. mostly because I idea of open source and and the community support of it. I started with fedora core 3, then I kind of went away from it and went back to windows. More recently i got fedora core 5 which i enjoy.

I'm going though the same problem here at my school. However my admins are smart, blocking every site they can. Also you need to use cgi based proxys to log into a forum or password based website. Most likely the one that wouldnt let you log in was php based. My school also sees titles and if there black listed the site gets block within a few seconds. However you have to be smarter and strip the title and encrypt the url. I voted desktop but mostly because ive had trouble with laptops overheating and power problems. However if you travel at all laptops would be for you. On the other hand desktops are cooler(In two ways) and can be upgraded easily. well thats my half cent.

4/5 I used to pay for rs until about a month ago.(when i quit) but i gave it a 4 because its pretty fun after a while. However alot of the stuff there is biast<(spelled wrong i think? ) they listen to the mods and not the normal players. runescape does have almost weekly updates so thats a plus and very little server downtime. so ya im done writing about it. edit: no offense Sparkx but your a complete idiot the only way a keylogger could get on your computer is if you downloaded something rs related.(I.E. a macro program or a "FREE GP" thing) and if you had a half way decent firewall-antivirus it would block and remove it. However i have got one before and i had to reinstall windows. Also anyone can find out your ip i mean its logged on most forums-password protected sites(including this one). Oh and if you dont want to deal with all (most) of the virus stuff get linux
