Firewalls Anti-virus, Anti-Spyvware and firewalls
inevitable replied to jonassen-tjader's topic in Software
Zonealarm is the best. Its designed for both Experts and Novice Users. Allows full control over the firewall configuration. Takes only a decent amount of memory. I've been using Zone Alarm for over 2 years and its still the best. -
Anyone Tried Norton 2006 Yet? Feedback Please
inevitable replied to sandeep1405241520's topic in Software
Even I dislike the Avast interface, but it has a few built-in skins that makes it look way better. Don't get close to Nortan Anti Virus, unless you have atleast 2 GB of RAM. (Only then you woudn't feel the difference ) It used to be very good, but the interface started hogging alot of memmory even though it wasn't impressive. Im my opinion Norton products are for novice users. -
Antimatter Science Fiction becomes Science Fact
inevitable replied to Kyle Perkins's topic in Science and Technology
Thats sweet! If a few more decades are put into anti matter research we might not need nuclear or non-renewable sources of energy. Then again theres the bad side to everything; this again would fuel even more powerful bombs, and wars would be more deadly. -
Google Having Voice Activated Search
inevitable replied to Sam2698's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I doubt google would suceed. There's going to have to be massive amounts of time spent researching people's accents and the way they talk if its going to be sucessful. Besides, by the time its out, the whole "cyber world" will be able to type 4 words in less than 2 second, so whats the point? -
Phtobucket isn't good for large, bandwidth intensive pictures but for a large collection of small pictures photobucket is the best. Otherwise imageshack by far surpasses any other free image hosting service mainly due to its speed and reliability. I once even recovered a 1 year old picture from them.

I've been a fan of Gran Turismo since day 1! The simulation is by far the best and the car selection is HUGE. (sorry for the Capitals but iyts just for emphasis..) Gran Turismo 4 is going to be huge hit...or atleast I hope so. I hope the makers live upto our expectations.

Picking The Perfect Case Its not as easy as it seems...
inevitable replied to kevlar557's topic in Hardware Workshop
I spend $40 on my case and it looks awesome, coolings perfect and it fits perfectly with my motherboard and matches my Monitor's colour. You usually don't have to worry about compatibility as the vendor would only show you compatible casings as you tell them the Motherboard Model. The only problem with my Compute ris that it consumes a whopping 500 Watts. -
I used to play that game. Didn't play it for long. The problem with all text based games are that they get very repetitive and you end up getting bored. In the start iy may seem as though there are plenty of thigs to do but the "excitement" fades away with time. The thing what really disturbs me is the fact that is the best out of all online business tycoon games. Theres probably like 3 or 4 games that I've played and read reviews about.

Please Recommend A Decently Priced & Good FPS Game
inevitable replied to Asaf's topic in Computer Gaming
Get SWAT 4. Its a very good mimic of the real situations the real life SWAT teams face and puts you in their position to see what it is like. The best part of the game (atleast according to me) is the fact that you have to follow the police rulkes anyway. "Shoot only IF suspect tried to shoot you" So the guns isn't used as much as it was expected to be. But the ingame graphics and life like situations and suspects make up for it. -
Blogs are for those who are jobless! Hehe Joking. Blogs make your life too public and everyone knows whats happening to you. Its for those who want publicity. Blogs will never replace "hanging aroung with friends" I admire corporate blogging though. Since its customer's need to know whats happening in the company, blogs provide the company a way to do this and enhances its reliablility factor as customer would know what the company is doing ir planning to do.

Netflix Wants Blockbuster Online Shut
inevitable replied to balend's topic in Science and Technology
More competitors means better service for their customers. If blockbuster is kicked out of the market netflix might get a bit complacent the same way hotmail become coomplacent when it was the number one free e-mail provider. If Blockbuster wins the case, the only different that would distinguish between them is service and price. Each one would try to out price the other and give better offers and provide a better service in an attempt to get hold of the market. -
I used to play Kings of Chaos, but only for a few months then it became too repetitive. ADR is useless for Kings of Chaos I presume. Just learn PHP and start experimenting and you should be able to make the game in a few months.

Thank, was searching for something like this. Now to create my own world and be master of it!

Read 1 or 2 C++ Books. Then familarize yourself with java and php. SHould be easy after you learn C++. Don't bother with Visual basic. Some don't even consider it a programming langauge. If yoiu're serious about creating a game, don't depend on VB otherwise VB is the way to go!
