  1. i work as an editor and in professional studios the standard is Avid. I reckon its products might be too expensive for home editing, though there is one great exeption: avid dv xpress free, which u can download on the website for.. euh.. free. I never used it but i heard good things about it. It might just do what you need. When i started in this bussiness i used adobe premiere.. though it is more basic than avid software, it does quite a lot.
  2. guess i'm still a bit old fashioned about all this.. can't imagine watching a movie in the configuration i got set up here.. i need a couch, something to put my feet on.. etc etc watching my expensive download on a computer monitor just ain't the same thing.. so untill they make it possible to burn the movies it's not a possibility for me...
  3. me and my friends have been using msn for years now. it seems to me it is very popular in european countries. i got aim installed but only use it to talk to 1 certain american friend. and google talk, i never even heard of it. i liked the way msn expanded over the years, making it easy to use webcams and stuff like that. So i'm quite satisfied but now i've read msn is going to change into Windows Life, and it will not langer stay free. Must investigate all that first..
